They came tow my truck price. Was 930$ in 30 minutes they changed to 1200$ I didn't mind cause I don't like war I told them to send invoice but while they sent invoice they sent 1398$ even when I paid them they said that no money they received then when I told them that I'm going to report them to the catholic charity they sent back money and say that it's missed something but before they was saying that they didn't receive anything,, I could put screen shot for the return back Mt money and I do check the views you have cheap service and peoples cry here

Imma be honest. We was broken down at the old mostollers gas station. I called & asked for a quote. They gave me one. I let them come. They was here within like 5 mins of the phone call. The guy that came was kind. Hooked my car up & let my husband ride with him. But as we waiting those 5 mins I checked reviews & truly my heart dropped & I wanted to call back & cancel. But I didn’t. Everyone’s experience is different & I had an excellent one. So 10/10 service & I will recommend you guys to anyone. The kindness & compassion. Who ever the driver was last night deserves a raise for how well he handled everything & the kindness. The kindness is what matters the most to me. The way we was treated so thank you!

We hit a deer and car ended up disabled, they got to us quickly once we called for a tow and were quick to get our car off the side of 219 and to the mechanic of our choice was a lil pricey but overall would recommend!

So they pulled in and told us it was going to be 126 to tow per an hour.... Then they were like well because this was a 911 call. It's going to be 256. And since it's an hour and a half, it's 405. They totally robbed a 17-year-old kid. If you get in an accident, do not call them!!! By the way, they showed up at 1:05. They were at my house at 1:45 but it's been an hour and a half ??‍♀️(WE WERE AT OUR HOUSE BY 1:30) it was a 20-minute drive. Somerset to davidsville which is still in Somerset. GO ELSEWHERE THEY ARE A RIP OFF!!!

OUTRAGEOUS!! They tried to charge me 450.00 to put on a spare tire. We were 8 minutes away from their shop. And HAD THE TIRE!! 450.00 for a tire change. Absolutely outrageous. We ended up calling a friend to help us change the tire ourselves.

A BIG NO!!!!! As a truck driver. They Charge me $ 1750.00 For Just 1 Drive tire change in my Semi Truck. I was surprised by how expensive this service turned out to be. While the quality itself was decent, the pricing felt unreasonably high compared to what’s typically offered elsewhere

We experienced our alternator go out on the Turnpike on a road trip back home. The tow truck was there within 30 min. The real service was in the extra effort of our driver. Believe it was Ryan. He knew we were struggling to find an available mechanic. It looked like it would be a dealership 20 miles away. He didn't want to leave us at a local place that couldn't service the car. He called the office, explained the situation, and coordinated having a driver take us to the dealership. Luckily, a local mechanic called us to bring the car over. Ryan dropped us off at the hotel and took the car over to the mechanic. After a scary experience on the road, stress with the car issue, and still 6 hours away from home, his effort and consideration meant everything! Thank you so much!

My son was driving my diesel pickup truck across the PA turnpike when the fuel pump went out and stranded him along the PA turnpike on Father's Day. They were there within in 15 minutes from the call and towed him to a diesel repair shop. Fast, efficient, courteous, safe, and reasonable rates (especially since it was a Sunday evening). Definitely 5 a star service!

Not recommended to any of the truckers. Please never go to this place or call time for a road service they have the worst customer service and the worst manager, they towed our truck to their shop first they said $1000 then they charged us double and they didn’t want to do the repairs was excusing we don’t have technician available which is really disappointing for a truck driver. And was not accepting credit card or debit card they wanted cash only or Wire transfer I will never recommend this location to any of my truckers as per my experience.

Big thanks to James! We lost our serpentine belt on the turnpike and he towed us and our trailer to Advanced Auto to get a new belt. He also called the store for us to make sure we could get the new part as ot was 10 min to their closing time and we wouldnt get there in time. Excellent service and drivers who go the extra mile. I had two coolant lines go out on me on Saturday, and was recommended Herring Motors from another company that couldn't make it out. I had another company, better days trucking company come out the night before to try to repair the lines. They tried to jury rig the lines with some heater hose and ended up busting another one of my lines. I made it all of 7 miles up the road before I was leaking coolant again. They got payment and I called them back to let them know what happened, Better days assured me he would be back out in the morning to fix it for me. He flaked and ignored my phone calls all morning, which led me to eventually calling Herring Motors. I spoke with a gentleman, JB who told me he could repair them so I could get home for easter. As soon as he arrived I knew he would have it fixed properly. After removing the shitty heater hose that better days mobile repair put on there, he actually changed out the fittings and fixed it! I drove about 600 miles from where I was broke down and not once did a single drop of coolant come out of the lines where he repaired them. I cant thank JB enough and Herring motors is a truly reputable company that stand behind their work and super reasonable with their rates. If you are broke down in the vicinity of Somerset PA, call up JB and let him come get you right!

I was not at this place of business I was at the one beside it. But I will rate on past experiences They are the reason I am not aAAA member after almost 30 years. Had a flat tire on my truck after 2 1/2hours of waiting called a friend and we did ourselves. If i ever need a tow or road service it won't be them

Got a blowout on a trailer tire and the Geico service guy stopped to see if he could help. He gave me the number for this place so I called. They wanted $1000 for a tire! Called the TA in Breezewood and they’re $300. These guys are the ones that are recommended? Edit: so they wanted $250 to dispatch, $140 per hour from the time the person left until they returned to the shop, 6% service fee, 6% tax plus the $1000 for a tire. Something fishy with the turnpike using this company.

Highly NOT recommended!! Wait few hours when roughly 12 miles away wouldn’t give a time someone show them say someone on way that wasn’t. When they show up had nothing to do job at all!! I end up calling someone hour away he shows up does the job in half hour and these people still had nerve to charge $460 for doing absolutely nothing!!! Will never call them or recommend these idiots ever! If gonna service the Pa turnpike should at least show up able to do the job and have a capable person. Pissed off is putting it lightly!!!

I work in health care, heading into work as usual.Today the weather was very harsh to say the least. I was less than 12 miles from work in somerset, when my vehicle broke down. I searched for towing and found herring motors they had no problem or delay to help me. The cost is high considering the dangerous roads and taking me back to confluence. I want to thank you and your driver for taking time to come out in bad weather. Thank you Thank you.

On January 16th, 2017 I was in training on my very first trucking run with my trainer for Hogan transports out of St. Louis. I forget where we were ultimately delivering to, but on the turnpike our trailer had a bearing that overheated and caught fire. This company not only rescued us, but got us repaired in a few days. I know I'm a little late in reviewing (okay almost 7 years later lol) but thanks to looking at my Google timeline for the first time ever, I was able to pinpoint this information so I wanted to give them credit due. Although it's very unlikely I'll ever have to repeat business with them, I would so in a second if I ever found myself in a similar situation a thousand miles from home lol

If I could give them zero stars, I would. They picked us up off the turnpike at a rest stop and drove us 2 miles off the turnpike and dropped us in an abandoned lot with a 3 and 5 year old stating that someone else would be picking us up. The second leg of our trip was never arranged and when we called to speak about it, we were hung up on. We were abandoned in a parking lot in the dark with small children and hung up on when we called to discuss the concern. We had to wait several hours into the night for another company to come and get us. I have never been more disgusted in my life by their horrible treatment of my family. Edit to add: we were dropped off in an abandoned hotel parking lot. The hotel that was not abandoned next door told us we could not stay there. We were in an abandoned lot for 6 hours while I coordinated with AAA who told me that according to their paperwork, Herring had agreed to take us the whole way home and had not entered into the system that they did not do this, but instead left the ticket open so AAA was unaware Herring was not completing the job they had agreed to. When we called to talk with Herring about this we were hung up on. There is no amount of talking out of it that will fix this issue. We were left in an abandoned hotel parking lot with a 3 and 5 year old and Herring refused to talk with us in the phone about the error or to end the ticket with AAA. Disgusting.

Been a customer here, on and off, for years. They’ve always done decent work at a fair price, big truck repairs and towing. Pat was always a great guy that’d do anything he could to help a guy out. Hopefully they continue on with his and his daddy’s legacy.

I had an incredibly bad experience with this tow service. They charged me an outrageous $2,500 for towing my vehicle just three miles. The cost was completely unjustified and far above what any reasonable tow service would charge. I strongly advise avoiding this company at all costs. Their pricing is predatory, and their service is not worth the money. Save yourself the headache and find a more reputable tow service.

WORST TOWING COMPANY IN EXISTENCE!!!!!!!!! Put in a call for a tow 5 hours later told the turnpike was more important! Update: it took them 15 hours to come tow my truck!!!!! An hour after they towed my truck my car broke down and Herrings canceled my service call without telling me!!! I seriously don't get how this dump is still in business! Theyre totally unprofessional and their trucks are filthy.

The worst attitude ever. They were called by police to tow our truck and trailer, estimate was 765.45 for 1.5 hours. They completed the job in 40 mins and I was willing to pay for 1 hour anyways. The lady at the office needs to go back to school to learn to speak to people because she was the rudest ever person I have ever talked. We ended up paying for 1.5 hours and she called me if I would not pay in 10 mins she would tell her driver to bring the truck to their yard to overcharge our company. DO NOT USE

Herring does an excellent job at taking care of their customers. I have triple A and when I get stuck in the mud, snow, lock my keys in my car, etc they are who comes to save my day. Recently I was doing a photoshoot with a friend and her car, a dodge challenger, and we got it stuck in the mud. When I called triple A and they dispatched a tow, I asked if it was Herring that was coming. When they said yes I felt relieved because they always know what they’re doing and come as quickly as possible. We waited 20 minutes and they were there, within another 20 minutes the vehicle was unstuck and we were set. Brandy at the desk was also super nice. Thanks for always taking such great care of me!!

My husband locked his keys in in his truck. He called AAA and they called Herrings. They left my husband sit in 85 degree heat for 3 1/2 hours before they showed up. When I called Herrings and tried to explain that he is 70 years old and has a severe heart condition this is what the dispatcher said to me “ I don’t know why he keeps calling AAA we only have two trucks and they are on the turnpike. We have 6 calls ahead of him so he will just have to wait. His heart condition is not my problem. “ I said so you don’t even have someone in a pick up truck that can go out and open the door? “No, we have two trucks that is it.” My husband was literally 3 miles from their office. We are canceling AAA until they get a better company in this town. They make the turnpike a priority because they can make big money there. The local people don’t count. If you look at the reviews the only good ones are from the turnpike ***The response to my review my a complete lie. My husband was loved out 2-1/2 hours before I called Herring Motors, not 13 minutes. We even received a phone call from the AAA district manager apologizing for the delay in service we received Herrings and the treatment we received by them. With a 3.5 rating on here and a2.5 rating on Yelp you really can’t defend your company.

ABF Driver who always Requests Herring Motors for Recovery on the Turnpike in Somerset PA area. Always a quick response time for what they do. Great People who have helped this Driver out many times… and Probably Many More.

I had a tire blowout on the PA turnpike this past Friday night. Adam & Cody responded to the call. They were very timely, polite and proficient. I was not in a good location, meaning I was on a curve at the bottom of a long hill. I was shaken and just wanted to get this fixed and out of danger. After they replaced my tire they kindly had me follow them about a mile up the turnpike to a safer spot to complete the billing transaction. $150 a very fair price considering it was late at night, on the turnpike and a dangerous location. I highly recommend these guys!! Thank you Adam and Cody!!

The staff was helpful and their washrooms are very clean. Went there for sudden need for auto repair but they don’t work on passenger vehicle. So we actually did not get any service for them. But I decides to rate them for helping with with giving information about nearby auto repair.
