Lapp Valley is a must-stop for any ice cream or dairy lover. My family absolutely loves their homemade items (especially the chocolate milk and waffle cones) and getting to enjoy it all while walking around the farm is what summer days are made for.
I purchased ice cream from Lapp Valley Farm expecting authentic, homemade quality, but after reading the ingredients, I was shocked. The label “Homemade Ice Cream” feels misleading when the ingredients are far from what you’d use at home. Consumers deserve transparency, especially when it comes to what we feed our families.
They’ve been a family staple since as early as I can remember-long before the large store they use now-and when I became a parent they became a staple for my son. Hands down THE best ice cream and the only place I can manage to find butter brickle ice cream. Should you ever find yourself there taking pictures or videos; please be mindful in general, especially if you’re including people. The setting is serine and picturesque and the food and livestock are captivating as well.
We absolutely love the milkshakes here, no matter where we travel to nothing compares to Lapp Valley. The best there is. Fun place to take the grandkids to and see the animals while enjoying some yummy ice cream.
My adult son is obsessed with the chocolate milk . It’s his favorite.

Lapp Valley Farm is absolutely beautiful. It's peaceful countryside views, friendly Jersey cows, and the best ice cream I’ve ever had! It’s so creamy and fresh, made right on the farm. We loved being able to see and pet the young cows (not the babies), but the curious, gentle ones. Such a perfect stop for families or anyone who loves a true farm-to-cone experience!
Hands down the BEST ice cream ever 🍦👏. AND the aroma of the waffle cones as soon as you walked in...Could not resist.
The dairy operation there was fascinating, so different from what I’ve experienced. Jersey Cows are well cared for and LOVE the fact that they also have a drive-thru!!!
Worth every minute drive. I live more than an hour away and I am happy that they close at 7:30pm. I added some photos for anyone that needs to know which flavor they offered. Cheers
Ice cream is always incredible and they let you pet the Jersey Cows. No restrooms that I could see. Cats that wander. Listen, if you want to pet the cows, they will lick you with their huge tongues. 😂
Ice cream is very nice and I loved it, however if you look at the ingredients listed on the packed boxes on sale, they have a lot of additives like yellow 6, Red 40 and Blue 1 for coloring; and corn syrup for sugar taste; and mono and diglycerides etc. I feel bad after eating it since it was advertised as home made ice cream, I thought I was having a healthier option for my family :( I specifically asked if the packed boxes have the same ingredients with the open ones they sell on cones, and they confirmed that they are the same ones. Side notes, they use vanilla extract in vanilla flavor if you avoid alcohol in your diet.
I have been to literally hundreds of ice cream/gelato shops all over the US and the world and I still hold the belief that Lapp Valley Farm has some of the highest quality ice cream you will ever find.
Also, their waffle cones are really good as well!
We go to this ice cream shop every time we visit Amish area. They have a variety of ice cream flavors as well as dairy products. The also do have some activities for kids.
The ice cream is delicious. The smell of freshly made waffle cone hits you as you walk in (inspired me to get one and I was not disappointed). The grounds are beautiful and they have a nice porch to relax on as you enjoy your ice cream.
My perfect best-ever ice cream experience! Cute shop, step in & smell the fresh waffle cones being made! Lots of fresh dairy & ice cream take out products. I got 2 scoop waffle cone with butter brittle and butter pecan, it just doesn't get any fresher than this! We visited the dairy cows getting milked, and saw adorable calves getting bottle fed. An Amish buggy pulled up to the drive through window, so I went back in for a coconut milkshake & my wife got 2 gallons to go.

Let's start by saying that the Homemade Ice Cream (cookies and cream and butter pecans) was one of the best Ice creams I ever had and the beautiful ladies at the counter were really nice and friendly. Also, we have a nice experience with the cows. Highly recommended!!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Best chocolate milk I've ever had. I assume that turns into some amazing ice cream, although we didn't try that this time. You can go inside or drive through, which is nice. But if you have time, there's a tractor for the kids to play on with a beautiful view, cows up close, and picnic tables. Beautiful stop when in the area.
Lapp Valley Farm is great! They have a good selection of flavors of ice cream and also have great chocolate milk! I would definitely recommend if you are looking for great ice cream! I really like their coffee ice cream and their maple walnut!
Put this one at the top of your list for stops while you are in the area. The ice cream was some of the best that I have tasted, but the experience was topped with the welcoming staff and the fresh country air. Relax on the spacious wraparound porch as you indulge in conversation and your favorite dessert.
Strong cravings for ice cream took me to the farm on a heat wave day. We decided to drive through and get some ice cream, and it was a fantastic choice. I tried the butter pecan and maple walnut flavors in a waffle cone—both were superb, creamy, and had the perfect amount of sweetness. The waffle cone was also excellent.
My kid ordered her forever favorite, strawberry, which was surprisingly very good. We'll definitely visit again to enjoy more time around the farm and check out their store for cheese and milk. Highly recommended!
The ice cream is soo good. Peanut butter swirl and cookie n cream. You can really taste the fresh dairy. It’s fun to walk down to the cows and watch them devour their cud or whatever the heck they eat.
The ice cream is really delicious! Many people drive here specifically to buy it. You can use the drive-through or park and enjoy your ice cream on the porch in front of the store. They also sell eggs and cheese!
The home made ice cream served here is some of the best we have eaten. Eating it with their homemade waffle cones makes it complete. The serving size is generous. The animals around the farm and clean barns make it a great place for young kids.

I made another pilgrimage to Lapp Valley Farm and wanted to add more pictures to entice you further. Like I say below, still the best ice cream you will ever taste. But you also get magnificent views and a nice variety of farm animals ( calves - love to be pet, cats of all ages, and horses). Your little ones will fall in love with the whole experience. If you never been, make the trip! Free parking and touring the farm is generously free.

The best ice cream you will ever taste - fresh cream and ingredients. Unlike processed ice cream, it never loses flavor. Every bite is just as delicious as the one before it. Not to mention, you get the added pleasure of the views and even petting the calves!
( They also have farm fresh butter, cheese and eggs for sale.)
Absolutely the best hand made ice cream and waffle cones I've ever had! There's a drive through around the side and a playground for paying customers. The people who work there are kind and friendly. There's plenty of room to sit outside and enjoy your delicious dessert.
It's a great experience! We got to meet the cows who provided the milk for our ice cream!
What a fun place! There are cows eating silage right there, and one can pet them. There are sweet calves that may also be cuddled and pet. There is a children's play area right there, as well as indoor and outdoor tables for enjoying the delicious ice cream. The drive there may be the best part. It's always amazing driving through New Holland's beautifully manicured farms with a kaleidoscope of green farm fields.
Delicious Ice Cream!! Scenery is beautiful!! You can walk around and visit the cows. They have a lot of nice seating around to enjoy your ice cream. Freshly made right in front of you waffle cones. Prices were extremely reasonable. Ice cream is all home made. They even have a drive thru, (cars & horse&buggies) which was very busy when we went. If your in the area it's a must visit!
Great tasting flavorful ice cream. I had one scoop of maple walnut in a waffle cone. Where is the picture of that? Well is looked so delicious I ate it before I even thought to snap a picture! Was thinking to go back and get another one..... But I opted not to. If you are in the area you need to stop by and sample the ice cream your self. You'll be glad you did!
Awesome little ice cream place off the main roads! It was really neat to see the cows at all different life stages. The homemade ice cream was great. I got the cookies and cream in a freshly made waffle cone and my niece got the chocolate in a regular cone. When you walk into the shop it smells like heaven. They also sell farm fresh milk, ice cream cake and ice cream to take home for later. I see us visiting Lapp Valley a lot this summer!!
