The staff was outstanding. The two gentlemen were friendly and helpful. The site was tidy for the work that goes on there. Only downside were the potholes, but it is early in the season to fix them and probably really hard to get them fixed so early after this winter and the heavy truck traffic. Overall, I recommend Ferrous Processing.
Very organized system. Never too long of a wait. Best prices in town especially on insulated wire..I try to take my wire here and here only. Their prices are so good here that I take everything here there's nothing I won't take on here. The workers are very knowledgeable and professional. They are very timely and expect the same so don't show up at 5 till 4 and think you are going to get in. Should get there no later than 3:30 if you have a full load. I really like this yard it's probably my favorite. I have been to every scrap yard in Stark county. Ferrous is top notch. Thanks for all you do guys !!!!!!!
Mostly easy process getting started. Everyone walked us through the process as we went along and showed us where to drop off our scrap. Second time around we were told we had to check in after just finishing checking in and going to weigh up prior to dumping our scrap load. They are very communicative, however, as to what they don't accept (most of it is govt property, business property or commonly stolen car parts).
I just started scraping and they guys here are friendly and will help give you the best prices they can I have tried another scrap yard and got ripped off so this will be the only scrap yard I go to
Was there today to scrap some clean Cooper wire & I have done more than once So they say now I need a electrician license to sell even when I gave them my ID I'll just take my business somewhere else
We take our scrap there a couple/few times a week and have been for approx. two years straight. They take all kinds of metals which is very convenient, as well as their location. However, they dock you 4 lbs on each type you bring in, price per pound varying. It doesn't seem or sound like a whole lot but it sure adds up. For instance, today's haul should have paid out $67.84 with compensation for their plastic totes. They paid out to us an even $40.00.
Their staff is extremely nice and helpful. I have never had any issues with them staying on task and getting everyone through the line as quick and efficiently as possible all things considered. Probably the main reason we continue to go there despite the obvious disregard for how much work and man hours folks actually put into scrapping by literally taking half our total pay out for "tare weight". We all know that companies don't invest in heavy machinery and have 20+ employees if it is not an already lucrative business simply paying out at average or slightly below national rates for buying up scrap metals.
TO SUM IT UP THEY NEED TO PAY THEIR CUSTOMERS THE ACTUAL RATE AT WHICH THEY SAY EACH METAL IS PAYING OUT AND AT THE ACTUAL WEIGHT THEY BRING IN. GETTING PAID 50% - 60 OF MY HAUL JUST DON'T CUT IT. IF IT WASN'T FOR THEIR STAFF I'M PRETTY SURE THEY'D BE THE LAST PLACE MOST OF WOULD TURN THEIR RECYCLABLES INTO.
Best place I've ever gone to, they are friendly and honest. They gave me good prices on my copper and brass and even gave me a helpful tip that would yield more money for my brass. This is hands down the best place to go to in canton.
Have shipped hundreds of thousands of pounds of non ferrous to this company and nothing but a great experience with every transaction. Outstanding prices, outstanding customer service, just a great all around experience.
Truck drivers. Easy to reach there from I-77 to US-62, take exit to OH-43 South, proceed all the way down to the 12th St, try to make as wide as possible there! Then eastbound on 12th to roundabout and take Maple St. There are narrow street and high RR tracks on Maple. Use the second driveway to the company and pull up to the scales. Then check in the office and drive to the backyard. And start to go crazy off mud, pits and holes, garbage and piles of scrap. Absolutely no space for maneuvering! 53’ driver if only you could avoid this loads!
Awesome place! Best prices, workers always help you and are super friendly and fun to be around..if you dont know exactly what you have , they will be up front and honest instead of trying to rip u off like other scrap yards..highly recommended !
