What a life saver, I was stranded on 76 a driver from kales arrived within 20 minutes had my car loaded and on way to repair shop, very professional price was more than fair, thank you so much
I have used other local towing services in the past as I am a life long resident, kales towing really saved the day, I let dispatch know I had my dogs in the car and I was broke down in a bad spot, not only did the driver get to me within 30 minutes after he dropped the car off to be fixed, he gave me and my dogs a ride to the house I am very grateful and a life long customer, thank you kales
Got charged $418 to get a car out of the ditch last February, took 15 min. meanwhile after the fact another towing company said they would've done it for $150, absolutely insane. But they got it out without damaging the car I gotta say that.
Had a flat called kales never used them before they were on site within 20 minutes. Rodger was very professional and had it loaded up in 15 minutes great people and service will definitely be my go to from here on out.
Our tow guy Rodger was brilliant. Very professional and thoughtful. He not only helped us get home but did it quickly and effectively showing wonderful customer service to both me and my brother.

Towed us home, 50 miles, when our car broke down on our way home from Christmas trip. Great service in a snow storm and less than ideal driving conditions.

I am the owner of the vehicle involved in this tow, and I want to correct several statements made by Kale’s Towing in response to my son’s review.
I knew this was a law-enforcement rotation tow. Rotation tows are required to be reasonable. In a recent civil case involving Kale’s Towing (not my case), a Portage County court found the company’s charges were NOT reasonable and ordered a refund. That judgment is a matter of public record.
In my situation, I was charged a $200 credit-card fee that was not clearly disclosed beforehand. The mileage billed did not match the actual distance when checked against Google Maps, and I was charged for an extra day of storage that was not earned.
The claim that my truck was “in a lake” is false. The police report states that Unit #1 was backing up and went off the roadway into the woods. There is no mention of a lake anywhere in the official report.
When I raised concerns about the charges, I was threatened with legal action if I did not pay the bill. I paid under protest.
I also filed a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General. The invoice submitted to the AG did not match the original invoice I received, which raises serious concerns about accuracy and recordkeeping.
Anyone considering this company should review public court records and other publicly available filings involving Kale’s Towing and Roger Kale and decide for themselves. I believe transparency and accuracy matter, especially during stressful situations involving law enforcement tows.
★☆☆☆☆ – Predatory, dishonest, and repeatedly caught doing it.
I’m tired of companies pretending to be “honest” while overcharging people, and Kale’s Towing is one of the worst examples I’ve ever seen. My experience wasn’t an accident—it matches a clear pattern this business has shown before.
The charges on my tow were excessive, inflated, and didn’t match PUCO standards. Mileage was off, fees didn’t make sense, and a credit-card surcharge was added without disclosure. Nothing about this invoice was transparent or reasonable.
What really opened my eyes was what I found afterward. There is a public civil court case where Kale’s Towing was found guilty of overcharging customers. There is also a public workers’ compensation fraud case involving the owner, Roger Kale. These are public records anyone can verify, and they show a serious pattern of questionable behavior.
When I tried asking questions, I was told the Attorney General “sided with them.” I personally called the AG’s office, and that was false—they did NOT side with him. They simply said it’s a civil matter. That alone tells you something about how this company operates.
In my opinion, this company takes advantage of people in stressful situations and believes they can get away with it. Based on my experience and the public records, I strongly recommend avoiding Kale’s Towing and choosing a company with real integrity.
Do your research before trusting this business.
Best towing experience in the area! I was stranded on the highway 30 minutes from home after blowing not one, but TWO tires. My roadside assistance assigned Kale’s to tow my car, and I couldn’t have been luckier. My driver was extremely quick, communicative, and personable. I’ve had to call 2 other towing companies in the past year, and neither experience even came close. Special thanks to my driver who went above and beyond to get me where I needed to go quick and giving great advice on how to take care of any damages to my new car! 10/10 experience.
Kales to the rescue.
Used our State Farm Road side assistance and waited for an hour and a half for the tow company they dispatched and was then notified that company canceled our pick up. They then contacted Kales who came in less than 20 minutes. The driver from Kales was great not only did he come quickly but he also was very efficient and friendly. Would definitely recommend this company.
Extremely rude and combative! Be prepared to defend yourself if you come across any issues as they carry an extremely “We are always right and you are wrong” mentality. Surprised they have been doing this for so long!
After an accident left my car undrivable I was hours from home with my dog in an unfamiliar area. The driver from Kale's who picked me and my car up after the accident was kind and calm. He provided information about local hotels/car rental services and helped me unpack my belongings from the car in a safe location to wait for family to pick me up. Following that, Roger has been incredibly helpful in navigating insurance follow-up, recommending a local body shop, and getting my vehicle there for repair. Coordinating all of this from hours away would have been a much more daunting process had I not had his help. I am so grateful to him and the staff at Kale's and HIGHLY recommend them to anyone needing towing services.
A big thank you to Roger for assisting us in a difficult situation and towing our vehicle from the Ravenna Arsenal. He was prompt, polite, and courteous, and went above and beyond to help us out. Truly appreciated!
Edit: no one else wanted this call & Brandon came to the rescue when my Ford had lost its serpentine belt on Parkman road in Warren, he was very nice and super easy to work with! I appreciate him coming all the way out and taking my car to Youngstown! He was very polite, updated me every chance he had and was absolutely professional about the whole thing! It's taken me about a week to write this review but I'm so thankful for his helpafter no one else wanted the call, he took it and went above and beyond!!
These guys really saved my bacon. I was on my way to work at 5:30 in the morning when my tire exploded on the highway. They came out immediately and got me where I needed to go to get it fixed. Branden was such a nice gentleman, too. I appreciate them so much!
I have had to use Kales twice in 2 weeks on 2 separate vehicles. Both times the driver was very prompt, (early even) polite, and no nonsense. Gets your vehicle where it needs to go quickly. Will definitely be using them when needed. Thanks Kales.
Rodger our driver was unbelievably fast and helpful, was gentle with the car and very polite. I wouldn't call anyone else!! we would have been sitting for hours with any other tow company. Worth the price!
They were very friendly when I called needing gas. He said someone could be out in 30 minutes. He did not tell me what the charge would be or that there would be one. The man gets there again very friendly. He offers to follow me to the gas station. I fill up my tank and get ready to leave. He says card or cash. I said how much. He said $125. I told him I didn't have that. And I wasn't told it'd be that much or I wouldnt have had them come. He asks me to pull over to a spot in the parking lot and blocks me in. And calls his boss. His boss later called back and told him I could pay the $125 or they'd call the sheriff and have my car impounded. So unless you have and extra 125 laying around don't call them for gas. But they were friendly and thankful they came just a frustrating situation.
Actually looked back on my card they charged me 146 guessing it's cause they had to wait for payment
My car broke down in Canton, after hours of dealing with incompetent foreigners from my car insurance company, I finally was provided with a towing service provider. Thankfully, Kale's Towing LLC was willing to come out all the way to Canton well after dark. Nice equipment, very personable and friendly people who were more than willing to go out of their way to help people. They also promptly provided a picture and text once they dropped off the vehicle at my mechanic's garage. Definitely would recommend this company. If I need a towing service again I will just call them directly and have the insurance reimburse me later. Overall, great service would recommend.
I wish I could remember his name, but the guy who helped my daughter and I after our car was rolled over on I-76 on October 15, 2018 around 10:45 AM was fantastic. He was friendly and professional and was very easy to work with during a very scary time. Great job!!!!
