Had another great experience at the Ohio Electronic Drop Off. They are always very polite and quick to recycle and pay for any of my aluminum cans and steel, thank you!

I went there with 4 of the strutts and coil spring assembly and bake rotor. The total weight was 152 lbs but the staff only priced it for 100 lbs. She mentioned the cart is 50 lbs. I don't believe the cart (Tare) was that heavy, it was one of lightest cart like one from T.J. Maxx. One of tht staff was so unprofeessional on phone call, she barely spoke but had yelling mocking sound

Great and simple experience. You take, you weigh and they give you monies. Awesome. If it were only tgat simple in life. But what the hell...at least Columbus Metal is giving us hope for that simplicity. Kudos Ladies.

C.M.R. (formerly Ohio Drop Off) has given me consistent and fair pricing for any yard in the multi-county area. This place is awesome! As an electrician's assistant, being able to turn in copper here for top-dollar is vital! The ladies are always so kind, not to mention strong, they sling that metal around! Pricing is the best I've found in the area, just be sure to properly sort your material before hand. Educate yourself and don't show up at closing time with mixed loads, that puts them in a tough position, as well. Would recommend to anybody! Five stars and can't wait to do business again!

I didn't expect the people to be so nice lol the woman that helped me was just so sweet and made everything easy to do/understand and never got annoyed by my 4 or 5 questions. I didn't get as much as I thought I was going to... But that COMPLETELY on me as I didn't have any way of knowing and could only guess lol good place, easy to get to, and they take more things than I could have ever imagined. I also love that they have everything written on posters and boards about everything from prices to what/how to do stuff. I saw a couple people on these reviews talk about the parking lot being all messy and bad for the tires... What did you expect it's really not THAT bad. Just be kind of mindful about where you are driving and you'll be fine.

Super fast service and an absolutely wonderful experience. Polite and courteous too.

Very friendly and helpful employees. However the scrap steel drop off area is kind of tight for unloading. You need to be mindful not to drive over any small debris, just as you would most any other scrap facility. It was worth the extra drive for me today.

Took my wire in which the wire had a blue jacket. The wire was 16/2. Instead of doing there job the called it cat5 and took it. I get we all need to make money but that is theft. Never will I send anybody back here. Plus the wanted to argue about after I did the same thing with the same kind of wire a month ago.

They instruct to unload all of the stuff but it was never explained what to separate and what the price was for any of the product until AFTER it was unloaded. And then they down grade the metal and give the least amount possible. Very shady. I should have gone to Simms in Delaware where they don’t scam you. Last summer we had taken a few pieces of the same product and got double the price per pound. Shame on us for trusting CRM to be honest and PRICE YOUR STUFF BEFORE YOU UNLOAD IT, and expect us to know how they price stuff and why they do it. Live and learn. They have you over the barrel. Unload it all and then the price it. Horrible!! And the screen you sign for the payment to you, on says sign here, it doesn’t have ANY DESCRIPTION OF HOW MUCH YOU WILL GET OR HOW THEY DOWN GRADED IT. Beware! Keith McGeorge

I needed to responsibly get rid of an older LCD television and an older dead Windows 10 computer. This facility is staffed by very nice, friendly faces but be careful in the parking lot with your vehicle's tires, there was a lot of small pieces of debris including metal and broken glass. You carry your items inside yourself, there are also hand carts available to use for transport from your vehicle. There is a small charge per pound for recycling, but they pay a small amount as well for your old computers, so I ended up breaking even, not having to pay nor getting any money back which I was very happy about. If you have questions about what they will recycle or pay you for, just call first and ask, they are very helpful over the phone in my experience.

I called ahead of time to make sure I wouldn't be wasting my time by loading up my car and taking it down to this place. They said that would be fine but neglected to mention they were going to close early and turn me away at the door!

Such an easy process and the people here are so DAMN NICE. Its so easy, pull in, grab a cart, load your stuff, head inside and wait for it to be weighed. The ladies helped identify aluminum VS carbon steel to weigh it out differently, seriously, it made me so happy to see their process, the professionalism and knowing this is being recycled and not sitting in a landfill somewhere. 13/10 will be back

Overall best pricing, customer friendly and open later than other yards. Later Saturday hours. Well staffed

My son always said good things about this place but I prob won't go back. Went in today to scrap some copper and I'm pretty sure they under weighed it and then ripped me off 20 bucks. When I called in to mention it they acted like I dropped it or something not to mention they knew who I was when I called which is weird. I guess I should of paid more attention when she counted. If your not a regular just count your money before you leave

Last one in today, sorry for being there late, but I appreciate staying to help me. Should have left my number with that cute girl around helping me at the register . Add me on facebook though, maybe we can go to that food truck you mentioned.

Great set up for unloading vehicle and customer service was upfront with efficient service. I was in and out in a timely manner. Thanks for your service and fast food employees could take notes on the demeanor of the cashier/staff. Thanks

Great prices that are competitive and are usually the best in town and more accurate weighing of your recycleables! Those women bust their asses at the front end!

I rarely sell scrap metal; maybe once every year or two as it collects from projects around my property. Therefore, I'm not sure if someone more experienced would have had a different experience, which is why I rated it two stars instead of one. I had waited more than a year to take a small trailer of metal (iron and aluminum, separated) to a scrapyard to at least get a little money. Columbus Metal Recycling's Google listing says it closes at 4 p.m. Saturdays. After driving 40 minutes, I pulled into the parking lot at 3:42 p.m. After parking and getting out of the car to unload, a worker walked up and said it was 3:46 p.m. and they closed at 3:45 p.m. I had a relatively small amount of stuff and nicely asked, "I really can't get rid of this stuff today?" She said I needed to hurry – seemingly not realizing she had just wasted another minute of my time when I was supposed to "hurry." My son and I carried the more expensive aluminum in and had it weighed. It was worth only $5, at which point I was told they had a $10 minimum – but that they'd gladly take it if I just wanted to recycle it. I had only a few pieces of cheaper iron scrap remaining on the trailer, but they were fairly heavy. At this point, however, I just wanted to get rid of all the metal and be on my way, so they said we could just bring in the iron and leave it. My son and I grabbed a cart, went to our car, unloaded the few pieces and rolled the cart back into the building. Gladly, we then left. In short, if your Google listing says you close at 4 p.m., THEN CLOSE AT 4 P.M., not 3:45 p.m. And if you have a payout minimum, put that somewhere on your website. (But I'm glad that you're glad to take small amounts such as mine so you still can sell it for profit after I wasted gas and 90 minutes to bring it to you when I could have – and should have – gone somewhere else.)
