They usually have what I need which is great, but therir prices are not always the best. I would say it's better than auto zone or o Reilly's, but I would always prioritize summit racing for nice parts and Walmart for cheap parts. You'll. Always pay better at those places. However! Advanced it always the fastest and easiest solution when in a pinch.
Young man working the counter was very rude. Decided to take my business elsewhere because of his poor attitude. the young lady was very polite and did her best to help, but when he got involved, it went south very fast. He has a lack of knowledge for the brake sale on the window and even hit me with the line "Don't pay attention to what that says". Again, young lady was pleasant and did everything she could to help. Young man just doesn't want to work.
If you run a shop or are involved with sourcing parts for an automotive shop, do yourself a favor and give Jeremy a shot at advanced auto parts. He is top notch with communication on the phone very professional and will go above and beyond to get you the right parts at very competitive prices. If they don’t have the parts in house he even takes the extra effort and time to call dealers and manufacturers so you can complete the work for your customers. Has even gone as far as picking up parts from a dealership and delivering them to my shop for no extra cost. Jeremy is definitely worth doing business with.
Very disappointed to see they closed the store early on 05-19-24
They close at 8 and we arrived at 7:47 they had already locked the doors, turned out the lights and unplugged the open sign.
What a shame for a perfectly good business. Sorry to say I will be contacting corporate that is no way to operate.
Luckily ORileys did not close early and they are literally next door!
I got above and beyond, friendly assistance while I was in the store just a minute ago. AAP is my usual go-to, but I might go out of my way to visit this particular location in the future 👍
Don't purchase a marine battery from Advance Auto Parts because they are warranties for 90 days. I bought a battery last year used jetski 5 times now they tell me I need a new battery at $140. Will not buy from there again. No integrity
Honestly I would give half a star if I could I stopped in tonight to get wipers for my truck on way home realized my passenger one was ripped pretty bad and it started to rain a little so I walk in guy that works there James was out in front of counter playing on phone, told him I needed wiper blades for my truck as he’s looking it up he looks at me says “ You know I ain’t putting these on for you” I was so surprised I looked at him and asked why not? He replied “Cuz it’s raining and I ain’t going out there” I was so shocked he replied like that to me because I always go there and the guys have always helped me out one guy even replaced my wiper in a blizzard. I responded “ok well I guess I’ll take my business elsewhere” he said ok cool, as I walked out I asked his name he pointed to his name tag and said James he also stated not to bother because his manager would not care. Little did James know I was going to also pick up my oil, filter and air filter not to mention check out some new mats and window raingards, so your lost sale was easily remedied by your competitors down the street which was super offended for me about your employees behavior, and still in the rain walked outside and replaced my wipers . I usually buy all my wipers (which are not the cheap ones) about 3-4 times a year and all my vehicles maintenance stuff from here but no longer will I do that. I will happily go down the street to the competition and make my purchases there. I guess what they say about good help us hard to find because you really hit the bottom of the barrel with James from the Mentor Ave Painesville location.

Needed a headlight bulb. Looked on YouTube, easy install. Thought I'd still be able to get some help to make sure I was doing it correctly. I was swiftly and rudely informed that they don't do that by Kirk, the only one in the store. I've been there before regarding my daughter's car, you know, checking fluids before she went off to college and the guys were really nice about helping me, that's why I went back. But not Kirk, not even thinking about trying to help an old lady out. Against the policy, he said 🤔. Well, ok....... so I went to autoz... and guess what? I didn't even have to lift a finger. Guess I know where I'll be going from now on. If I could give no stars, I would. Thank you, Kirk, for nothing
I had two Four wheeler batteries that I wanted to recycle and said they would take them. I would of gave 5 stars if they would of given me any type of money like they do for car batteries but all is good.😀
A total miss this time. Wrong parts, online order canceled even though the parts should be in stock. Wasted hours.
I've been going here for 10+years, but after this last fiasco, I'll reconsider.
Nothing wrong except for the fact that they're only open until 8:00 but on their website says 9:00 and it proceeds to let you purchase and spend money stating that you can pick up within 30 minutes. I had ordered at 8:00 left to go to the store and it was closed I really needed those parts for my project just think it was wrong that they let me spend the money thinking that I can come pick it up
Take the luck of the draw for who helps you some know more than others.
Personally I've had better luck at O'Reilly's just down the street. They seem to be much friendlier and eager to help
The workers know about cars and help with useful advise. The first thing other auto parts stores nearby tell me when I ask a mechanical question... "I don't know anything about cars, I just sell car parts."
The manager is rude would not honor a lifetime warranty unless I bought something acted like he knew more then my mechanic!!! Had to call corporate they honored my warranty no problem!!! Last time I shop at this location ended up at chardon and the service was wonderful!!!!!
