First time I ever visited. I enjoyed watching the birds eat. What a great deal only $2.50. Had a lot to offer!

Beautiful snowy day hiking the virgin snowfall across all of the trails; only the local wildlife had paw prints on the ground. Peaceful and so serene, a very scenic trail system. A great place for families with various lengths of trails and an interesting outside rehab center. Minimal fee, and it allows you also in the Center Building as well.. Knowledgeable and helpful staff.

This is a must see with kids. The center has lots of ambassador animals to view, bird watching areas inside, a nature playground outside, and hiking. Will be going back!

This was a wonderful place to visit with our toddler. They have many educational opportunities, beautiful trails, and neat interactive stations for littles. We will definitely be back!

I found an injured squirrel and Brukner offered to take it in. Turned out the squirrel had a fractured leg and bad abrasions from being struck by a car. After about 5 weeks I got a call from them saying the squirrel had recovered and was ready to let back into the wild. I stated I wanted to release it where I found it. They even supplied a wooden home for it to use that I mounted to a tree. The squirrel instantly took back to nature. The staff there were professional and very kind. I would urge everyone to donate to this non-profit organization.

Very nice staff & cool exhibits with wildlife! Highly recommend going when the weather is nice to walk the trails and see the nature. $2.50 feet is worth it

Beautiful natural area. Easy paths for walking. Could spend all day in the observation rooms. So quiet and peaceful watching the forest creatures in their element.

Rehabilitation center helped us with a baby squirrel that I found on the black top next to my front right wheel. She was very nice and professional.

9/8/25 I called and asked for assistance in saving some white tailed rabbits that were roughly about 2-3 days old. They refused do to it being hard to keep them alive and wanted to see if mom would come back. I have dogs that do kill rabbits every time they find them in my yard. I expressed that to them and the woman, Deb, got a little rude and said “just bc our dogs are messing with them doesn’t mean we need to move them”. I expressed my dogs will kill them and they’re persistent on getting to their nest. She asked for a picture, unfortunately I lost her number. Wednesday morning/afternoon I called back again bc mom had not been back. I sent photos to Deb of said baby rabbits at the time there was 4, in the time of sending photos and waiting for a response one of my dogs had eaten one of them. I expressed that to her, she said just to keep the dogs away. Like girl I am trying. After looking at the photos she then said they look fine just to leave them alone. Needless to say an hour after that text she sent one was passed, now down to 2 and I found the other 2 passed this morning. They passed due to their neglect of helping when someone asks them for help. I understand rabbits are hard to save but you could’ve at least attempted rather than turning them away bc you didn’t want to try.

$2.50 per person. Worth every penny. Okay so when you go inside there is an absolutely incredible bird watching room upstairs... among other attractions.. and downstairs you can touch a turtle... well you can look at many different animals. The trails are not stroller friendly.. even if you have an off road stroller of sorts. There are different trails and if you're looking for a good workout go down buckeye trails or should I say UP! Anywhere you go here you will be immersed in wonder as this preserve is well maintained and a gem of Miami Co. Picnic area <3 Gift shop (Buy an owl t*rd to sift thru for bones) LOL seriously EV Vehicle charging station as well.

This is one of my favorite sanctuaries to visit. It has a lot of hiking trails that wind around little creeks and ponds through the tall beautiful trees. Not to mention the wildlife that you get to visit in their cages; owls, vultures, crows, a bobcat, coyote and let's not forget the eagles. It also has a pond full of turtles, beautiful orange fish and let's not forget the croaking frogs that are everywhere around the pond. There are also seating available for taking breaks throughout the trails. Brukners is definitely a sanctuary for relaxing and taking in all the beautiful surroundings. The only reason I'm giving a 4 ⭐ is the fact that there are no restrooms and/or port-a-johns. So make sure to tinkle before coming ?

Its been a long time since I've been here! Went on a Monday around 5:30 pm. No crowd at all! There were several trails to choose from displayed on a map posted in clear view. The trails are marked as well. There were animals to view along the trail which included birds, a coyote, etc. No dogs allowed which is understandable. The trails could probably get muddy after a rain and are kinda narrow. The website says they are open until 4pm but this is for the visitor building. Trails are open through sunset. This was a great experience!

Okay for $2.50 this place does have a lot of amazing things to see I just have two complaints. This place is really inaccessible. I have a one year old and I thought it would be nice to take her on a walk on the trails I put her in her stroller and it went well for a while. The trail is maintained fairly well but it was such a pain to get through. The stroller was tipping over because it’s uneven in some parts or getting stuck on roots and rocks which was fine it’s a trail I mean ??♀️ but then we got to the part in the pictures. How is anyone suppose to get through here with a kid under 3? You’d have to carry them. I just think there should be a warning on their site that it is not stroller friendly. Even the building isn’t. You can see maybe six exhibits on the first floor but to get to the other floors you have to go up or down stairs. So if you are planning on bringing your kiddo who needs a stroller don’t. It’s such a pain. I had to pick up her stroller multiple times to get through the trail and then put it away all together to go in to the nature center.

Brukner Nature Center was GREAT! There's so many trails here. Definately a good place for excercise. Some of the trails are really steep which makes for a good work-out on the legs. And let's not forget the animals that are here. AWESOME! Definately a great place for children. They would love the different types of birds housed here. I will be bringing my grandsons next time. The scenery is really gorgeous. It's peaceful, quiet and relaxing. They also have seating along the paths which are needed for those steep climbs ? I will be returning.

Love this place. We don't really visit the center, but we walk the trails. They have some animals by the center outside. A bald eagle that is so beautiful to see, and a set of American crows that actually say "American crows", and a few others.

Kids always enjoy visiting their furry friends. The Barred Owls are adorable! My favorite used to be the arctic fox but sadly that little fella has been gone. There is a new red fox that is cute too. Trails to enjoy for the family. Great place if you love the outdoors. Trails and everything outdoors is free. Inside has a small fee.

We loved this place! They have a log cabin house that you can go in and explore, built in 1804, great place for the kids to learn how they lived in the old days, a very nice path that leads to the animals, coyote, fox, hawks, bald eagle, and others, which you can see close up. Very nice paths to the forest, nice place to go.

Loved this place. The staff were amazing and so much to see. Really amazing with wild animals. Took a bat there and they had no problem at all taking it and taking care of him.

The very best Nature Center I have ever visited. The trails are beautiful with a few ponds that are brimming with life. Great for the family or for a reflective alone time walk. The animals there are well cared for, you know the folks here really do care. Peeps class is the best for young ones too.

Perfect trails for beginners and experienced hikers right here in Miami County, Ohio. Brukner is a place to take time out of your busy day and be in nature. Their interpretive center is a great compliment to their outdoor grounds. A great place for families with children of any age.

Awesome place to bring your family. There are hiking trails, animals, spider web, picnic tables and more! Friendly staffs. Preschool Peep program is wonderful.

The place is great. Not enough animals to call it a zoo, lots of trails going through dense trees, beside and over stream. Very relaxing place. Also very educational for children.
