I've been coming to these great guys for over 20 years. As a single mom that relies on having a safe vehicle these fellas have always ensured that my Ford trucks were maintained well. They never over sell me on service work and are always honest and fair on what I need done and pricing. They also do what they can to handle repairs on the same day so I am not without a car for long. Hands down the best hidden gem in Apex.
I can’t recommend these shop enough. I have a 1965 Chevelle and was having some issues. They got me in quick called me with the diagnostic and assured me they would keep the car in doors overnight. When I picked it up they took the time to answer all my questions. Excellent people and service!
My 8 years old truck's tie rod gone bad. They fixed in couple of hours. My car is running like new again. They are long time experienced mechanics and friendly. I will bring all my cars from now on. I know it's not easy to find a good honest mechanics.

Highly recommend Southern Wake Automotive. I have taken several vehicles there now. They do great work at a fair price. Just got picked up my vehicle again today, and very satisfied. Oh and they can also do tires.

These guys are wonderful! I went in thinking I needed new brakes, just to be told it was just my rotors. Problem fixed! Very reasonable rates! Done in less than 2 hours!

I've had my vehicles serviced at Southern Wake Automotive since at least 2010. These guys are the best. Their work is always top-notch, they're honest, professional, and very competitively priced. They don't nickel and dime you to death, they tell you what's wrong and what is needed to fix things, and get it done quickly. I highly recommend them.
Great place, Rod and Joe are always honest and fair. I feel confident in the repairs. Easy to get to, just past Sheetz Apex on Lufkin road and ten ten. They get great reviews on google and other posts too. Some say hard to find a good mechanic… now you know…

Actually I met the son Cory Walker of Southern Wake Automotive in Apex NC and in meeting him I could see his character how he carries himself at the bank where I just met him and knowing this I'll have no doubt that this is the place to go to if you need any automotive work of any kind when you're in the Apex NC or surrounding Raleigh Triangle area!

I used to go to a Mr. Tire but it felt like they were always after money, and then I stumbled across from this place. Now being a car enthusiast, car problems fascinate me but my knowledge is super limited for now. These guys seem to genuinely care about the problems and want to solve them. The prices are also super good, I'm only 18 and I don't make the most money. One time my check engine light came on my way to work, I called them up and they checked my codes for free and wanted to help. Turns out it was nothing, but it was very kind of them. Will always recommend this place!
My entire family regularly goes to see Rod and the rest of the guys at Southern Wake Automotive. The most honest and reliable mechanics out there. Being younger and a girl who knows nothing about cars, it can be easy to take advantage of, but they always make sure that my car is taken care of. I thought that I needed a new part on my car, but Rod told me I was all good and to take the part back to get my money back. They are just good guys. Wouldn't go anywhere else
