Huge issue with the entrance. You have 90% of the cars trying to get to the first recycling portion. There is a loop driveway to go all around the site that you can't get to say if you are dropping off motor oil or electronics. The entrance driveway is a single lane and you end up waiting to get through there even if you have a single piece of electronics, etc. Without the add of wider entrance way, you could spend 10 minutes just trying to get to where you want to go. Is a serious issue on Saturdays.

What a fantastic facility for Wake County residents! I was pleasantly surprised - everything is labeled clearly, the attendants were helpful if you had any questions, and there was no wait even with a lot of cars dropping off. Great experience all around.
Kind of out of the way, but you can take almost anything there and they will take it. Organized quite well. Fairly busy also. Huge mound of material buried.
Took old paint to waste site. Attendant promptly removed the cans from my SUV and directed me to the next area where I disposed of the cardboard containers. Both attendants were friendly and courteous.

The employees were really friendly and helpful (and wore masks!) One person wasn't able to answer a question regarding the 'textile' recycling, but other than that the place was great! I usually go to the one on yates mill pond rd, but was in the area and it was really a large facility. I'd definitely recommend coming here!
Most of the recycling can be done here with free of charge. Electronics, furniture, tires, bulbs, batteries, oil, and may more. The staff here will guide you and there are sign boards for respective sections.
