everybody who works here, maybe has three teeth in their mouth, I rented a U-Haul So I could dump some things in my personal garage, they told me that I can’t dump because I have a U-Haul, which is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard in my entire life because I had to make multiple trips in my sedan just to dump the same trash

Convenient and well organized. Take all kinds of household waste including paint. motor oil, construction debris, and furniture. Easy in and out.

This was my first time visiting this convenience center and I had a great experience thanks to Spencer. He greeted me with a smile and immediately made me feel welcomed. It can be hard for me to get around at times because I’m smaller, lifting heavy items is difficult. Spencer went out of his way to help me lift everything and showed me exactly where it needed to go. He was patient, kind, and attentive he emphasized that everyone’s safety was his top priority. He also helped people sort items correctly and communicated everything clearly. His help truly made a big difference. I will definitely be coming back!

I am engaged with upgrades in my house. This project has resulted in several visits to Wake County Convenience Center #2. It is my utmost gratitude for the diligence Mr. Spencer Marin has demonstrated to me and other county residents while performing his function at this site. Number of times I have witnessed Spencer’s ability to multi-task by assisting several other site stations concurrently with the construction debris stations. Mr. Marin is an exceptional skilled and kind asset to the county. Thank you Spencer!!!!

Terrible customer service, espically in the paint disposal department, everytime I have gone there, they have gotten increasingly more and more lazy, and the one guy had so much attitude over doing the bare minimum. This is unexpectable for any place of business, even for a dump.

It’s a nice place. I had to ask 3 staff for help. One of them was very rude and disrespectful. Other 2 were good. If you don’t need help, you should be ok.

Heads up that electronics recycling and hazardous waste close at 4:00. Wish that had been mentioned on the website. All that's open until 7:00 p.m. Is landfill and regular recycling

They take a ton of different stuff! The employees are very knowledgeable and friendly. Just remember to stay in your car!

First guy (short older black guy) was extremely rude. Second guy (Hispanic guy with longer hair) was very helpful and directed me to the right place. I came on a Sunday afternoon if that helps distinguish who was who.

This place is incredible. That staff are funny and extremely organized. I have been here so many times a few of the dudes know me by name. I wish I had a punch card for all the times I have visited the various stations. This place is my home away from home, scratches my OCD purge itch, and is so satisfying.

I’ve had to utilize a handful of times over the course of a month & needed to take a moment to praise one of their employees - Buddy!! Not only is he down right welcoming and friendly but quick to serve and make the process smooth and seamless. Despite the heat or rain, Buddy has the best attitude and leaves me impressed with his work ethic. Thank you Buddy for always helping me!

I see people keep saying that the staff are nice. I would say they are half right, but the other half are total jerks. They will not hesitate to yell at somebody that does not know the letter of every rule. I mean yell and curse.

Great experience with the staff. They are friendly and helpful! I had to bring a couch by myself and I didn’t even need to ask for help. They just made it happen!

Hazardous and electronics recycling is only open Monday through Saturday. Hopefully this saves someone a trip. Usually pretty easy in and out and no charge for electronics like other facilities.

Rude staff! I've been at this facility a number of times and on each visit, I've encountered very rude staff. You get the feel that they do not want to be there! As someone mentioned before, "Your tax dollars at work!"

We went to dump some household garbages yesterday. The facility is clean and well organized. The staff is friendly. We appreciate to have this option to dump garbages, and it is open every day.

Great location. They are open every day. Except Holidays. Very clean. They also accept tires

Every time I come here, I'm like 'why can't other government places be like this?' This place is organized very well with good signs. It's a oneway path to hit all material area, so if you miss one, you will have to circle around once more. One thing I don't get though is why can't we unload stuff ourselves in the paint area? I had multiple materials and paints were deep inside and they told me I should dump most of these other stuff first so that they can easily access the paints themselves. I could have gone out and get the paints and hand them over at the first time, but they made me go dump other stuff first and come back so that they can get them. Other than this, the place is well and efficiently designed. The people at multi-material area were super kind.

Besides a select few who are really great, the employees always have a negative attitude and are beyond rude. I have been a resident here my entire life, 27 years, and yet everytime I come to this facility I have to fill out paper work and am harrased/interrogated to prove I am a wake county resident. Tax dollars hard at work here. Not my fault that neither the town, this facility, nor the county, has the proper infrastructure necessary to sustain the rapid population growth. There are piles of garbage visible from 540 and the entire town reeks of trash for God sake. Local government should be ashamed of themselves.

This facility is my happy place! It's so very well organized that the wait is either non-existent or short. The staff have to manage a huge influx of people but are always capable and kind. I'm thankful to have access to a facility like this one!

This is a terrific facility with very helpful staff. It's great to have the easy availability to drive up and drop off so many materials. The staff are out there regardless of weather and will clarify if I'm unsure which bin is appropriate for an item. With a quick online search about what is accepted, we can recycle many, many materials and dispose of the many toxic substances we use in our homes, yards, and cars to keep them out of the landfill. Thanks Wake County.

I want to recognize Joseph Fitzpatrick (Joe) in the office as well as Charles, Gurvis, Tim and Dennis at the on-site location in Apex, NC for all their help, kindness, patience and professionalism. I was moving and desperately needed to recycle items and dispose a lot of trash. I had a full truck load. GOD is ALWAYS on time. I received the Trash Pass via email from Joe and when I arrived at the site in Apex, NC with the truck load I knew I’d be there for a few hours. Charles saw my challenge and offered to help me. It literally brought me to tears of joy and gratitude. All I could say was “Thank You Charles and Praise God”. I believe in Angels and all of these gentlemen were Angels sent to help me. I’ll always remember them and I’m praying they’ll receive 10-fold the blessings they’ve been to me & more. I give “10” Stars! Sincerely, Tawn Ellerbe

The ability to recycle many hazardous items rather than landfill them had been a great perk of this facility. They revamped the space a few years ago and it is now so nice and family friendly. We now keep a "landfill bin" in the garage, for our 1-2 annual visits. My Scout Troop now hands us their empty propane bottles, and neighbors give us used motor oil and electrics, and it all gets a reuse.

Pay attention to the signs. Be aware of operation hours. You never know how busy they will be. Be aware of two directions in, one way out. No stop lights to help. Traffic pretty busy on 55. Getting out may take some time. Well laid out. Has convenience center area, household waste section area, and landfill (mostly large trucks). For haz waste, have things sorted. Batteries, chemicals, paint, light bulbs, etc. You do not get out of your vehicle. Read the web site, especially before first visit. There are many signs and excellent line of sight so you can see a good distance, and not difficult to drive back around if you need to.

The Wake county convenience centers (Morrisville Aviation pkwy & Holly Springs Old Smithfield Rd) are services/facilities that I appreciate to dispose of my home garbage/electronics/paints/chemicals. Truly appreciate them being open during this Covid-19 times. The new center in Holly Springs is very well done since upgraded last year some time. Thank you.

Really easy process, free to take paper and boxes in a single car. Nice staff and super clean.

Nicely expanded center but the main entrance is a one lane road which gets blocked by vehicles entering the first building. Those trying to reach the other buildings have to sit in the line waiting. Line could reach out to the highway with waits lasting over 1/2 hr. Not safe and very poor thought out road design. Just glad that the center has expanded days and hours so try to avoid the peak time like Saturday morning.

It's a nice service provided by the county, never had access to anything like this in PA. The staff is friendly and the grounds are clean and well organized.
