Something is usually on sale that I need, I go in there and sometimes I don't find anything. It's the luck of what you might find.

Need I say more about Js Savage. Things do change day by day but if you get in there and get that 15 lb box of bacon at a good price cannot beat it.

Bargain grocery prices has everyone flocking here. Lunch meat for a third the price of other stores. Fresh meats, $1 ice cream, $1 for any bread products and lots of canned and frozen items.

Great deals....old...run down...products vary week to week. Kindcofclike an outlet foodcpantry on a bigger scale.

Super low prices! It's a discount/bargain grocery store so their inventory changes almost daily & they probably wont have everything you need. However. They'll have most of what you need & at a fraction of the price you'd pay at normal grocery store. J salvage has been around since I was a kid (36 now). The prices, environment, & friendly staff are amazing 👏

I want to know why J's doesn't save all the small and medium size boxes in that store breaking them down and instead giving them to the customers to use to carry items to the cars??????🤔🤔🤔🤔Since they don't offer anything to help carry their items to the cars???? Bring your own?????? I asked a employee about that and she looked at me like a deer in the headlights!!!!!😳😳 J's need to do that !!! Just saying!!!

J salvage started out as a little side store for snacks and tasty foods & discounts in spindale nc and grew by the locations it changed to. People come from states around north carolina for the value of great items that people are keeping up with. My favorite part about j salvage is when you go inside your gonna find many things that are useful for cheap. The services are usaly quick and they have boxes or bags usaly after you check out. I give j salvage 5 stars because this business has done so well in our area and the people are unique to the location. It's clean inside as well. Who ever says its dirty is causing issues and not being honest and grudging over nothing. These people's work hard to make sure everyone can come in and get out without issues no matter who you are. Ty staff and owners and local authorities for everything.

I grew up in this area and have been coming back for years! Every time I am back in town I load up they have so many options! We live in Virginia now and there is no other place like this around. Compared to Earthfare and Whole Foods the prices are incredible!

This is a place to get great prices on your groceries and other items. Some times the customs get to pushy, you just have to over look those sort of situations. I've gotten some great deals there.

Going there is always a joy. Yes it is a discounted store, but you can find some good deals. The cashier are really friendly and very efficient.

I totally dig shopping at J's Salvage! You can save a ton of cash on groceries and stuff for the house. They always have fresh meat, and the deals on veggies are awesome. You can fill up your cart way more than at those big stores. And don't forget your bags! You should totally give them a shot next time you need groceries.

I love this store, prices and the worker's. The rudeness of other shoppers are awful. Not everyone. Hold on to your buggy or it get missing another shoppers will take it. Wow

J's is great for variety and savings. It can be hit or miss sometimes, but part of the fun is hunting for those crazy good deals. We're fortunate to have a store like J's Salvage in our area. Bring your hand sanitizer, and expect there to be a couple of dirty and smelly people in there shopping with you, but it's totally worth it.

I like shopping at Jay's for the most part. Pretty good deals and of course these days and times he doesn't need that.

A lot of good deals, favorite place to stock up on ice cream. Keep an eye out for dates though, Some are pretty far gone. Most are still in date though.

What a gem! Love this place for snacks for the kids. $1 bread and tons of little finds. I do think they should fix up the registers a little.

Great discount food store ! Snacks , sauces , canned goods, spices . Really a great place to stock up . They do have meat deli area . I do wish there were more produce / veggies / or keto / healthier options . I know that's not always possible at these stores . But would be great if it could be taken into consideration:) . Also pics are just for fun ( silly things I like to find ) , and stop throwing the BREAD .. I recommend this store !

J'S has the best grocery discounts I have ever seen! J's aspires to be a discount store that just offers ever-changing rows of the best deals they could find that week. They make up for the limited variety with jaw-droppingly low prices. Everything-included green salads were only 50 cents each. Breads, even expensive name brands, were all a dollar. There were amazing deals on cheese too. You get the idea. I live too far away to come to J's often, but whenever I am anywhere near Forest City, I intend to come to J's and load up! Everything was no-frills, but all was clean, neat, and organized. Yea J's! Wish they had one near me. Definitely check it out.

A coworker told me about J's . He insisted that I would save money and get more bang for my buck. And J's did NOT disappoint. I walked out with a cart full of groceries for about $60.00 So go here if you want to shop like it's 15 years ago.

Part of me wants to give 5 stars, bc I am strange and love any new experiences that surprise me. This is a discount store. With the reduction in prices, you can't walk in and expect it to be as accommodating and tidy in appearance etc as a regular retail store. But I was surprised that it was very organized. It was clean, outdated and no fancy extras, again that's to be expected. What I found most interesting was that just after lunch 3 days a week they put up caution tape around the produce coolers and stock them with amazing deals, while the customers all start lining up, they crowding around. And the women, all of which were 50 plus, started sharing the rules and how it works. Picture black Friday the years where fights broke out. .. only small scale with older women. I suggested pairing up and each grab two of the items and it was a peaceful event, but these ladies are serious about their produce;! Prices: pears .25 cents, lettuce .50, onions 10 cents, watermelon seedless 1 99. All breas including Hawaiian bread, bagels and English muffins $1, can goods varies from 50 cent to 75 for the most part. Steaks and hams $1 lb up to like $6 or 8 on porterhouse. If you live within an hour of this place, even two it's worth coming at least once or twice a month and locals should come a couple times a week as they get new trucks daily. I got a gal of milk for 50 cents with the sell by date that day, but it was good for 3 days and even if you only drink one serving that's worth it! So I love love love this place. Rock bottom prices, interesting atmosphere. The employees however were not at all friendly. Some just didn't say much at all a couple were actually kinda rude to other customers. But they could have been just having a bad day. Plenty of parking. You bag yourself but there were lots of free boxes and bags

This is my favorite grocery store. They get trucks in 2-3 times per week. There are amazing deals throughout the store, and everything is organized nicely. Everything pictured cost me $38.

They have a good variety here and some excellent deals. But I recommend that you don't go if you're already stressed out or in a bad mood, because the aisles are too narrow and most of the folks shopping here are extremely rude and inconsiderate. They seem to think it's always YOUR obligation to get out of THEIR way, and will try to muscle you out of the way if you don't move. Nobody knows how to say "excuse me" or "pardon me" anymore; so much for the older generations having manners... So yeah, just be prepared to deal with that the entire time you're here. Otherwise, it's a great little store.

Great discount grocery. You can save 50% or more. The items are not always stocked, but vary on availability. $1 ice cream cartons, $2 buckets. $1 very fresh bread. Commercial packages of frozen, cooked and uncooked items both meat and vegetables. $2 flats of strawberries. 40# of chicken $10. You can find great bargains and enjoy most items at 25 to 50% off. Whole deli meat packages at 5 to 15 bucks. Two frozen fresh Boston butts $12.99. These are just a few of the items I have bought. A GREAT PLACE TO SAVE ON YOUR GROCERY BILL COMPARED TO OTHER BIG BOX AND CHAIN STORES. VERY SELDOM DO I SPEND OVER 50 BUCKS AND GET A HALF A BUGGY FULL AT AN AVERAGE SAVINGS OF 50-70%.

I came here with my service dog and they kicked me out only because I had her in my cart. They said if it is a service dog then I have to have her beside me on a leash. How am I supposed to hold a leash and push a cart at the same time? Not worth it! Not very nice, would not recommend! They might have good deals but they don’t have very good customer service! Discriminatory treatment.

🍴🍲 Great deals, especially on bread - sandwich bread, buns, rolls, chips, etc. & frozen foods. So much to choose from. Product selection changes often. When we shopped they had a large selection of many items, even pet food & charcoal. They basically had all things other Grocery Stores have, except for fresh produce and a fresh meat dept. They did have frozen hamburger though, both days we were there. The only thing I didn't really like was that they only have the great big shopping carts. It'd be nice if they had the smaller carts as an option. Be sure to take your own bags or boxes. Sometimes they have cardboard boxes you can have to tote your groceries in. My aunt & I have been a couple times to shop at J's. If we lived closer, I'm sure we'd shop there more often. The cashiers & the folks stocking the shelves are all amazing. They are all kind, caring and helpful. Very nice people. ♡◇♡◇♡

This chicken is always right in the verb of being over-seasoned. It’s enjoyable. It’s good. Service is a little slow, and prices are a little high. I will eat here again. Orders the sand which mild with a side of hot oil and fries and halepno poppers. Don’t order the fries—they are too salty, the poppers are fantastic. The sandwich is good

Really surprised at some of these reviews.. I shop here often and the staff are probably the rudest staff I’ve met. Never mean, just not friendly and can be rude. About a year ago, their prices were great! Honestly if I were to write a review last year it would be 5 stars. But in the last 6 months you have to be really careful. Their prices have gone really high depending on the item and often the price is above Walmart. That’s just weird to me when the items are almost expired and overstock items. I will keep trying to find the rare deals here but they no longer stick to their slogan: “you save every day!” It’s a shame.
