Noticed a flat tire as I was about to go to work. I was able to get it towed that morning, and even though they told me they were completed booked that day Lloyd Tire was able to look at it, remove a nail they’d found and patched the tire within a couple of hours so I had my car for the weekend. I trust their judgement and never have to second guess their advise. Thank you. ?

Brett and the crew at Lloyd's are always friendly, professional, and helpful. Work is done on schedule and at the price they've quoted me. And unlike other repair shops, I never feel they're trying to upsell or mislead me.

I’ve been taking both my high-mileage Fords—a Focus and F150–to Lloyd’s for the past year and am grateful there still exists in chapel hill an old school mechanic focused on preventative maintenance. Always feel like Brett and Chris give me the straight facts to help me make the best decisions, as if they were working on their own cars. And I appreciate their reasonable costs for diagnostic work—something I find other mechanics are charging more and more for. It’s a tough world out there but Lloyd’s strikes me as good people and I’m glad to support their business.

Lloyd Tire has been a stalwart of automotive repair for me. I had a 2004 Silverado that would not power up when the key turned. I replaced the battery, zap! No power. Lloyd fixed the issue during diagnosis. It was fast and affordable!

Excellent Staff, very responsive and services competitively priced. Everyone from a UNC student to retired couples picking up cars while waiting. Would recommend to anyone with a Ford.

They were able to fit me into their schedule on extremely short notice and I got my car back within the day. Super nice staff as well.

My daughter attends UNC Chapel Hill and needed new tires. There are a number of Chain tire/auto repair places in the immediate vicinity and one of the chain places tried to take advantage of her telling her she needed shocks, swaybar, etc. to the tune of $7,400. Lloyd Tire & Alignment put the tires on and aligned it and checked everything. Everything else was OK. She will continue to use Lloyd Tire & Alignment for oil changes, tire rotation (free) and anything else that comes up. Family owned honest people that do a good job.

I love these guys! They were very patient with me when I discussed my car’s issues and answered all of my questions. They are speedy and hard workers. Definitely my go-to mechanic in the Chapel Hill + Carrboro area.

Professional, affordable, quick service. Lloyd tire repaired a slow leak in our tire for under $40. In just a few hours, the nail was removed and tire repaired. Will definitely return when we need new tires!

Brett, Kris, and the tech patiently worked with me on replacing the brakes(calipers, rotors, and pads), front suspension (strut assemblies, control arms, camber plates, sway bar links, tie rods) while reusing what they safely could on a rusty chassis. They may not be the least expensive, but they are honest, courteous, and will fix it right.

I Love this place! The place I used to go before would take over an hour to do my oil change and I would have an appointment with them at the time. I dropped my car off with Lloyd Tire at 7am before I went to work. My car was ready at 8am, but my appointment wasn’t until 2pm. I picked my car up at lunch time ?.

I 100% recommend Lloyd if you are looking for an honest, kind, professional and hardworking team to repair your car. I went to Lloyds after Damaging the rim of my tire. They were able to call around to multiple dealerships and salvage yards to find me a used rim in perfect condition. Not only did this save me hundreds of dollars but they were able to locate the rim And fix my car in a very timely manner. 12/10 recommend .

Lloyd Tire went above and beyond in their service of our car. We dropped off the car with bolts missing from a home repair. They were unable to perform the alignment but got us back in quickly after we further repaired the car. They didn’t charge us for the first visit which was very kind. Their communication was awesome!

I had the smoothest auto shop experience here. Got a well-priced quote, scheduled a time, dropped my car off, they got it done quick, picked it up. Car drives great. I will definitely be returning for future service.

Lloyds Automotive took me under their wing on a rainy Tuesday when thinking I had an appointment for a car inspection that I really didn’t have evidently. The young man who was managing the front desk was very calm and went back to the Bay Area , came back and asked for my keys and registration and fit me in. Even I could tell they were extremely busy. They were so kind and I thought, wouldn’t it be nice if things like this happened a bit more often? Great customer service is seemingly rare these days, but does it have to be? I can’t say enough good things about Lloyd’s Automotive and am moving all my car business over to them. A little kindness goes a long way! PS my car passed inspection!

Called Tuesday and was able to bring in my car the next day at 3. Within 30 min they had checked the car and texted me the diagnosis, and the car was ready 30 minutes later! Very efficient, communicative, and quality service. None of the “drop your car off and it will be days before we even get a chance to look at it” bs. Would definitely go back!!

Lloyd's is the local goto for tires in chapel hill. They'll sell you tires at a fair price, get them mounted and balanced quickly. No muss, no fuss, not a million line items, not a bunch of upsell.. just "here's your keys" and a reasonable bill. A huge bonus is that they'll happily mount tires you bring to them, again, at a fair and affordable price. Don't get me wrong, they aren't going to mount a damaged tire that's unsafe, but they don't play around with pricing if you show up with your Amazon Prime specials :-) They do other work, but its limited so drop by and ask them first, if you're looking for some other maintenance. Also, the front office folks have been in town for years, so they do a pretty good job of recommending other specialty or generalist shops that fall outside their service set. Highly recommended.

Had a great experience with Lloyd Tire and Alignment. They got my tires quickly and were able to squeeze me in last minute before I needed to leave town for a road trip. They did a great job and had great communication!

I needed tires replaced and a full brake replacement job, got a quote from the shop that informed me of the issue and suspected it was a bit high. I’ve used Lloyd Tire’s Before, but tend to take my cars to the shop closest to my house despite my concerns about cost and quality, and decided I should go back to Lloyd’s to get a second estimate. Lloyd’s estimate was much better and the work was done quickly. I’m dropping off my other car there tomorrow.

After leaving another well known local mechanic due to price gouging and poor customer service we are so happy to land with Lloyd's! They told us that the recommended repair was not even necessary and the price was very reasonable! More importantly they dealt with us like "people" and were very easy to work with. We will be back!
