I have visited the Boatyard LKN several times to watch my grandchilds School of Rock performances. The staff is very laid back and accommodating. The food is good and the prices reasonable. I appreciate Boatyard LKN opening their doors early mornings on the weekend to let the kids have a venue to perform in. Thank You BoatYard LKN!
Jenna served us a fantastic meal. Great customer service and delicious food. We were lucky to to come at a less crowded time later in the afternoon off season.
A very beautiful place where you can relax, meet nice people, dance, chat with friends, and enjoy good music. It’s conveniently located and easy to get to. I highly recommend it.
If you’re looking for a place that somehow pulls off great food, great vibes, and great prices without making your wallet cry, this is it. The atmosphere is huge, open, and basically built for families with kids who have one volume setting: loud. There’s room for everyone, including that one uncle who always “needs his space.”
The food? Imagine the best days of The Galway Hooker and The Rudder got together, had a beautiful love child, and raised it to be a culinary champion. That’s what this place tastes like.
The facility is spotless and top-tier—so clean you’ll start judging your own house on the way out.
And then… nightlife.
Listen, when the sun goes down this place transforms. It’s like the venue drank an energy drink and decided it was time to dance. Whether you’re trying to vibe, mingle, or simply people-watch like it’s a sport, you’ll be entertained.
The staff? Friendly, helpful, and fast. The owner? Let’s just say if there was a Hall of Fame for restaurant owners, they’d already be inducted. Dude is beyond reproach.
Bottom line:
Come chill. Bring the kids. Bring your friends. Bring your neighbor’s cousin who never leaves the house. You’re gonna have a great time.

Came in while I was visiting friends in the area and had such a fulfilling experience. The live music was amazing and the new GM Steven really has you feeling like you belong there. Music, service, everything 10/10.
I went for the first time to Boatyard a few weeks ago. The staff at the door is so kind and welcoming. The place is pretty big and has an outdoor stage as well as inside stage for bands . The bartenders were all friendly and quick with service. Can’t wait to go back !

The outdoor space is absolutely gorgeous and spacious, easily accommodating over 1,000 people. It’s such a unique venue that blends great vibes, beautiful scenery, and top-quality entertainment. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Boatyard LKN is a must-visit spot for unforgettable nights of music and fun.
This is my first time going here and I had a great time! Entry fee for the group that was performing was $15. Drinks are a reasonable price for the amount that you’re getting. The DJ was great after the act ended. Lots of seating options. I would definitely come back here. The only thing that I could see presenting a problem is parking. From what I could tell parking seemed kind of limited and depending on how large the event is that’s happening, that could be a problem.
Both friend and I enjoyed the vibe but not the food last night. Wings were meh, pretzel was only half salted and fries barely had flavor. We both got sick with food poisoning from there. I’m curious if anyone else got sick last night at the Swift Nation concert?
I love Boatyard, the bands are always very good and prices are very affordable, the only downside is that people tend to get really drunk and bump into you frequently.
Great place for a good time. Live music was fantastic. Bar prices pretty costly Didn’t eat any food. Could use more seating as most people were standing. Would def go again.
Boatyard LKN is a great concert venue inside or out. It is surrounded by tall trees that give it great boundary definition. I saw a concert there last weekend and they cleverly use laser lights to make the trees their backdrop for the light show. The Acoustics are good and they have small bars set up all over the venue so that you're not standing in line and missing the show. The kitchen puts out good bar fare and the waiters are quick and plentiful. If you get a chance to see a show here don't hesitate, especially if the weather is good and it's going to be outside.
I love live music in most forms, and this is where I go to see artists like Laura Vinson! So many great cover bands and originals. Admission is always inexpensive, and some serious talent comes through these doors. The bar staff keeps me hooked up, and the door and floor staff are the best around. I enjoy the food combined with quality people watching for a night of music and friends.

I have not been to a bar this popping in over a decade! It was an impulsive decision but we heard the band Trae Pierce and the T-Stones and decided it was worth going in. We had a blast and it looked to be popular with all ages. Next time I am in the area I will be back for sure!
Really cool atmosphere and loved music bingo, but that’s about it. The kitchen was “down” so the only food option was pizza for $4 a slice which came out cold. Other tables were being served salad but we were told we couldn’t order salad. First time in my life I had to Uber Eats food from another restaurant to eat at a restaurant. Got conflicting information from the staff. Basically if you didn’t want beer or whatever was canned you couldn’t get a drink from the bar. I didn’t see one person get carded (which was just an observation, not complaining). Also, you have to order food and drinks from two different areas. Not sure if this is standard when the kitchen is running or not. Very disappointed.
Great location for live music, good food & drinks, and has a nice play area for kids to run off some energy. I wen with a friend Sunday just to catch up for a bit and ended up staying for 5 hours. The staff was super friendly & personable: excellent customer service!! The band they had playing outside (at 7pm) was exceptional and brought us some old school rhythm & blues with horns, the sax, flute, drums, keyboard and more. It was such an unexpected treat and had lots of us on the dance floor making memories. Can't wait to come back again! ??
We were at the BY for a School of Rock event. We were a group of 11 and everyone liked the drinks, fries, onion rings and hamburgers. The place is nice and clean, full of cool details like quotes from musicians on the walls, lamps made out of drums, references to bands and artists all over the place. They have a small park for kids and lots of outdoor and indoor sitting areas. The parking lot is big. The staff was friendly. Because the event took place on the outdoor stage, we were sitting under the sun for 2 hours, there is no good shade for an event in the middle of a hot day. The place should have allowed the bands to play in the indoor stage. We had to leave earlier due to the heat, but I'm sure an event at night must be awesome.
AWFUL from start to finish! Took my family and parents to BYE for Fathers day thinking it would be a nice, fun afternoon, boy was I wrong! To start we waiting about 15 minutes for anyway to finally acknowledge us, to our bad luck we got the "new server" to approach us . She knew nothing about the menu, specials, I mean NOTHING. We asked about the 15 dollar corona bucket and she knew nothing about it and went to ask the bar who said no they don't have that special. We asked for wings to start and wanted them all flats (said we were willing to pay extra and wanted them crispy), she said OK. The wings come out and they are almost all drumsticks and not crispy, but tough and tasted like they were purchased from Harris teeter deli and precooked or something, who knows! But they were awful. when they came out we said what happened to the all flats? She says she couldn't find a button in the computer for it....seriously??? How lazy. At this point we still don't have the drinks we ordered when we sat down, so had to eat hot wings with no beverage. when drinks finally came, I ordered a jalapeño mango margarita that came in a plastic cup and tasted like mango juice, nothing to it and mostly ice for $9! My husband remembered that we did get an email with the corona special on it so I grabbed another waitress because our had disappeared for a good 20 minutes. I showed the email that did in fact state the drink special, she knew noting about it either but said the communication between the staff, management and bar is awful and no one ever knows what's going on. Our waitress finally returned and I showed her the email and she put the special in for us. now we ordered burgers, when they came out they were supposed to be medium and medium rare both of which were totally well done and cheap frozen BUBBA BURGERS!! I felt like we were eating swill, on top of it the over easy egg came out rock hard and overcooked, the onion was sliced to about 3 inches thick and we had a rotten tomato. At this point we just were so frustrated and didn't want to ruin the Father's Day so we just ate because we were so hungry and wanted to get out of there. We also waited about another 15 minutes for our corona bucket, was looking for waitress who was talking in corner to friends while our bucket of beer had been sitting at the bar for god knows how long - so we had to go up to the bar ourselves to get it!! Unreal and unacceptable! This place is a joke, and all they have going for them is live music which draws the crowds. Do yourself a favor and do not waster your time or money here, service it terrible and food is even worse, drink prices are high and are served in small plastic cups. I see other reviews on here with many complaints and where is management or the owners doing anything about it?? You will go downhill very fast if you don't fix your staff and kitchen.
First time at BYE and we came for dueling pianos. We had the beyond burger, just to try, and the sundae. Definitely want to try a real burger next time. It was really busy with a huge party but it calmed down. Our server and service was amazing. Love the play area outside for kids of all ages. The seating is sort of first come first serve so be prepared for that. We will be back.
Great space with fantastic service. The taco salad was fresh and delicious. The drinks of course were good. We enjoyed the live music. And the ice cream sundae was decadent! Boatyard Eats is the perfect place to go hang out on a Friday afternoon or night after work. It's chill, relaxing, fun, and a blast!
BoatYard Eats is an amazing place to meet with your friends and family. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxing and the staff makes you feel like you’re right where you’re supposed to be. We missed the food trucks, but we ordered Buffalo Wings with Mac n Cheese and a Brisket Sandwich with Tater Tots from their personal menu and it proved to be just as rich and flavorful. This is a great spot to enjoy unforgettable company, music, and food!
