My 26 foot Chris Craft boat sunk and was transferred to Workhorse Marine post recovery for analysis of the damage related to repair and insurance claims. Brad is absolutely the most professional, knowledgeable and accommodating gentleman. He thoroughly explained the options given the circumstances, interacted with the insurance company and was instrumental in the resolution of the situation. Having no knowledge or prior experience with boat repair I put my trust in Brad to guide me through and highly recommend that you do the same if you are looking for a low stress positive outcome.

Bit of an unconventional marina, and in a good way. 1-2 man shop run by a real nice guy named Brad. Good communication, fair pricing, and documents/sends you updates/images as he works through jobs. One of the best experiences I've had with any service shop - be it car or like in this case, boat.

I have used Brad multiple times now to get me out of some boating predicaments. An install of a trickle charger, oil changes, fixing a starter, fixing a bilge pump and more. Recently, I had a starter fail a few days before a big boating event with relatives who were coming from California. It was a short time frame and Brad was going to be out of town during the majority of that time. He came and got the boat running in such a short time frame, it was impressive. He can get to bolts that are buried deep away under the Volvo Penta engine!!!! Brad saved our weekend for sure, made a group of kids really happy as they got a chance to tube for the first time. All of this was possible because Brad came well after work hours to solve the issue. He is the best in the area. He stands by his work. He is responsive and friendly. He will take the time to explain the details. And he has a masterful way of organizing cables if you are an OCD type of person.

I recently purchased a 2010 Chaparral 310 Signature that was located in Maryland. I was referred to Brad at Workhorse Marine to transport the boat down to Lake Norman. In addition to transportation I ended up having Brad perform various repairs in preparation for launch (including First Bottom Painting, Replacing Anodes, New Impellers, Servicing the Outdrives & a Full Detailing). Brad was fantastic through the whole process, he is very knowledgeable and detail oriented. In addition to keeping you well updated along the way he takes the time to go through everything in detail so you understand your options and best path forward. You get the feeling that he treats each boat as if it was his own. While I am not new to boating this was my first boat purchase and first experience with a Cabin Cruiser. Once in the water Brad even took the time to go through some of the various features and answer my many questions. Workhorse Marine will be my go to for maintenance and any repairs needed going forward. I strongly recommend if you are looking for someone who will do things the right way and not nickel and dime you along the way.

Called Workhorse Marine to get my boat winterized for the first time, and didn't quite know what that entailed. I didn't get ahold of Brad the first time but he called me back promptly. November can be a busy time but he was able to fit me into his schedule. When I brought the boat over he did a walkthrough with me and addressed every concern I had. Boat Tansport- HIGHLY RECOMMEND WORKHORSE MARINE - I used Workhorse marine to transport a 25' pontoon from Cornelius NC to Lake Greenwood SC (295 miles RT). Price was very fair and reasonable. They accommodated my schedule even though I called them on very short notice. I was very impressed with their professionalism and service in all aspects. They clearly knew how to secure and transport a boat. I was also impressed that included in the price, they used two vehicles, one to transport and the other to follow and spot the boat and hauling vehicle. They were very cautious and safe drivers; and clearly knew how to do their job. Their service vehicles were also very nice vehicles. I will definitely call them again whenever I need a boat to be transported

Omg Brad at work horse marine was so professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. I needed a propeller installed on my boat and not only was he able to handle the job he extended his knowledge of boat's in addressing another issue i may have. Let me start by saying that I only post reviews for persons, companies and services that are above and beyond exceptional. That said, Brad at Workhorse Marine is someone you can trust with your vessel. I decided to purchase a boat and was on a tight schedule. Thus there was a lot to do in a short amount of time. Specifically, seeing the boat, having it inspected by a professional and doing a water test. The boat was 100 miles from my home so I searched for certified mechanics who might be able to do the inspection and water test for me. I’d seen Workhorse Marine on the internet and after a few phone calls, Workhorse was mentioned to me by another individual. I emailed WM from their website and followed up with a phone call. Brad took my call and I expressed my need for an inspection, a water test and also needing to have the boat towed to it’s new home. “I need to get this done within a week.” After a few laughs, Brad explained the process of the inspection, water test and answered every question I had. His schedule was busy, but he made it all happen. He even took the extra time to drive the boat 100 miles to my lake, put the boat in the water, take a cruise to make sure I was satisfied and finally, towed my trailer to a safe location. All of this work took up his entire day - he suggested a minor tune up after doing his inspection as well as a battery replacement - “I can do it today and then town the boat up to you”. Throughout the entire process Brad followed up and confirmed every appointment and meeting spot. He even got me a deal on a few needed supplies at a local shop. If I ever have questions or need work done, Brad is definitely the first person I’m calling. I would absolutely use Workhorse Marine in the future. My husband and I needed a mechanic to do a pre-purchase inspection on a 2009 Regal Cruiser. Brad, at workhorse marine was thorough, honest, communicative and professional. My husband and I are new to boat ownership and traveled from Annapolis, MD to purchase this boat. Brad was very patient with us, and helped to make every step of the purchasing process easy. I particularly appreciated the fact that upon discovering specific issues with the boat, he provided us with various options at various price points that would fit our budget instead of automatically pushing us into the most costly option to repair with whatever the issue was. It's extremely difficult to find an honest boat mechanic that performs excellent work at fair price points. Brad at Workhorse Marine was excellent to work with. He did a great job repairing my Cobalt. He communicated fully the entire time and even came back to my dock the next day (on a weekend) when I had another small issue pop up. Excellent small business I highly recommend!

Brad was very highly recommended by neighbors and I am thrilled to death to find a pleasant businessman and knowledgeable mechanic so close to home. I have been going to Denver for repairs which is across the lake and traffic. His shop or I should says shops, are so clean and organized and in a very respectable motor complex which caters high end cars, and various motor vehicles. Well he walked me through what was wrong and detailed solutions and recommended a good option in updating my older boat. Worked out great so far and looking forward to updating other features we discussed. Brad seems to be a fine man and his father is assisting him in the business. I have prayed about this move a lot see my boat is a 1995 model Regal and a Denver shop has maintained it since new ,so I have put my decision on Prayers for a better situation. 5 stars so far

I highly recommend using Brad to conduct an inspection before purchasing your water craft. I can’t thank him enough for his services because he found $3,000.00-$4,000.00 worth of repairs that needed to be taken care of immediately. Brad was honest and professional even in the midst of pressure from the current boat owner. I will continue to use his services before and after purchasing any boat.
