Great little spot, quiet, nothing but the sound of the trickling water at the springs. Great water too, best of any of the springs I've been to since Cave Springs just south of Rome Georgia.
We drive the backroads from Asheboro. It was very scenic and peaceful. This spring is well maintained and very clean. There is historical information posted as well as photos. Water is so cold, clear and fresh. This does not disappoint.
I wish I had known about this place years ago. As mentioned, a quick Google search into the history of this place will help you appreciate it even more. It’s a beautiful drive, plenty of architectural treasures along the way. There are a couple of picnic tables around the spring site, water reports for both “beauty” and “Health”, and a few photos/facts about the site posted in the shelter. I would like to Thank the owner for keeping this public, and allowing others the opportunity to enjoy this site and water.
This is such a cool place with a rich history. Nothing like it in the area, with the cleanest water you can possibly get anywhere close to here. This site actually contains springs from two separate sources. I highly suggest a visit, and maybe do a bit of research beforehand to really appreciate the site and history. There's also a lot of interesting plants along the woods to look at if you're into that sort of thing. An old footbridge nearby is still standing, as well as an old railroad depot at the 4 way intersection.
Always peaceful I always take my music and crank it up and get anywhere from 75 to 150 gallons a month every month for about the last 7 years I love it here it's so nice and clean always it's a wonderful place and a wonderful thing the church is done and buying it to allow people to get the water free
This water can and will heal you if you drink it and use it externally on your body... The actual spring is difficult to put properly on the mat but it's past the Mount Vernon Springs Presbyterian Church...
Great spot to bring kids and pets for good water. The pipes are pretty close to the ground, so if you're filling large containers, bring a smaller one to top them off.
