I absolutely will NOT take my recyclable metal ANYWHERE else! The people who work there understand how hard it is to scrap and treat u with respect, unlike Biltmore Iron and Metal, who act as tho you're asking them 4 a favor they really don't wanna do when u bring ur scrap in. They are rude and judgmental, unlike MTN Metals who've always treated me with respect and pay me for what I have, once again unlike Biltmore (or Aville Metal who have undercut me several times and attempted to pay me for copper graded #2 instead of BARE BRIGHT which brings the highest price. When I saw the payout ticket I went and got my copper load back and took it on over to Pond Rd and was paid what it was worth). Listen folks, don't let other scrap yards treat u like crap, go see the ppl on Pond rd. U won't b disappointed!
Quick, easy, convenient, and relatively clean. I don’t feel like I’m going to get a flat tire when I pull in, unlike some other scrapyards. They pay market rate or better and are easy to work with.
Saved up my wire for a year almost 400 pounds of wire and called before I came I was told what I had and I was told around 1 dollar a pound. When I got my ticket I they gave me 25 cents a pound. I knew I wouldn't get a dollar but 25cents especially when I've brought them a fraction of the same stuff before and walked out with about the same amount of money. Disappointing because I thought these were honest people.
Just went by there to sell some scrap aluminum cans. Pretty sure it's suppose to be right at .60¢ a pound. Got paid .40¢ a pound and 6 pounds less than what the scale showed. Scale showed 83 pounds and they paid 76 pounds. I'll make sure to go to my usual scrap yard from now on instead of this one.
Low balling on scrap very unsafe environment if you are not experienced in being around heavy equipment they do not pay attention to anyone or anything around them will dropping your scrap
Best metal yard in town. Run by wonderful people/workers. Have been going there for almost a decade and have never had a bad experience. And they don't allow scavenging. 5 stars!
Best Prices In Town...They Usually Match Other Scrap Yard Prices In The Area.. Super Easy To Get In And Out... Unlike Biltmore Iron And Metal...The Lady At The Window Is Super Nice Too! Other Places In Town Are Typically Rude To Me..Also A Real Person Answers The Phone..Not A Stupid Machine!
Best place in town to take scrap. Super friendly staff, easy to get in and out of - not like some place in town I won't mention. They keep the yard swept often and this is the only scrap yard I've never picked up something in my tire. Also easy access to I-40.
Good place to just go and drop off scrap metals from around the house (pots, pans, car parts, cans, etc..). Just pull up on the scale, tell them what you got, dump it out, and re-weight your car. You won't get the best prices for your stuff, but at least they will pay you a bit for your scrap instead of charging you like the landfill would.
