This is a great Branch for Advanced Auto Parts. The sales associates know the parts and work with you. As a bonus, everyone I’ve met there is friendly.
Horrible customer service by the manager or supervisor there this morning. A spray nozzle was on the shelf, original price $21 and some change but marked for clearance at $4:51. He decides he can’t sell it to me because it’s a recall which was a lie, when I called him off on it he says he will get in trouble if he sold it to me. And then he said the item shouldn’t have been out there because it’s gone down to a certain price.
If you made a mistake and place an item on the shelf and a customer decides to buy it, just sell it to them. You take responsibility for your mistake, there’s something honourable about taking ownership and holding yourself accountable. It says a lot about you and how you run your business.
Horrible service this morning. Went pick up 2 boxes of latex gloves. (Been getting them for 2 years now) always paid about $27.00 per box. They wanted to charge me $100 a box!! The young man was very nice n apologetic. He called the manager he paid no mind… totally walked away!! Then we wonder why people buy on Amazon??? I found them for $17.00. You need a better manager who actually cares!! I try to keep business local. Try to buy everything in Ossining!! Keep our stores open. But I’m never going back.
Advance Auto Ossining NY 10562 is the model of what a modern excellent auto parts store should be. John, Rich, and Wilbur are always helpful and friendly- they offer sound advice if needed and are just good people. You will be hard-pressed to find a brick-and-mortar auto parts store as good as this one with experienced professionals ready to help 100% of the time.
A convenient drop off spot for UPS. Especially since the UPS store in Briarcliff has a tendency to not abide by their listed hours and don't update their Google Business listing to reflect their true hours. This has happened at least three times to us. Advance could use more prominent UPS signage though.
They are very customer friendly and polite. Jerry went above and beyond to get me the car clips I needed. I have been driving from store to store trying to get these clips and was having a hard time because the computer said that had them but when I got to the store, they didn't have them. Jerry in Advance Auto ordered the clips and assured me that I would have them the next day, thank you Jerry!!
Auto Zone workers one the other hand just pointed and said "they are over there if we have any" no customer service skills at all. AGAIN, THANK YOU JERRY FOR GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND!!
I called to see if I could buy my car battery there and have it installed. The person I spoke with on the phone was extremely unhelpful, he would not offer to install my battery even though it says right on their website they do it in most advanced auto locations. Also the key fob battery needed to be replaced as well and the guy also told me he couldn't help me with that either even though the previous employee who worked there did it for me. Anyway long story short this employee who worked there but did not get his name was extremely unhelpful and basically said I needed to do everything myself. I went to AUTO ZONE right across the street in the Arcadian shopping center and not only did they change my battery and installed it for me, but they also right then and there changed the battery of my key fob as well. Advanced auto zone is the most unhelpful car store I ever went to. Will not be going back. I spend a lot of money on my car but won't be doing it there.
Rude service and bad parts. Bought a defective battery very recently and they wouldn’t give me my money back or exchange. Claimed a mechanic I trust was lying. Never going here again.
Best auto parts store in the area. I go there all the time. Richie is expertly knowledgeable and makes sure you have everything you need to complete the repair
Great place for purchasing your car parts. Staff were very helpful as well as friendly. I needed help with a very specific issue, regarding a motorcycle part and accommodations for a project. I was helped with my issue, and a special 0art was ordered with no commitment. I did find some of the prices to be high, but I guess this is what one pays for convenience. I also wish their selection of motorcycle products was a bit better, but car needs seem to be good, and shipping of items from their storage location is very fast, often times within the same day. Convenient location, good business hours.
Have NO idea of how to sale products. I had a really nice sales person help me choose wipper blades for my car by bringing choices to see and offering his personal experience and recommendations. Sadly when it came time for me to actually buy and pay there was a lighting strike and the sales computers went dead - can happen. BUT they never recovered, even with me waiting for like 15min when heavy storm with heavy rain was seen in the stormy sky. I clearly needed the new wippers then and there NOW. I even offered to pay by cash but the manager said that they can't make the sale. I am sure that they could find a way, especially since I needed the wippers urgently at that time! There were 3 employees at the store at that time. The only reason I gave them 2 ? rating was that the employee/sales person that I talked to and helped me was exceptional nice and helpful BUT he was powerless given the manager and store policy to make the sale! At this point I found a better product for 1/3 the price!
They absolutely refused to give me any help on how to change my driver side tail light that was out l, seemed like the laziest employees I've ever Met.
