These guys are the absolute best. Honest and quality mechanics and fair pricing. I would highly recommend.

Great service and communication all around. Car was towed in the middle of the day and was ready to pickup by the end of the day. Will be going back for service in the future. Pictures on their portal when reviewing service being done was a great touch. Definitely recommend Allison Auto Center.

Very professional and friendly. I had my Subaru towed there after a breakdown and they were very responsive and did not try to take advantage of my situation. Very reasonably priced. My first time going to them, but not my last.

The best customer service, prices and expertise in the Lower Hudson Valley. I couldn't recommend more highly.

Went in for a 20k mile maintenance service - inspections and brake fluids flush. Not sure if this is typical for this type of work but it took 2 hours - which felt kinda long. Can't comment on the price as I have nothing to compare it to. Overall, good experience, staff were helpful and process was pretty straight forward: hand over car, wait, pay and leave.

I recently brought my Mercedes Sprinter to Allison Auto Center, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the service. The team was super professional, did everything we needed, and kept the whole process smooth and stress-free. When we picked up the Sprinter, we were so confident in their work that we dropped off another van right away for them to handle. That’s how much trust they’ve earned with us! They’ve definitely become my go-to shop, and I’ll be using them forever. Highly recommend Allyson Auto Center for anyone looking for reliable, honest, and professional auto service.

These guys diagnosed, documented and repaired a number of issues with my car. The mechanics are friendly and patient with their explanations. The repairs were also fairly priced. This was easily the best service I've ever gotten from a car mechanic. Their shop might also be the cleanest I've ever seen. These guys are super legit, highly recommended!!

I just went for a state safety inspection. The inspection was fine. But they were terrible at letting me know how long this simple, straightforward process would take. First it was an hour, then two hours, then three hours, then four hours. I think Allison is okay and had therefore decided not to comment, but they kept nagging me for a response. So here it is. Happy?

They replaced my car engine. And did a few complimentary check ups and replaced a couple of tire sensors that I provided without charging my for labor. They are very fair. I even hit a few discounts which are always welcome! I recommend Allison Auto Center for any car problems. Very polite customer service and always helpful.

I brought my Honda to Allison Auto Center because it was making a noise. They diagnosed it, fixed it properly, and had it ready for pickup the same day. The price was what I expected. Communication was good. They respected my communication preferences and used email for contacting me with the estimate and to say that the car was ready. The business feels organized and well managed. It was a good experience and I would use them again.

09 Sonata recently purchased, passing NYS Inspection at another sight. I realized issues with the brakes + driving to and from the inspection. Allison Auto Center truly inspected the vehicle, confirming a number of serious but repairable issues found starting with the brakes and leading up to brake hoses secured with wire ties, seized e brake lines, metal on metal brake pads +. I was quickly shown what they observed. I was provided a detailed report with pics online to forward to the previous owner. Costly repairs.... but worth it to assure my safety and that of my family. Its the reason I refuse to take my vehicles for service anywhere else.

I went there early July 2024 for a low coolant level on my Land Rover LR4 2013. They did their diagnostic ($145) and told me that it was the water pump and thermostat housing plus the belt needs to be replaced as well. I need to do this because I have a long drive trip mid-July and I informed them about it. Abel called me later on that when they lifted the car, the transmission fluid was leaking. Showed me a video but I don’t see any active leaking except that its was shiny. I asked Abel if I could still drive the car and he said as long its not far. The coolant issue was “fixed” and drove the car home. When I came out of the car I saw “lines” in my driveway. When I looked at under the car I saw a waterfalls! I called the shop immediately and I spoke to Alex. I was furious about what happened and was arguing and later on he admitted that their tech hit the transmission cooler line and it broke. He then offered to tow the car the following day. I was really disappointed because Abel told me that it was leaking and implying that it was broken when I brought in. I checked the skid plate and there was no leak mark so that really means it was not broken when I brought in. Since I was really nice to them, we end up settling and still have to spend $900 to get the transmission cooler line fixed. Now, mid-July I drove the car to Maine as planned and not even halfway the coolant warning went off again! The reservoir is empty and I see and smell of coolant in the water pump area. I am really furious because besides I have a broken car we already have a for a family trip which I cannot be refunded already. I will post another review after I speak to them tomorrow. Update 07/20 at 8:30am, called the shop and Abel picked the phone. I told him about the situation and told me that sometimes low coolant level happens after flush. He said to just topped it off. I will update this after 250+ miles Update 07/21 at 9:30am at the camp, the coolant reservoir was at the lowest level. Topped off to max level. I really don’t see an active leak but still see the same shiny looking at the bottom. Its kinda tight so not really 100% sure. Will be driving another 50-100miles today. Will update this post again tomorrow. Update 07/22 at 10am engine cold, the coolant reservoir was at the lowest level again. Topped off again to max level. Will update this post again tomorrow. Update 07/23-07/24, drove 464 miles and topped off 5 times. It goes just below the low level before topping it off. Engine area continues to smell coolant. Will bring the car to the shop and hopefully fix it completely this time Update 08/13/24, car was brought back to Alison on July 30 and was picked up 08/02. Abel said there was a hole and they fixed it. Coolant reservoir was at max limit. Car was driven 1800miles from Aug 9-13. Coolant was checked and it was on the low side. So far as of Aug 13, it stayed on the low side. Will give an update if there are any changes

These guys really care. They make good recommendations, do their best to get the diagnosis right, try to save money on parts, and if they get something wrong, they make sure they remedy the situation right away. For example, I went for an alignment, but they found a tie rod issue and instead of just doing what I asked, they advised me to fix the tie rod. Which I appreciated and did. That still didn’t take the wobble away, so when I went back, and told them, they balanced the tires, and then did another alignment which solved the problem, but they didn’t charge me for the second alignment. Another time I asked them to check my brakes, which they did but didn’t find any issues, so they did a brake bleed just in case and they didn’t charge me for it. A great group of people that do great work. It is expensive though. Less than a dealership, but only slightly. They have a fairly high hourly rate and only use factory parts, but the service level is worth it.

Allison Auto Center always "goes the extra mile" for me. A couple times I've been in a rush situation (expired inspection etc.) and they've always helped me out. In general, very nice folks with a strong customer service focus and very reasonable pricing!

I have been taking my car to Allison Auto for all my automotive needs for years now and am extremely pleased with their diagnostic abilities, hands-on know-how, and conscientious customer service. Alex, the owner, is thorough, honest and straightforward. He has a talented team and they deliver as promised. I recommend them highly for all-around business excellence. All car repair businesses should emulate them.

It’s always a smooth, easy, and very pleasant Experience, bringing my car in. The staff is super professional, polite, and straightforward. I feel confident that they do great work, and are also very honest. It’s a really nice touch that they have snacks and coffee in the waiting area, too!

Alex and his team are honest, trustworthy and always deliver for me at a very reasonable price. Estimates are on target and they do a great job of communicating progress on repairs. My go to for car maintenance and repairs.

Great hours of operations and will get your vehicle in the shop checked quicker than average timing. Lacks heavy in giving the best advice that will save you money (i.e: less than 900 miles to an oil change and they received a code for low oil. I know my car and had a feeling that was the issue, I was vocal about having 1 quart of oil in my car available. The mechanic put 2 quarts all I needed was 1 to reach oil change. Why didn't he use my oil or just tell me to put oil; better yet why didn't he just recommend an earlier oil change. He charged me the same price for an oil change to refill my oil levels.....) Do not go here if you know your car, do go here if you want to be swindled by mechanics.

I had Alison replace the rack and pinion steering in my son’s car. Everything was discussed openly with me, Abel was very helpful in dealing the with warranty company, and once the part was ordered the installation was prompt and sone with a minimum of fuss. The whole time I felt comfortable—Abel kept me fully informed every step of the way. I am really glad I found these guys. I feel confident that they are taking full care of all my automotive needs and I can heartily recommend them.

I had a great experience at Allison Auto Center. My car had a number of issues that needed to be addressed. The team did a good job of diagnosing those issues and providing estimates for all the repairs. They gave me the opportunity to approve or deny addressing specific items based on my preferences and were not pushy whatsoever. They actually ended up misdiagnosing one item and it needed a different, more expensive part than was previously discussed. They handled it very professionally and worked with me to reduce the (now higher) cost. I’ll be using this repair center for all future vehicle maintenance.

I brought my vehicle for State inspection first thing Monday morning and they took it right in, which, for a busy shop to do, I appreciate. I waited in customer area while they did their thing. They came out and thoroughly explained with photos why they did not pass the vehicle. Mind you, it's an older vehicle, their recommendations were not really overstated. I did not push back on any of the recommended service, I went home and ordered the parts for myself...going much further, actually, then they had advised. I went with premium instead of value parts... everything I ordered was an upgrade to OEM. When I returned with the parts and tires, they explained their policy is to not take customer ordered parts. "I understand. No problem, I'm sorry to have wasted your time. Thank you." I took my business to another mechanic that did take my parts. $630 labor went to the team that performed the work. I don't fault Allison Auto for their policy; I understand why that policy is in place, and it is clearly posted for customers to see, and I didn't think to ask before ordering the parts for myself. No hard feelings. But if you like to know exactly what is being installed in your vehicle, and you like to order your parts from Rock Auto or Tire Rack or Autozone, this might not be the Shop for you.

Alex and his team were very professional, humble and honest. He had my car on the lift showed me the damage piece on the exhaust and explained what the repairs would be including the price which came out to be very decent. Thank you guys for all the help and I’ll definitely be coming back for any diagnostic or repairs needed in the future! Highly recommend...

Service was very efficient and courteous. Price and installation of my new battery were fair. They were great at communicating too. When I need my car serviced next, instead of going to the BMW dealer, I will go to Allison's Auto Center.

This was my first time to use Allison Auto Center. Alex was very helpful from the minute I called to get estimates on several big jobs that I needed done on my car. His estimates were detailed with all parts' prices and labor and his prices were good compared to other auto shops and dealers' prices. When I took my car for a quick oxygen sensor replacement, he gave me great recommendations on issues he and his mechanic observed in my car. I highly recommend Allison Auto Center and will definitely recommend them to friends and family.

I have been going to Allison Auto for 3 years now and even though I moved 40 mins away I still go to them! One of the guys at a popular chain discount tire store asked me who my mechanic was because he did a good job fixing the bushing under my car. They are super qualified and nice and I definitely recommend! He does great work without being too expensive. He even fixed the horrible noise the driver door was making from a dent with no extra charge, thank you!

Friendly, profesional and trustable. We brought our car here for an electric issue and a inspection. They ended up fixing and executing a number of other jobs and tasks that were necessary and made our car much more efficient. Loved the service and the fast response to our needs. Will continue to bring our car here, and will definitely recommend this place.
