Even though I was thoroughly NOT amused with my car breaking down again for the second time in a week (this time with two pups in cargo), I am eternally grateful for Holmes and Kugler Towing!! Both times they came to my rescue swiftly and got my stubborn car on and off the deck with ease! If you need a tow these are the guys to call! They will forever and always be SIMPLY THE BEST!

I had a horrible experience with this towing company. They towed my car and caused scratches on the rear, but they completely denied responsibility. When I confronted them, they showed me a blurry, unclear photo from before the tow, which proves nothing. It’s obvious they damaged my car but refused to own up to it. Extremely unprofessional and dishonest! If you care about your vehicle, avoid this company at all costs.

A quick and easy tow with no issues, and no damage not very expensive 👍🏽

Yesterday was a difficult day for us. Our Kias EV6 just up and died on the road, and left us in a precarious position on the road. Thankfully a police officer called H&K. He loaded my car on his truck, but when he went to drive away the PTO wouldn't turn off. Long story short they were able to get another tow truck there and swap it out. Who does that? Props to these guys!!! Thanks

I'm so lucky I called these guys. I spoke to Josh who made a stressful situation a little less stressful. My truck was picked up and dropped off EXACTLY when they said for the EXACT price they quoted. No funny business and about $120 cheaper than my previous calls. Awsome!

The driver I encountered was very short and rude for no reason at all. He claimed he didn't know where the cat was going. What's worse is the vehicle was packed with miscellaneous things above the passenger front window and the window was open. He was going to risk things falling out the window into traffic. I asked him could he move it soo he didn't cause an accident. He didn't like that either.

My wife broke down 70 miles from home and H&K was recommended to me by my Subaru dealer so I called them. They showed up and its not unheard of for ppl waiting for a tow that never comes. What really made me review and so high was what they charged was more than fair and reasonable for the distance. When in need I will definitely call H&K every time. Thank you for making a bad day a little better H&K

In my experience, this company is AWFUL! Do not get your car towed here. The employee even said about the owner, Chris, verbatim “unfortunately he’s a jerk.” The most unprofessional and disgusting experience in my life. In my experience, they are money hungry callus people who are trying to make a quick buck at your expense. The owner, Chris, LIED to me, saying I could get my tow and that he’d be there when I got back. This was said IN FRONT of a police offer whom I called because of the disrespect and discrepancies in my car being towed. When I returned (15 minutes) he left purposely. A&C Towing, their competition is MUCH BETTER. Go there if you need a tow.

I called this afternoon to get my car towed out of a tight parking garage space and over to my dealership. The gentleman who answered the phone was very friendly and he said he’d get someone there that afternoon. About a hour and a half later I got a call that they were almost there and I met the gentleman outside. He was very friendly, personable, and quick. Again, this was a low clearance garage and he didn’t complain once. Would call again!

Absolutely love how great of a job they do and how wonderful they treat their customers. Also are very reasonable with prices. Highly recommend reaching out to H&K if you are in need of a tow of any type.

H&K towing is a great company; hard working and has the small town feel. The owners and employees are helpful and personable.

Amazing that you can tow on a Sunday but you're not open to retrieve the vehicle. Your garage is open with all your tools. Anyone could just walk in and wipe out the garage, yet no one is there. I'm sure you couldn't care less because you make money off of people's misery. Lights on, music playing. It's truly incredible.

I'm 2.1 miles from their business address and they told me they don't service my area anymore. Guy on the phone was short and kind of rude about it too. Previous service was good, fast with fair prices. I'm not sure what's happened now but I will no longer recommend this place as I have in the past.

I had a flat tire on a Saturday afternoon. I removed the lug nuts, but the wheel would not budge. I could not manage changing the tire myself. I searched for towing companies and called this one for roadside assistance and a possible tow. A guy with a flatbed tow truck arrived in about an hour. He used a better jack to make sure my car was stable, and used a big rubber hammer at first, and then a much heavier hammer to free the old wheel. He then put my spare on. The price for roadside assistance on a weekend was very reasonable. I'm very glad that he was well prepared. I could not be more pleased.

Not only were they the cheapest out of 4 other local tow companies we called, they also responded quickly and arrived within 20 min of our call! We were very grateful for the driver's kindness and assistance!

On the way to work my car began to overheat and I pulled over. I called the dealer and was referred to H&K, so I called them to have a truck sent out. I didn't ask for an ETA and wasn't provided one but figured they'd make every effort to get a truck out within a reasonable timeframe. After waiting a half hour I called to ask about an ETA and they said it would only be another 20-30 minutes at most. After waiting another 30 minutes I called again and was told it'd be another 15-20 minutes. I've waited for a tow truck for an hour and a half as of submitting this review. It's below freezing outside and my car's been cold for the last hour or so, so I've definitey had better experiences with tow companies. Edit: Upgraded this review to 2 stars because the driver was quick and professional once the truck got there.

Very polite and respectable service. Day manager informative and helpful. If vehicle previosly impounded, leave paper work in the car window for 3wks though if parking on schenectady streets. SCPD on the prowl and will order H&K to re-tow. It's not there fault. They are very helpful pleasant people.

I so wish I got the gentleman's name that helped me ! He was absolutely wonderful! He got me unstuck and didn't charge me because he did not have to lift my car ! I ever need a tow this is the company I am going to call!

They quickly picked up my automobile and gave me a ride to their shop. They weren't very helpful from there on. My car required work which I expected but the price changed 2 times and neither was in my favor. The lineup of cars in the que led me to believe that this company was slow to get work done. My suspicions were confirmed when I had to wait several days longer than previously told. If looking for a tow I'd recommend that you looked else where before calling J&K.

The absolute worse customer service experience of my life. The lady on the phone has such a bad attitude. I never understood why if someone hates their job why don’t they find one that they like. I guess nasty people have to be in an industry that make other people miserable. The towing industry makes a living of the misery of others. This company is by far the worst towing company I have encountered. I don’t get why some of these reviews say they have good prices. They are a rip off, every day they will quote different prices according to the mood they are in. I got towed last year and this year by the same company with similar circumstances, this year was more money. The people that work there are ur typical Schenectady scum. This is one reason why Schenectady, is the arm pit of the Capital region. I have been here 1 year and I have had my car towed twice and my tires slashed twice.

I was stuck in a bad spot during a snow storm. Rafeal came within the hour and even drove me to where I needed to go. Much cheaper than I expected without the help of insurance or triple A.

So let me preface this review by saying, we all need to be responsible for our actions and not point the finger or blame anyone else. More importantly one should not take out their frustration and anger out on another individual or retaliate against them or the company they represent. That being said, last Friday my car was towed buy H&K Towing in Schenectady. I was mortified and thought it was the end of the world and didn't look at the role I played in getting it towed. Once I got home and calmed down, not going into details, it was actually a godsend that my car was towed when it was towed. After already dishing out over $1,000 in fees and penalties I contacted H&K Towing and explained my situation and ask if they could work out something with me. The individual I spoke to was Vince and after working out a manageable solution with him I got very emotional and thanked him from the bottom of my heart for his consideration. I have to admit before I contacted Vince I did read the reviews and some were favorable and some weren't. I leaned towards the favorable reviews and made the call hoping that they would understand my situation and work with me. So a bad situation at first became a very very good situation at the end. After all I made a new friend and his name is Vince. Thank You Vince for your understanding and your consideration! Great company great people!! Disregard any bad review that maybe written and keep in mind there are always two sides to the story.

The gentleman that towed my car was knowledgeable of the area. He was able to find my me in the middle of no where and get my vehicle to a nearby shop quickly. He was very helpful and offered to give me a ride to meet my spouse so she didn’t have to drive so far to pick me up. Excellent customer service by far. I recommend this company to anyone for a small company they do very well. Thank you H&K!

My mother in laws car got towed by them. They waited 18 days to call her to tell her she owes $1000 in cash for storage. They said could not track her down. She is an elderly person on fixed income and they made it clear if she did not pay in 30 days they could sell her car. Really sad to see such lack of caring for others! Breaks ones spirit to see this type of behavior.

The tow truck driver damaged my driveway and the company after 2 weeks never bothered to help. After numerous calls saying someone would call me or come give an estimate. I would never work with a company who does not respect others property

“Nothing goes in or out of that car till I get paid.” That is exactly what I was told when I called them. If your car is driveable pay the man and get out of their way. Otherwise let the insurance companies deal with it.

The worst possible customer service I've ever received. I was recently in an accident and the police apparently use this Neanderthal Vinnie as there go to without any input from the person needing the service. Well unless you carry cash H & K will not tow your car unless it's to their yard. Mind you I had a checkbook and a credit card, and was told by Vinnie the mobster, that he didn't have to take anything other than cash. Mind you, he could have taken my credit card, but he actually told me he didn't have and to and wasn't going to. Thankfully my body shop gentleman paid them and all was well, but trust me, I would pull my car myself before I'd ever give this rude, crude moron a penny of my money. You'd be smart to use the many other professional towing services in Schenectady.
