I would not take my vehicles anywhere else but Craig Auto Shop in New Windsor. It’s my go‑to spot, and it should be yours as well. I’ve lived here for more than 20 years and have known several auto shops in town, but none have been as honest or fair. Over time, I lost trust in most places—until I met the two gentlemen at Craig’s.
They are truly amazing people: knowledgeable, fair, honest, and committed to getting the job done in a timely manner. I was hesitant to bring my Audi to them at first, but it turned out to be the best decision I could have made. They found the problem quickly and had it fixed the very next day, just as promised. My car has been running beautifully ever since.
I share my experience with everyone I come across because dealing with car issues can be stressful, and it’s a huge relief knowing you have someone you can trust. I genuinely appreciate what they did for me in a moment of need.

Had a problem with my 2004 Honda Civic temperature needle, kept rising then dropping. Took the car to Craig for the first time. VERY clean and organize garage, very fair price to fix the problem and honest evaluation of the problem. Definitely would come back again

Reposting since my review was taken down. I've been going to Craig's for years and so has my family. I recently had my car inspected, and after I got it back that there were grease/oil stains all over the inside of my car and radio. They absolutely weren't there before. No mention of it to me or offer to clean it. Won't be going back.
Very professional shop, with a personal approach to cusromer sevice. Fixed my car quickly, and more affordablely than I anticipated. Its been a struggle for many years to find someone who I could trust to both; do a sufficient job at repairs, but also at a fair price. No longer, I will be using them for all of my auto repairs in the future.
I have taken our cars to Craig’s for a long time. I had a Pontiac Vibe that kept having engine trouble and other places wanted to replace all sorts of very expensive parts, and it wasn’t solving the problem. Craig always took the time to look at it and access what was wrong before fixing anything and to provide options for what was mission critical and what could wait until next payday. As someone who knows nothing about cars it’s such a relief to know you’re getting honest service and quality work from someone you trust. Highly recommend.
I have been coming to Craig for the last 10 years and he has fixed problems the dealership caused, taught me how to change a tire, my own oil and I will still drive back to Cornwall to have him work on my cars. Great service always.
Had a new AC condenser put in. Ended up with a overheating engine because of a damaged radiator coolant hose (part was damaged when placed back on) bumper was not put on properly and half of the screws holding various parts were missing. Ended up costing another $300 at my usual mechanic to fix the damage and make sure the overheating didn’t damage a head gasket.
Go in for a new clutch and end up having to rebuild transmission due to not enough oil being put back into transmission. Owner takes No blame. Doesnt offer any help. HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. STAY AWAY. IF I COULD GIVE A NO STAR I WOULD.
The shop owner is honest and kind. He goes out of his way to help you out with whatever you need with your car. I have had the pleasure of having Craig worked on my two Mercedes Benzs, one is an older version, 2013 and he does a fantastic job keeping it safe for me.

had inspection done, wheel lugs were not torqued. wheel wobble after 1500 miles, driver front lugs almost fell off. thanks for endangering myself and others, job well done
