This Utica location is a key location off the NY Thruway between Syracuse and Albany. Two of the chargers don't charge. There's no trash cans and only a Burger King that's a long walk across a busy highway. They are slow chargers; very poor!
Fast charger, 150kW at 15%, WC not so great at walgreens. Strip mall bit no good restaurants or cates. Convoluted i90 exit to get there though, lots of driving around so if in a hurry move along.
Stopped by and charged Tesla on the go. It was busy but a couple of spots were still open. Started charging (from 29%) and it started charging quickly with about 150kwh and as charging goes up, speed reduces and kWh starts to go down (which is very normal at all charging stations). Went to Burger King across the street had my lunch and used restroom. Restroom was super clean. All good.
Not sure why so many people are complaining about this charger. Maybe they didn’t pre-condition the battery before they got here. We are getting 143kW.
Needed to charge a rental vehicle.
Arrived at 8pm at charging station, plugged into charger and paid for time when a message came on the screen of the charging station that full charge would be achieved at 2:30 am! Some 5 hours + later.

We’ve been to this supercharger previously and despite being the only car charging, we’ve never been able to attain a charging rate higher than 75 kW per hour. That is with under 50% charge remaining and the battery preconditioned.
The location is in a dirty little spot at the end of a dirty little shopping plaza.
We advise using this location only as a last resort.
Perfect place to charge your car specially when you know you have a market near by to pass your time and fill your belly. There are near 7 charging point here.
It was clean and fast. A couple of people rolled in and charged for 5 min and 10 min, then zipped away. We were with our son to charge his Model 3 Performance.

I think I've used this supercharger four times now and the directions the onboard navigation gave me have never been correct. You can see the charging stations to your left from Leland Ave, but you cannot take a left turn into the shopping center from that street as the navigation instructs; you have to continue past the shopping center to Auert/Herkimer and take a left at the light to get to the main entrance. However, I've never approached this charger from the Thruway, so those directions might be better.
The station itself is well lit but it's around the corner of the building so you car will not be visible from any of the businesses in the plaza. I also find it a little pricey, but probably just compared to charging at home.
The plaza has a Price Chopper supermarket that's open until 11PM so I assume there are no restrooms or other amenities late at night. There are, however several convenience stores within walking distance which may be open all hours.
On the topic of amenities: if you're charging or just stopping for a while, be sure to eat at the North End Pizza and Tap a few doors down from the Price Chopper. Their pizza and Utica Greens are great.
Not too far off interstate 90, no wait during our visit. Convenient access to a yummy sandwich shop, large supermarket with a bathroom, and a fast food restaurant.
Almost never busy, thus end up with very fast charging. Coffee and great food within a few minute walk at wanna play cafe, otherwise grocery store, a pizzaria/bar, and Burger King are your food options. It's fairly easy to get to off I90, and the only supercharging option on your way to and from the north country.
Recently has been very well up kept. All chargers work all the time.
Feels safe during daylight. Some of the stalls were vandalized but still worked fine. There's a Walgreens, Price Chopper in the shopping center, both with decent restrooms. Chinese takeout in same center.
Not super easy to get to and really confusing re-entry to highway (via Google directions). Located next to a strip mall with a grocery store, card shop and some other stuff. Burger King nearby.
The first pedestal we plugged into did not work. Not sure which number it was.
Highly recommend North End Pizza and Tap. Super friendly service. Food was great! Good menu options and clean, contemporary atmosphere.
Chargers themselves are excellent, but the location was dodgy. Side of a non-descript strip mall. BK for lunch was the only option, no coffee to be found. I'd jump over this one for Albany to the South or Waterloo to the north for better amenities.
Located in a strip mall across the street from a biglots plenty of things to do while you're chargeing as long as you're traveling during business hours. Unlike the wayside 24hr truck stop super charger locations along the turnpike there's no immediate access to a bathroom after hours, though this super charger is located very close to a 24hr Rite aid drug store and gas stations. Almost closer than the Wayside superchargers because here they are right on the side of the mall. Most locations they are put at the farthest point away from any structure at the opposite end of the parking.
