Been going here my whole life and the only issue I’ve had is the folks who don’t know how to back up a trailer to save their life. Good staff and good operation.
For those who criticize the recycling center due to the performance of their local trash pickup company, take the time to hunt down the right company to complain about. Maybe you don’t know how to back up a trailer.
We got compost from here because we needed a lot of it. Great price but you definitely get what you pay for. It has a lot of small pieces of plastic in it. If you’re on a budget, this is a great option but if you can spend a little extra, I would get quality compost from somewhere else. We were on a budget so we got it from here. I’m still picking out plastic a year later but can’t beat the price so I’m not regretting my decision.
The lady that handles the City of Utica complainants needs to find another job. She is lazy and gives different answer each time you call. Called repeatedly regarding neighbor putting out trash 3 to 4 days early that was poorly packed or left open to blow all over the place. This photo was taken Wednesday night and has been at the curb since 8 AM. Garbage night is Thursday night. Maybe it is time to abolish the Solid Waste Authority seeing one person can’t do there job.
This is THE place to go in the Greater Utica area for your residential or commercial rubbish and green waste disposal needs in safe and legal manner. By the bag or weighed by the pound for tonnage rate, they get you in and out swiftly. The staff there is pleasant and helpful to direct you where you need to go.
This place was amazing. I got there when they opened at 8am. There was a very pleasant woman walking around checking on everyone and seeing what they needed and how she could help. I was there for bulk compost. I have never been here before and the experience was great. It was streamlined and seamless!! Got a full pick up truck of compost for $15 bucks.
Your place is great. Employees always friendly and efficient in their jobs. It is the company that makes the blue bags. This time it is the small bags. I buy some large and some small each month. I get them all at the same time. Well so far the 3 small ones do not have the pull ties on one side and I have to get some string to ties the. I put my cat litter in the bags and I would not want that falling out on the crew when picking up our blue bags. A good quality of control study needs a looking at. Once you put you plastic house bags in the blue bag you are not taking them back to the store. Once I did and Chanatry replaced them with no problem. This is a concen and not blaming you.
Trucker directions from rt 90 get off exit 31 go through toll and turn onto genessee street south.make a left turn on wurz ave. Go to the end and turn right onto leland. Go to the end and follow sign for scale. Make sure your fuel tanks are full before coming here. I called to know what days they come to pick up my trash, the representative Beth was extremely unprofessional. She was rude over the phone and not helpful at all.
The folks that work in the Eco-drop center are fantastic! They are knowledgeable, friendly, and always helpful. We're so fortunate to have such a great waste authority in Oneida County.
Cheaper than having a service pick it up and you can bring in all kinds of stuff and weigh in on the scale and pay for weight not per bag all the time. But if you want to pay per bag you can.
Went their for first time was kind of busy. I really didn't know what to do but lady think her name was Jen was very nice and gave me easy directions. Left 200lbs of garbage paid 15 bucks was easy will go again
owner - This is in response to your response to Linda Kaidan regarding the collection of cardboard at the curb. I called Spohn's in Mohawk and the woman I spoke to blamed it on your regulations not theirs. Just the opposite of what you are stating. They have instructed their drivers NOT to get out of the truck to pick up cardboard recyclables. Cut and tied 30x30 doesn't matter. No cardboard. Just pick the tote. If we happen to have small cardboard boxes picked up, then it should be considered as fortunate as the drivers were "just being nice".
If i can leave zero stars I would multiple reasons main reason is it says on their website they close at 5 PM but I show up at 4 o’clock and gates closed Wow not professional and update your website
The dump is convenient and economical. I usually go early in the morning so there’s never any lines. You are charged two dollars per container of garbage (I use a big plastic box that can house up to three garbage bags) and recycling is free. I saved so much money since I canceled my service with Waste Management and started disposing of my waste myself. Note, I’ve only used it to get rid of my regular waste so your experience may differ if your needs are more complex than mine.
Rude stuff, got charged for amount of 400lb to despose of 7 plastic oil jugs from house hold, tried to get an answer from lady she said her computer was down and screaming that I should leave!!! Its not worth it to recycle since its going to same garbage pile. When you just can bring it to the curb.
The first time I went the employees were very helpful, but the second time around the lady behind the window was extremely rude and didn't direct us where to go.
