  They are working with the cops to illegaly tow car and then try to keep them. Cop came to my car gave me a ticket that never showed up to my house or existed. had temporary tags they told me it was illegal and that my car had a salvage title mean while I showed them my clean title and they refused to let me get my car back till I payed $400. They only had the for for about 3 hours. I also saw them break my mirror with their lift and then they denied it.

  July of 2021 “North Side Auto Towing” was in Conjunction with the 106th Precinct, They ILLEGALLY towed my box truck claiming to have been parked for over 30 Days which was NOT true. When I tried to remove my vehicle before getting towed they told me if I moved my Truck I would be arrested for “Obstruction”. They then Towed my Box Truck against my will, held it Hostage and tried to overcharge me triple what the legal state limit was allowed, when I called my uncle who has been towing cars for over 20 yrs, he called the owner and explained that what he was doing was illegal and if they didn’t charge me the correct state amount permitted to release my truck, we would sue for theft & fraud. That was the only reason why they released my truck, I have video evidence of the complete transaction, PLEASE BEWARE !! This company has a history of doing this, it’s EXTORTION Partnered with the 106th Precinct in Queens NY. Do your due diligence, Know hour Rights, Protect yourself.

  All the 5 star reviews are spot on! We had been putting off removing a dead, old car from my deceased sister-in-law's apartment garage because we had no idea how to do so. It came down to the wire and I called a few places...none could remove it from a garage. Tried Carmula... Thomas answered and agreed to get the car next day if need be. Really great guy to work with!! He got the car out and even offered to return the plates to DMV...above and beyond! I can't say enough about how I entrusted this guy I didn't know from Adam to get us out of a serious bind and he did so without a hitch. That just doesn't happen anymore! It's awesome!!   I called carmula -"car-mula " get it? Anyway i got my hands on one of those rice rocket honda's ,you know the one's that the really annoying kids drive around the neighborhood with ,they have nowhere to go and nothing to do so the make they're cars really loud and annoying by making their cars sound like the 4th of july or some loser is popping shots out of the back ,anyway i gave this kid $50 bucks to borrow it "they're really stupid" and car-moolah gave me $500, i have been doing this systematically 2-3 times a week, i'm making extra cash, getting jerkoffs off the street , and making the roads safer,win,win ,win.   Made the inquiry online around 8:30, got a call around 10 and the car was gone by 1. Fast, efficient and genuinely kind people. The driver even gave me a hug.   I called the business to have my car picked up. Year, make and model, its condition was discussed. We agreed on $100 and that the car would go for scraps - pretty straightforward. When the tow comes in, the person tells me he can give me $50, which I paid. It is rather a matter of a principle more than the $50 that they stiffed me on. This is the problem with this type of business - I have no doubt in my mind the vast majority of these businesses are honest and do what is right. But the few and far between of dishonest places like this one tarnish the image for the majority of hard working business owners. Don't join those who support dishonesty and bad business, and don't do business with them. Plenty of choices around with much higher standards (unfortunately, I can't undo my choice of these people, but lesson learned). A.S.

  Was quoted 200.00 on phone. Website says guaranteed quotes given. When tow truck driver arrived said was misquoted price and he could only pay 100.00. Should I.be happy? Seems your at their mercy.

  I called these dopes yesterday and was immediately greeted with "the price of metal is at a 10 year low" song and dance. When I asked if the price quoted would in fact be the price when I got there the response was "well if you car is all original, like the exhaust and catalytic converter ". For those who don't know this trick they'll quote you one price and give you a bunch of bs when you get there or after you've taken your plates off and ripped your reg out of the window. Don't waste your time. In fact if anyone ever tells you that they have to give you less because you've replaced a part tell them to ef off and call someone else. Don't be a sucker.

  Needed cash, was in a jam, car wasn’t going to be fixed anytime soon, Called CARMULA and my car wasn’t picked up in 2 hours. GUYS WERE AWESOMW GAVE ME CASH ON SPOT!! Thank you staff @CARMULA your helped me clear my driveway and put some green in my pocket! I don’t know what I was thinking keeping this old car in my driveway. It had sentimental value but was an eyesore to my neighbors, and the building department threatens to give me summons. Was the best deduction for my family, especially since parking is getting worse now I can park safely in my driveway at night. Hope this review helps someone.

  I hadn’t used this car in like 5 years. Some one told me I could get a ticket for it in the yard. The car was good, but commuting to Jersey everyday I have time for nothing. Traffic is crazy. I need Elon to come through with those underground tunnels here in NYC. Called these guys, and they picked it up. I didn’t get what they quoted because I did not have an original catalytic converter, but I still got something for it. They told me over the phone that would happen, but I had forgotten that they removed that thing years ago. A little bump in the road, but great service.

  Some bag rear ended my honda civic and promised she was going to pay for the damages. Had to sue. The case was so hard to fight because I didn’t go to the hospital or call the cops right there. I’ve got too many problems, I got rid of this thing. Got $225, but the car was going south anyway.

  My Subaru broke down on a street in Elmhurst. It took me an hour and a half to get my husband's car and wait outside the broken car. I was about to take a nap, after I parked my husband's car, and the driver called me. Very convenient. It was hard to find the address,but driver found me around me the corner. Thanks you!

  Nothing too fancy.. with this kind of service, u get a lot of companies who do the same thing. Sometimes though they don't..... they do NOT.... have their u know what together. I know Anthony 10 years, he's always got trucks to pick up my cars. most importantly, though.... he's got the space. I get alot of cars in my shop. He takes them all, no hassle, a little haggle haggle now and then, but we always do great business!!!

  My wheel popped on my Toyota cressida on the highway...... Oh, God. These guys said they could not pick it up because of a law. But the parts around the tire were all busted up anyway... so I drove it grinding my wheel off the xpress way... I don't know how I did it... I called them they picked it up a little bit away from the ramp and gave me a couple of bucks for a 1992... unbelievable.

  The person that answered the phone was straight up and honest about the price of my car. It wasn't a large amount, but after explaining to me that my car is over 15 years old and small, it made sense. Im just glad I can properly dispose my car. They told me I could fill my van with some electronic scrap I could only take to the dump, saved me the trip.

  I had a couple of abandoned trucks in the yard. Carmula yanked them out of yard with their flatbed. I thought I would have to inflate Tirez and help push them out. Nope!!! They hooked it with a metal line and pulled it out right on to the flatbed. I seriously wanted to pay them after all the work. But I got $200 and a headache out of my life. Great job.   I get garbage cars every week in my garage. Once people hear they have to put in $800 or more, they want to get rid of it. I tell them would you want a couple of hundred bucks instead.   I broke down on the LIE... I called these guys, and Anthony told me that his company could not pick me up on the highway... He got me in touch with a company that did highway work... The highway tow company offered to get me a couple of bucks for the car, but the guy was rude and he told me he could give me like $50 so I said nah and he dropped me off outside of the highway... I called Anthony back at Carmula, and he picked me up in I swear like 35 minutes. It was cold, and the alternator was out on the car. so glad his truck got me and paid me $150 for my 20 year old hooptie. Hope i never have to get in that type of situation again. But I would call them if I have to. Merry Christmas, Anthony and Frank that guy who took the car.

  Dropped off my car last year. Got a shot of Jack Daniels waiting for my receipt. These guys are a laugh and a half. They kept on cracking jokes on the dispatcher, who was really nice. Mya have been the Jack, but it was like i got Xmas started early hanging out there while I got my receipt.

  This company does not have their own drvers. They send a driver whom I waited for for 5 houers. At the end of the day the driver lied to me saying that his truck broke down and that he coul'd not do it. I would never call thic company in my life. They never even called me to apologize. They sound like a bounch of scamers on the phone.
