I ordered 2 items for delivery which I had not done before from Ace, and it worked out perfectly. It was delivered first thing in the morning the next day and placed exactly where I had requested. I was very pleased with the online order and delivery experience.
Pretty much get everything u may need here... I always tell people imagine if Home depot had cool niche things added and on the floor... and awesome customer service... Ace Hardware customer service is always top notch.
I NEVER write reviews but i just had to today. The employees at this Ace hardware were the NICEST and most HELPFUL people I have ever met. Lisa and Pete were just angels and i hope they have the best christmas!
I am writing to express my profound disappointment regarding a recent online purchase of an Ego electric shovel, picked up in-store. The packaging was visibly damaged and re-taped. Upon opening, the product itself displayed clear signs of prior use, including scratches on the shovel and battery, a peeling sticker, and a crumpled manual. Furthermore, I observed moisture inside, and no warranty paperwork was provided.
Selling a demonstrably used item as new is unacceptable and reflects poorly on your store's integrity. Consequently, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
I came to Baldwin for help with the cord which lights up my Christmas set. The person who helped me was very thorough and tried a number of was to get a connection. When that was unsuccessful, he explained to me what I needed, checked and found a place where I could get the part I needed and told me what to ask for. Because of his explanations and directions, I was able to get this obscure part at the other store and have now installed it! I am very grateful for the time hr spent and no longer worried about missing the Rockville Center store which closed.
The man who helped me get paint was extremely patient and helpful despite me being the horrible customer that comes in 10 minutes before close needing 8 cans of paint mixed. He didn't rush me, was kind enough to even get me a cart so I could bring the cans out to my car and stayed 10 minutes past closing! He was super helpful I wish I got his name but I hope he see this !!!
I highly recommend Ace Costella Hardware Store on Atlantic Avenue in Baldwin. This is a place where a customer can get personal attention immediately. Shoppers are busy, right? They had what i needed when i needed it. So many places within a 10 to 20 mile radius were failing miserably. Side not: Like any other place, the closer you get to closing, time less services are available, that just makes sense. Especially if peoples shift are over and they are the servicer. How about when you call, you also let them know at what time you will be there so they can answer with more accuracy. Be smart, not petty.
Was helped by Ron this evening concerning the programming of my 3 key fobs. He went above and beyond to help figure out the issue occuring with them and was successful in correcting it. His care, concern and determination to address the problem was top notch. All staff on shift during my time there were pleasant and willing to help. I will definitely be back!!!
Called up to have a key made they told me come in. They close at nine got there at 8:45. They told me no we don’t do keys this late but you still got 15 minutes left in the store I wouldn’t of ran out of my house to get over there if you’re just gonna have a store open and not have anybody do their job terrible service
Sales person by the name of Carter approached me and asked me if I needed help. He was so helpful because I would’ve bought the wrong materials. I really appreciated his help. This store is always very clean and neat and well stocked. cashiers are always efficient

This visit revolves around a kind employee and a much needed bathroom for my son. I have an 8 year old. When he has to go, he's got to go. I was driving with him and he had to pee. A gas station denied us a bathroom, CVS in Baldwin Harbor on Atlantic Ave denied us a bathroom and I yelled at them. So we walked into Ace. The employee said their bathroom was also down but that my son could use the employee bathroom. So I got my kid to the bathroom forever grateful to the Ace employee behind the counter. I don't know his name, but he deserves some kind of recognition and award for his kindness.
After my son used the restroom we looked around and I ended up buying a candy bar just to give the store some business in return for their kindness. The employee was also extra nice because he listened to my son prattle on about our bathroom saga lol

Although very convenient at times. Ace Hardware is extremely overpriced on most of there items.
Very limited on stock, especially the Baldwin store. Tool selection is a joke, unless you’re willing to settle with Milwalkee, there own brand, or the extremely limited and overpriced Craftsman line.
Takes forever for out of stock items to be back on the shelves, and I’m talking Months here. Nothing ever seems to be on sale, and the 3 items they do place on sale are always the same small 1/4 or 3/8 Craftsman socket sets... Pass Ace by.... And find the old fashioned Mom & Pop hardware store. The one on Atlantic Avenue in Freeport is really nice.
Never have stock advertised on website. Doesn't honor website prices. Argues that they aren't an Ace Hardware. This was inspired by an older male worker who has glasses and gray hair. Horrible costumer service by this worker. Due to him, I will no longer support this business. Home depot here I come. In his own words "I Don't Care"
