My husband went at 4:30pm. Their hours show they close at 5pm. As he was pulling in with bags of cans to return, the woman working came running to the door and locked it. She said she didnt have time to take the return because she had too much to do. He was forced to leave. Not a good look!
Arrived at one with a truck load of cans. The guy told me he doesn’t take truck loads, but if I wanted to wait till 2 when he got back from lunch he’d take 3 or 4 bags. I went to the return center in Johnstown and the girl working by herself gladly took all the cans.
I wish I could leave NO stars I agree with another reviewer in here that they do not count. He was counting by twos then fours then SIX I was like hmm that cannot be accurate. I come from a near by city where they are ALWAYS counting honestly and not screwing up and robbing people. I counted my bottles prior to coming here and counted right with him while he was doing it and he was so off. He handed me money for 337 bottles when I had over 400. And when I asked him about it he said they count them which is inaccurate. I don’t have a problem with receiving less money I have an issue with doing shady business and not being honest with people. That’s my issue. And then to lie about it .... sickening. He should find a different job if he doesn’t like counting. Will forever continue to go to Schenectady for my returns. Made a mistake coming here. Never again! :)
I've been going to this place for over a year and they are open on Mondays. I have had no problems from the staff. They count your bottles and give you your money in cash. They are cool workers and I feel respected and return my respect to them for the work they do. They are very nice people and they need to be treated with respect because they are cool people. No pressure, like visiting the marijuana dispensary in Massachusetts or going to a grateful dead concert. Give me your bottles, here's your money, have a nice day. Love it!
We use these guys all the time. Everyone is super nice. They work quickly!! Would highly recommend. The location is always very clean too. Keep up the great work.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR DONT BRING YOUR CANS HERE!!! I brought in well over $50 worth because while packing them I counted, the older guy was counting by 5, then by 2, then by 4, my boyfriend said he isn't even counting them to me, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt.. meanwhile next to me the young guy was counting some gentlemans cans who had not even near what I had and he got more money back!! With a whole suburban load, he then punched in random numbers and handed me $37.25, I said to him I counted them at home and stopped when I got up to $50 figured I had at least $60 worth..THEY ARE CROOKS!! Sad thing is I would've tipped them, but he literally robbed me and there was nothing I could do because it was too late
Edit: he also kept walking away and tending to other things, NEVER ONCE wrote anything down...next time I am going to count them and just see what happens
Very friendly staff. Make sure bringing back returnable s easy and quick. Sometimes a line, but they are quick and it's always nice to deal with real people instead of a machine.
