Horrible service, terrible attitudes and they destroy people cars after making them wait over 3 hrs for their car after they pay for it . The employees are disrespectful and unprofessional . They auction off cars before returning cars to the property owner.
pick u my car today 9/19/25 they messed up the whole right side of my car smh careless ppl when towing .. and they didn’t have my keys but some how got in my car in went through it and took the 50$ smh they steal to nasty work..
This company is the worst kept my BMW for a month after it was paid and did not fix anything.
dropped it off at my mechanic after it was supposed to be fixed pictures videos of everything.
I even have these guys on recording.
Don't worry I tried to give you guys a chance to fix it I'll see you in court..
And can you believe the city actually gave these guys a contract I think everybody should sue the city as well maybe they could take the contract from these guys and give it to someone else who will actually do a good job and take care of people cars .

Total scam! Once they got your car, they do as they please.
They are demanding cash or they won’t release the vehicle. You come here after paying the fees to the Finance Department and then they charge their own additional fees - additional storage and additional towing fees. Note this you already paid it but here they demand you to pay again, additionally and in cash

They are charging people extra when they come to pick up their vehicle. They demand cash and do as they please!
Additional fees: for storage $40 per day, garbage removal and ton of others. They wont let you drive your car out and they ask for another $150 to pull it out of the lot

on 22nd Aug 2025 they towed my car and i got it out on 25th. This was my car coming out of their yard. Left side all scratched and dented and right side has cracks and dents too! When asked, they just gives you a piece of paper and told me to send them a mail including photo... This is all sounds like bs

the hell with this place. they damaged my car cause they dont care. They need to be shut down and should never be allowed to tow another car again. The 2.4 Star Reviews is very telling.
Just picked up my car yesterday they towed it after booting it in less than 24 hrs and then someone stole my property. A PlayStation and clothes all in one bag. Crazy thing is they brought it up for me to get property out before I paid and knowing they stole my stuff didn’t bother to put it back and then I took a video of how they trashed and searched my middle console and glove compartment and threw my fathers obituary on the floor. I’m filing a complaint and suit against Ken Ben/Breen
I actually had a relatively fine experience here. I made my payment on the booting app, showed up the next day with my ID and keys, verified my info to them, they had me wait by the gate and bought my car out to me within minutes. I’ve read many other horror stories on here and if you're looking this place up, its likely your vehicle was already towed here, but please heed this as a warning guys. Pay your parking tickets or get on some sort of payment plan. You do not want to get your car booted and have it impounded. Fees are going to be tacked on almost constantly aslong as its there and its just a situation you don't want to be in.
They purposely list the wrong opening hours on the NYCbootpay website where they say they are open 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. when their actual operating hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 9 a.m. to Noon, they have not changed the operating hours on the NYCbootpay website because they want to extract extra cash from New Yorkers.
Damaged my car with improper towing! My car is a Hybrid model and should not have been towed from the back rather had to be placed on a flatbed. Transmission is damaged as well as my front hood. I filed a claim form they asked me to file and have not heard back from them. They keep giving me the run around to call back. Then they asked to call Breen Bros towing because they are the main headquarters still no response for them to fix my vehicle. Have been reaching out to them everyday to bring my car to fix with no success.
Update: horrible people and should be shut down. They did pay for a minor damage however they refuse to pay for the major damage they did to my vehicle.after my case closed with the DCWP I
Continued to experience an issue when driving. Took it back to the Hyundai dealer and they determined that they caused $6900 worth of damage to my transmission See you in court! This place needs to shut down!
The tow trucker hit an old lady with a walker and drove off! Lady probably died . He didn't even wait for the police to arrive (on Broadway!)

I have been at the lot since 9:30Am it is 3:27 currently while I am writing this I have been waiting to take my car and have a key made but they’re trying to extort me to buy and get a key made from them and wouldn’t let me get car off the lot meanwhile everybody got there’s off
Bunch of low life’s towing away peoples cars gave me my car back with a scratch on my bottom bumper and also with a popped tire after waiting for it for an hour and half ! Towed me to the tire shop after they won’t ever catch me slipping with tickets again !
Terrible company the staff are very rude..they make up prices and demand cash only, one of the employees said that they charge cash to pocket it as tip money they take home at end of day which is crazy to me. They damaged my vehicle and refuse to take accountability for it.. clearly didn’t handle my car with care. City needs to shut this company down pure fraudsters and scammers
I came there today Saturday march 8th to retrieve my vehicle. I gave the lady my retrieve document she told me i would have to pay by cash. She did not give me back my document and asked me to go to the atm. i walked 5 block in the cold with my 4 years old son to the ATM for me to come back and make payment. The lady has lost my document and lied to me that she gave it back to me

Worst ever auction I ever went to the auctioneer Arthur Vigar is very rude. Disgusting and paranoid. He kicked me out for no valid reason just told me you can’t be here today. I didn’t do anything. I was just looking at one of the vehicles if you’re ever looking to get a car from this place, I highly do not recommend will definitely be not coming again. This guy owes me a huge apology and I promise hundred more people he does too. I go to speak to him calmly. He tells me to get lost. This is not right. He has something against me and this is not the first time he has done this.
Very Un professional, Rude custumer service. They hold on to your vehicle for days and days . In that way the boot cost goes up.we went to NYC finance office and they said because the plates was out of state. The vehicle should have been towed within 24 hrs. We have been trying to pay and get it but the response form them was you should have paid your ticket and don't call us back
The worse place ever they took forever to bring my car out in when they did it looked like this the guy who drove it out jumped out before I could anything in said I only bring out the car I don’t tow so that wasn’t me who did that the guy in the window was a joke all he did was try flirting with me then tell he gonna see if they can send it to they they shop to bandage it up for now on the highway driving home the whole bumper fall off.. glad I got video of the staff talking video and pics from the time my car came out because they give u a paper for claim in the rude lady who handles it does nothing but disrespectful I’ll see them in court
Yes these people are doing their job but of course we are going to be upset with them because they towed us I'm guilty of that. Make your payment or payment plan go with your car keys and drivers license the lady at the window ain’t into pleasantries give her your license plate wait patiently and she’ll had you back you license with a smile and say wait by the gate. I don’t know how people come here and get into heated arguments with people that’s doing their job. Thankful my car was only there for a day went and got it no problem.
I think the impulse is to hate these guys because a car got towed. They were cool. I didn’t have any issues. I was ready to argue because of the other reviews, but yeah, idk man. if you’re not all fired up from being towed you’re probably going to have a fine experience - just gotta wait a lil bit but the city takes cars here so what can ya do really. I got a kick out of reading the reviews. Would LOVE to be towed here again. Please tow me again.
They did not have their hours posted till a few days ago(probably a few hours ago) I went all the way to their location for them to be closed so I was charged 2 extra days. On NYC. Gov it says they are open 24/7. Google said their business was permanently closed. When I told them that it is very inconvenient for them to not have their correct hours up, they just looked at me like I was stupid. How are ppl suppose to know when to come or when to call? But they will still charge ppl by the day. When I received my car it was damaged so MAKE SURE you check your car before you leave the lot. They ONLY take cash but of course they don’t tell you till you get there. Customer service is terrible. They find anyway to get more money out of you. And if you are attractive they will try to flirt as the clerk kept saying I was pretty and the other worker kept asking personal questions regarding my tattoos. They should be shut down
This towing company is a complete disaster, even without direct experience, just reading their reviews is enough to know they’re beyond unprofessional. Their responses are not only incoherent, but dripping with disrespect and arrogance. It’s like they don’t even care to form a proper sentence, let alone treat their customers with a shred of decency. They come across as a business that takes pride in being rude, sloppy, and utterly careless. I wouldn’t trust these people with a tricycle, let alone a car. Save yourself the trouble and stay far away from this joke of a company
Everyone at the tow place was nice to me. they even recommended where to go to get my documents faster and helped me put on my new plate. My issue is the city’s high ticket prices and incompetent system designed to take your money.
HORRIBLE ! I do not understand why the city gives unprofessional tow companies contracts with nyc dept of finance . They are rude unprofessional and they take hours to retrieve your vehicle . They told me that I had to give a ticket to a guy in a green shirt , while 7/8 employees walked around doing absolutely nothing . Then when I inquired about it they said only one person was taking the tickets and going through thousands of cars !! Meanwhile elderly clients wait in the rain .disgusting !!
