Extremely rude behavior faced today by an employee at this store.
The lady working here at shift 5 pm was constantly annoyed and rude to us. I don't know why. As a customer we don't deserve this kind of attitudes.
Disappointed first time in a Dollar General store.
Manager should look into this matter.
I shop here all the time, and generally have a good experience, and everyone is very pleasant except for the lady with the tattoos working the register.
I bought two frozen pizzas, and when I was about to eat one of the pizzas I discovered the cheese was sour. So I went back to return the uneaten pizza on 2/1/25 around 8:20pm.
I presented my receipt, and the pizza at the register, and told her that I was not satisfied with the merchandise, and would like to return it.
This employee started to give a nasty attitude, rolling her eyes, and talking rudely about me to the other employee.
She then asked the manager busy working at the next register if she should refund me, and was told to process my return as its within store policy. (The manager is very sweet, and professional by the way)
As this employee is handing me my money she laughs at me, looks at her co-worker and said "Oh you know how I am. If it was up to me, I wouldn't have given you the return."
I asked why not? She said "Because you already paid for it, and brought it home, if you don't like it too bad, but that's just my opinion."
I asked why are you being nasty to a customer like this? She responds "I don't believe that nonsense that the customer is always right, but like I said that's just my opinion".
I never even said the customer is always right, and I was not rude to her at all.
The entire interaction was soo bizarre.
Why is this woman in a customer service position, when she has a chip on her shoulder, and makes a point to make customers feel uncomfortble with her rude attitude?
I've never felt soo unwelcomed here before, and this was not the first time she's been rude. Also last week she got nasty with me when I asked for a bag for my items upon check out.
I wont be making any more purchases here if she is working the register. Maybe the stock room is a better position for her, far away from any customers.
I would like to make a complaint publicly to warn people about an employee named Cassidy or Chasidy… not sure she refused to give her name and wasn’t wearing a name tag. I was asking how to use the app and she completely disregarded me and cut me off insisting that it does not work at all. I proceeded to try and ask questions because this is 10$ off and why not ask for next time. She told me that the coupon would not work right away and that it was too late to add it. How is it too late if I did not pay? Why not just tell me that it takes 5 minutes to register in the system? Why are you yelling at me for asking questions politely? Disgusting. The entire line was in disbelief with her nasty attitude. She canceled our transaction and took the next customer and proceeded to yell her managers name, she did not tell him about what happened and instead had him swipe for the cancellation of the transaction. And had us looking stupid on the side. I had to find the manager and insisted for him to ring us up because I was not in the mood for conflict and the coupon indeed did work she was just too lazy to put it in, I will be filing a report with corporate!
very bad experience, the staff is very bad, the cashier who attended me did not respect the prices he had or the offers shown. They should give their opinion since they do not want to return since it is the truth, very bad experience, and no dollars in general, so I went to two others and the staff took very good care of customers. personally the staff of 2027 Utica Av is bad.
I love this location! Super organized and clean, workers are helpful. Items are fully stocked in each isle & they have great bargains.
Street parking is a little tight (meters only) but I do not mind being that this location has so much to offer
This is the BEST Dollar General!! When you walk in the door, someone always says "Welcome to Dollar General - how are you today?". Everyone is friendly, kind and helpful. It's such a joy to shop there!!
Parking isn't the best because it is located on Utica Ave but, store definitely has many deals, lots of store associates to help with needs and wants and a price scanner to check item prices.
Since DG has changed from being Family Dollar, the customer service is great!!!! I am a stickler for good customer service. Their inventory is good too & they definitely try to ensure the shelves are stocked & neat.
Surprisingly this location has great service, I don't think I've ever walking in and haven't recieved a greeting. Store is kept very well.. clean, neat organized and usually well stocked. Cashiers always give small talk and make you feel welcomed. Service oriented staffs are rarely seen these days. This should be a store for training becuase this staff gets it... hence why I choose to shop here rather then other similar retailers.
RACIAL PROFILING !!!!! WORKERS MAKE YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE WHILE SHOPPING BY COMING INTO THE SAME AISLE THAT YOU ARE IN AND ACT LIKE THEY ARE FIXING STUFF! I GO TO ANOTHER AISLE AND HE DOES THE SAME THING AGAIN. AND IN A STORE FULL OF PEOPLE I AM THE ONLY ONE THEY COME TO ASKING IF I NEED HELP WITH ANYTHING. I like the store they have nice things at reasonable prices but it’s upsets me that I can’t shop without being harassed . Will be making a complaint to corporate about this store.
AT THIS STORE THE SALES PEOPLE ARE NICE AND THE PRICES ARE GREAT. I LIKE THE DIGITAL COUPONS FROM THE DOLLAR GENERAL APP IT'S WORTH DOWNLOADING. I DO RECOMMEND THIS STORE TO OTHERS FOR SHOPPING AT.
Not as good as Family Dollar but still a good selection of items. They are more expensive than FD but not by a lot. I was looking for a curtain rod and was a little surprised that they didn't have any. You would think if you sell curtains you would sell rods. When you walk in, someone always says hello.....loud enough to make sure you heard lol. If you go in around 8, which I'm guessing they close at 9, you might get some side eye. The other thing I didn't care for was that an employee was there who was talking so loudly, and using extremely foul language. I couldn't tell if she was on the phone or talking to a fellow co-worker about people being in jail to sex to I don't know what. They could do better as far as the employees. You can't find anyone in the aisles to ask a question. They cluster up and whisper in the aisles or walk past you like you're invisible.
Great store for all your needs! Always clean and organized and the staff is super friendly, they always greet you when you go in and when you leave the store.
Good variety of can foods, frozen food, house-kitchen items, some beauty makeup, few pet food and supplies, few linens - towels, blankets, some toys, season decorations, greeting cards, school supplies, candies and chips. This location has very courteous and helpful staff. Also is always well organized, neat and clean.
Dollar General good place to get great bargains, they had an special on thanks giving day that I for a fact can tell you that it was great, Castrol motor oil quart I got it for half the price of what it cost me in auto zone the day before.
It was pretty big nice and clean prices are ok but not all items are a dollar some stuff you can get at a dollar tree but this the next best spot.the workers are so nice bubbly and they great you as soon as you enter and helpful so yes i recommended this store.
This is a really good store. Prices are very reasonable compared to Walgreens, CVS, Rite aid any other discount store. But this isn't a 99¢ store but just good enough. No it's actually better because they sell brand name items.
