Have been going to Ace Lumber at this location for years it's like going to a family store to buy goods. Everyone is friendly and very helpful and I love the new look.
Nice store. Friendly helpful personal good choice of stuff I need. only problems they don’t do price matching with other networks. Prices higher than other places , but still reasonable.
This is NOT an ACE Hardware store despite having an official ACE Hardware signage.. i find that misleading however, New York Lumber would most likely have whatever you’re looking for at ACE. This place also lists ACE official website but is not listed on their Store Locator in case you’re ordering online for pick up in store.
The people there at first aren't newbie friendly but depends on who are you seeing, they are courteous and kind, in the end, you get what you're looking for, the entrance is hidden on the side making it really difficult to find it, signs do point the way, clearly they need to redo the entrance or reduce clutter on the sopposed main entrance. Stock there are in abundance only if you're picking materials for construction, everything else, is I'd say 4 out of 5 you'll find what you're looking for, better alternative than the average hardware store. Kind of like a mini home depot.
I went to this store to purchase a garbage can lid and just as advertised they had it for reasonable price plus NY taxes. Cashier was helpful and nice. I would definitely shop there again.
It's a good facility to get to your lumber and other supplies in Brooklyn. It is located on Utica Avenue between Rutland Road and Winthrop Street. Accessible via B46 local and select buses.
This is my go-to spot for larger items that need to be delivered (sheet rock, plywood, etc). They will deliver the same day most of the time. Their prices are reasonable and it beats physically going to HD and standing in line.
Great local place with friendly staff that is always willing to help you out.
They even cut doors and the door handle holes (additional fee) to your measurements which is a plus.

This has been my local and primary hardware store for over five years. The staff is super knowledgeable, and they go above and beyond! I come here for apartment repairs, home improvement, and even art projects. The team that cuts the lumber is very helpful, and they always go the extra mile. The prices are reasonable, so I’d always rather come here than shop online. I appreciate the location and the staff so much!
I found something online that said was in the dtore. When I took a long walk to the store, I found out that they didn't have the item I wanted n would have to order it. Truly was disappointed, but I can't blame the store, just the online app or menu.
The staff who work here were very helpful it was difficult to find paint and when I asked the cashier who was busy with other customers she found someone to lead me to where the white paint were located promptly.
I had an exceptional first time experience coming here to do some home improvement shopping.
I usual find the item I am looking for. If I need assistance I could easily find a representative to assist me. I knew what I wanted today and I knew which isle it was in and there were plenty available. The cashiers were friendly and always say, "Have a nice day." They have a stack of their sales paper in the front of the store near the register which is convenient. Most of the items on sale are in the front or outside by the entrance. There are many different piles of lumber to choose from. You just need the measurement and the lumber is cut right there for you. They also have parking.
I love this place. As an avid DIYer, I love walking in there, and asking for scraps of wood for my latest project. Always very helpful and good prices.
These guys always have what I need, and are really helpful! I needed lumber cut to sizes and the did it with no problems, also got a lift for me and my bike with the delivery guy! My go to spot from Crown Heights.
