New to New York and Sharon (I think) in specialty was extremely rude. I am a fellow Whole Foods employee in another state and my store would NEVER have someone that rude working for them “there’s a wine store across the street I’m not sure why you wouldn’t check there, welcome to New York”. Okay lady

The parking lot is crazy so I rarely go. So many small businesses in the area like KY fruit or paisano that are better.

The Amazon Return counter is out of control. After waiting for more than 10 min for the rep to service a single customer, I gave the automated kiosk a try. After struggling with it for another 5 min it was finally my turn in line, I was next. The rep refused to service me, stating that if I started the kiosk I have no right to human help. When I stated that I was not aware of such a ridiculous rule and since it was not written anywhere it was non sense. She obnoxiously took the next customer as I was standing with my unprocessed returns. When I asked her to show me where that rule is in writing she pointed to the start of then but no such notice was there. When I told her that I would complain she took her name tag and hid it. When I left negative feedback on the monitor for her being rude she obnoxiously took it off the counter and hid it.
She power tripped and called security, who were admittedly very professional. I called her behavior as I saw it - plain RACIST. The manager Akeem came to try to resolve the issue but by then I managed through. He tried to apologize for her behavior but that’s not acceptable either. There is no one responsible for the Amazon returns at the store!
Now I am concerned whether the rep will tamper with my returns. I will closely monitor that I get a refund because this one is spiteful.
This instance is recorded on the corner camera Monday, January 12 timeframe 8:45-9pm.Jan 13, 2026 -
Lauren is an exceptional cashier I do not live in Williamsburg but I stopped by this whole food to pick up some stuff and she greeted me with the best smile and customer service. She packed my bags neatly as we had a calm chat. She is wonderful. 10/10 service

Ordered groceries from here and the chicken smelled so bad we had to throw it out. A couple weeks later I went to try and get oatmilk, turns out the seal wasn’t on all the way and it was spoiled. Whole Foods doesn’t allow ordered groceries to be returned anymore online so that was a bummer.

Hi WF, so thankful you all moved into the neighborhood, I shop here on a regular basis, so nice and close to my apartment. Always with fresh products and friendly staff which is much appreciated. Although I do love dogs, my only concern is the increasing number of non service animals so near the hot foods bar, please regulate this a little better. Other than that, thank you all and hard working staff!

I have to ask staff weekly to stock the 365 unsweetened soy milk. Even so, I often leave the store without soy milk, meaning I have to go somewhere else to buy basic necessities. They don't stock it routinely even if it is in the back, and they don't stay on top of their inventory demand par levels. You would think an empty shelf would be a signal to restock....but the basics of running a supermarket seem to be beyond the capabilities of the staff here.

I had an uncomfortable experience at this Whole Foods. While using the self-checkout, both a checkout assistant and a security guard followed my sister and me and watched us scan our items. They did not do this to any other guests, which made us feel singled out and uncomfortable.
We went to customer service to speak with a manager, Steven, who took a while to arrive. When he did, he seemed disinterested and merely said he would “watch the cameras later and talk to them if he sees something weird,” then walked away without addressing our concerns.
Ultimately, we asked the customer service team member to return our items because the situation was so ridiculous. This experience was highly disappointing and not how any customer should feel while shopping.Dec 27, 2025 -
Do NOT eat from the soup bar or get their market plates (served from the deli, not self serve). My boyfriend and I are both violently ill with food poisoning. The market plate was cold and the soup had an off taste. I’m going to vomit just reliving this.
I’d go back and ask for a refund but I literally cannot move from my bed. Just don’t do it.Dec 16, 2025 -
The store is clean. Well organized and almost always well stocked.
I do have a problem with the Whole Foods shady practice. One example is the mushroom. The portion that’s planted, I believe is called the substrate. That part is very heavy and not edible. Huge pieces are left on them and we pay for that.
Another and more recent example is the asparagus. They leave a big portion of the woody stems on. The asparagus weigh more. This is so unfair to the consumer. I posted the picture for all to see.
I feel taken advantage of by this companyDec 05, 2025 -
The store is clean and well-organized, but you really have to pay attention at the register. There’s a sign that says sweet potatoes are $1.99/lb, yet the last time I shopped, I noticed I was charged $2.99/lb. This time I made sure to mention the sale, and the cashier asked me to take a picture of the sign. I did, and she gave me the sale price. I want to thank the cashier for her kindness and patience.

This is a terrible Whole Foods . The seating area is tiny and always filthy . The Store Presentation is Corporate greed and unfriendly to The customer . They smooshed The tiny seating area together with The Legions of Amazon Returns . Now they completely took out that tiny seating for Their Thanksgiving orders . The register area upstairs is always chaotic because it is very poorly executed ; The set up is completely nonsensical. Downstairs is a complete disaster. No employees actually working on The Floor just Amazon workers bumping into actual in store customers to fill their out of store orders , it’s beyond ridiculous. They are regularly out of stock of simple items such as an organic salad . The Juice bar is shut down and out of stock of items 4 out of 5 attempts and you can’t even substitute, so how they are constantly out of ingredients, is obvious that it was never ordered or stocked . Downstairs is actually spacious but there is no large signage layout or staff helping customers to see where everything is . Overall The Merchandising of The store creates a very confusing shopping experience .
Having to search for a staff member to
Ask a question , which they usually don’t know . Is not at all meeting a single expectation of the price points of Whole Foods . Do better.Nov 17, 2025 -
So, I don’t directly have an issue with whole foods in itself but that location has no way for someone with a stroller to get downstairs to the actual grocery store. I was sent to go to an elevator that took me to the parking lot, not to the lower shopping level. So, now I only go there for Amazon returns which, they do a great job at.

Hot bar- the food from Whole Foods hot bar used to be of great quality. Today i discovered is not the case anymore. I had the most bland, flavorless, under seasoned food I’ve had in a while. Not recommended at all.

Best food market in the entire city. The location itself is in a very safe area. The staff are very professional and really helpful. They treat you as though your the owner. Every question I ask the staff I am met with respect courtesy and they always know what I want and where to find it. Whole food market and it staff get a five star from me and my family. The staff is so helpful please don't let them go.

Arguably the busiest Whole Foods we have ever visited. Goes to show just how long I will wait online for those little red sweet peppers they sell here in the fresh olive area.

Additional notes: I have the lettuce still in the vegetable drawer in the refrigerator and it’s still nice after I got rid of bad pieces. That means the store doesn’t take care of how to store lettuces correctly with proper way or temperature.
And the store asked me to claim to their website and I clicked it but it’ll take time to claim so I won’t. They don’t care about my time.
Yesterday I bought an organic lettuce which wasn’t that good already but all of the lettuce in the shelf was worse or like this! I wish workers check temperature of the refrigerator because probably it’s too cold lettuce. Also they should check vegetables’ quality and respect customers’ feelings!Sep 30, 2025 -
Be careful buying their packaged bread and tortillas. (Which you would think would not be an issue.) I've had both get mold very soon after purchase. And they would not refund.

Overall this particular Whole Foods is probably among the good ones in New York and the selection is fairly wide. The selection is hard to compare to European supermarkets though

This Whole Foods consistently runs out of items to the point I started using Farm To People for most of my groceries. Organic Cucumbers, Jenny’s Organic Unsweetened Soy Milk, Organic Pasture Raised Eggs, Organic Kale consistently out or not stocked. The grab and go + cooked items are abysmal and taste depressing.

I recently purchased fresh salmon from the seafood counter at Whole Foods on Bedford Avenue & froze it right away. Today, after thawing it in the fridge, I was shocked to find that part of it was rotten & had a terrible smell. When I called customer service, the supervisor dismissed my concerns & flatly stated that their new policy doesn’t allow refunds or store credits for items bought more than 30 days ago. Frustrated, I contacted corporate, only to receive the same unhelpful response. As a loyal customer, this was incredibly disappointing. I no longer trust the freshness of their seafood & won’t be buying from their butcher again. Between the questionable quality & the lack of customer care, I’d suggest shopping elsewhere. Buyers beware!

Great selection of gluten free foods - also good selection of farmer’s market esque produce, love the mushroom packs! Typically busy but a pleasant shopping experience after 8pm on any day of the week

This whole foods can get crazy busy in the evening! So plan your shopping accordingly. The goods are excellent and there is a lot of options for shopping. The return process is pretty easy!

Whole Foods is a great high end market for hard to find produce. The price reflects the scarcity of these fruits but the price is worth the quality.

Excellent meat, seafood, imported cheeses, deli and organic produce. They have one of the best selections of fresh flowers and seasonal plants in Williamsburg - and at a good value. Their beauty, vitamin and dry goods selections are also impressive, although lacking many ethnic and international staples. The coffee bar just re-opened at the Bedford Ave door.
The quantity of employees picking here for the free, two hour Amazon delivery service sadly distracts from the in-store shopping experience. It already was insanely busy when it was just a grocery store - before Amazon turned it into a e-commerce warehouse as well. Otherwise 5 stars.
To avoid the lines and crowds, go weekday mornings, if you can.Jan 05, 2021 -
This Whole Foods Market Williamsburg features local food.
On the ground floor, local breads are placed on the showcase. You can choose it and eat it at the table on the ground floor.
You can buy coffee at the counter.
The grocery store is on the first basement floor.
There are so many local foods, beers, and so on.
You will enjoy walking and seeing around the floor!
And, I recommend you to buy the original Tote bag of this Whole Foods Market Williamsburg.
This tote bag is made of "Brooklyn Jeans"!
This is very cool, and very usable.
But this tote bag maybe limited edition, so you had better confirming whether it is sold out.Sep 02, 2019 -
Oh em gee!!! After the merge with Amazon, prices got so much better!!! Honestly, the only thing that shooed me away from Whole Foods was prices. But not anymore! Amazon Prime members get extra 10% off all sales items. And there’s always a separate section called Prime deals in which you can get a really good deal such as 10 bars of organic soap for $10. It would’ve costed $25 if you don’t have Prime membership! Great selection of fresh meat, fish and seafood. And there’s cheese selection is to die for. There’s hot meals counters and salad bar is also very appetizing. I’ll definitely come back!!!

This Whole Foods is thoughtfully curated given the space it occupies. With so much foot traffic, the tap room is a nice touch! Staff are very helpful to give customers a lay of the land - just ask.
