Use to be very affordable. Prices have gone up no rewards program or discounts offered on food not worth shopping here anymore since we now have more shopping options in the neighborhood

Wegmans is a large, well-organized supermarket offering a wide variety of fresh produce, groceries, and specialty items. The store is clean, easy to navigate, and provides an enjoyable shopping experience. Staff are friendly and helpful, making it a reliable choice for quality products and everyday essentials.

Had a horrible day wanted to exchange something wasn’t able to because I didn’t have the Physical items but had the receipt they have camera that proves I brought stuff. All I wanted to do was exchange the payment but wasn’t unable to because of the policy.

Great store, with a very friendly helpful staff. Found everything I needed in there. I really like how they take care of their food and package it, they do I very professionally and ensures it will stay fresh the longest it can

$350+ worth of groceries, surly female check out person didn't help bag our groceries, I was left to deal with trying to bag them all myself and pay at the same time. Then she didn't wait until all my paid items were bagged before she started throwing the next customers groceries on top of mine. Should've gone to Trader Joe's, which is less expensive and the cashiers are way nicer and expertly bag your groceries!!!

A Ten-Star Rave for Wegman’s Food Store!
If I could only give this place 10-Plus Stars I would!
This place is phenomenal! Wegman's is the King & Queen of Food Grocers here in New York City! I give Wegmans an AAAAA+++++ when it comes to their quality and selection in the Meat section!
Wegman’s Food Store deserves every bit of praise for their incredible selection and prices that are more than affordable for every New Yorker. Whether you’re part of the working class or the middle class, you can easily take home healthy, authentic organic groceries from Wegman’s!
I must highlight the fantastic hospitality from the employees—they were exceptionally friendly, outgoing, and incredibly helpful.
I was even happier to discover that membership is free and that they offer grocery delivery at no extra cost. Plus, their prices remain the same whether you're shopping in person or online, unlike big chains like BJ’s and Costco, which often charge more for online orders, regardless of whether you’re using Instacart.
Wegman’s boasts an impressive assortment of fresh baked goods, breads, cookies, cakes, and mouthwatering lavishing pastries that will satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth. Pure decadence folks!
I strongly recommend shopping at Wegman’s, where you’ll find fair prices, like a dozen eggs as low as $2.99, oh yeah! without the worry of “price gouging.” Unlike other stores such as Food Town, C-Town, Key Foods, Fairway, Stop & Shop, Wholesome Farms Market, Whole Foods, and West Side Market.
Wegman’s truly stands out! If you're in the business of getting more bang for your bucks come here you will be a happier customer hands down!!!!Dec 24, 2025 -
I've ordered here numerous times since they arrived in Brooklyn. Everything used to be top-notch, until the last couple of months or so. Produce in particular have been sub-par.
Their sweet potatoes(organic and regular) are dried out, tough to chew, no matter how long you cook them for, and some are soft and rotting immediately out of the bag.
Their bags of gala apples which are shown as red, are greenish-red, with a heavy coating of wax on them. Seems like they are using chemicals to turn them red, and not all of them "made the cut" but were still bagged.
I've even had expired pork ribs delivered one time, a few months ago. The store did refund me for those items, after I sent photos with the items and barcodes for verification.
Because I order through UberEats, there's not much I can do other than throw out the bad items, which is happening more and more as of late. My thinking is if I request refunds through the app with the frequency in which I get bad products, they may think I'm trying ro scam them. They won't belive that this is happening as regularly as claimed.
I'll give them another chance or two before I throw in the towel. Wegmans, please up your quality control game. Thank you!Dec 07, 2025 -
I love their coffee. Prices not so cheap. Foods' displays are so tasty with all these cheese plates and other. I wanna buy all. Here is so beautiful and nice atmosphere. Staff is professional and caring!

I disagree, I have a license plate on my motorcycle, I come to the store to eat and I leave, I find a fine, I do not know why they put this paper on me.

in concert with changing the store layout in March/April of 2025 to a completely nonsensical order, the experience here has been vastly diminished.
new layout is very much giving 'recent MBA asks chatgpt to design an optimal layout'
there are still massive blanks in the freezer section and all the special diet frozen foods are moved to little dingy bodega freezers, the alcohol is now in the farthest, darkest corner with most of the items stacked unrefrigerated in cramped piles.
at the corporate level, it seems massive swaths of vegan options were quietly discontinued including the Wegmans brand plant cheese and meat options, while at this store they've randomly distributed the vegan options to separate and still mislabeled sections.
the produce here has never been top tier, either for price or quality but the draw was definitely the standard, well stocked supermarket experience with well priced quality store brand options; but with local management regressing into a cramped and random layout and corporate discontinuing items that seemed to be popular enough they'd be out of stock by late evenings on the weekends I've begun to rely far less on Wegmans for my grocery rotations.
unclear who/what the change was in early 2025 but it's time to undo it - just literally put things back where they were and if products are to be discontinued at least have the courtesy of putting up a noticeNov 22, 2025 -
You just can’t go wrong here, great selection of fresh food, nice atmosphere and lounge upstairs. This is by far one of our favorite places to shop for food in Brooklyn. Highly recommend!!!

What happened to this place? I used to work down the block and came here for lunch all the time. There were healthy vegan/veggie options in the food bar. So much good stuff. No more! Just chicken wings and potato wedges. Not even a veggie bibimpabap bowl. Nothing. There are like 5 food areas and they all have almost nothing but fried chicken in various forms. I used to go in for “one thing” and spend $100. I bought nothing this time. So disappointing. This used to be a great store and lunch option in the area.

Staff is so helpful and polite, place is clean, can get very busy during lunch. LOTS of to-go orders flying around. Sandwich station is my favorite. Everything is fresh. Its a must visit.

I loved shopping here since it opened because they offer a normal grocery store experience in Brooklyn where you don’t often get that. However, the instacart people have gotten out of hand and are wrecking it for those of us who do our own shopping. It is nearly impossible to get around and down the aisles now; they block everything and have no regard for space. I got run into by an instacart guy this week and then cut off by multiple others just trying to do my shopping. Management/owners should really take notice of how frustrating the instacart shopper behavior is. It makes me not want to come here anymore.

We have been going to the Brooklyn store since it opened and it has gone steadily downhill. Prices have gone up considerably but the checkout situation is horrendous. I was trying to let the manager know and she just walked by me and said thank you for your patience. This is not the fault of the cashier but the managers. One manager was bagging while the other was running back and forth doing seemingly nothing. They never seem to have enough cashiers and no one is paying attention to the flow. With all the competition in the neighborhood one would think they would be a bit kinder to their customers. Probably won't go back anytime soon.

1st time Wegman shopper and pleasantly surprised at the great variety. I'll definitely stop in when nearby. Lots of options and great quantities.
Price is in line with what you would get from Trader Joe's or Aldi for the most part, at least based on the purchases I made. If I had more time I would have explored more of the warehouse sized grocery store...most grocery stores are a fraction of the size.Apr 30, 2025 -
Ruined by hoards of instacart shoppers frantically dashing around everywhere creating a less than pleasant atmosphere and limited or no stock in many places.
Meat and cheese selection was solid and I’ve given a star back to them in my review score for the cart wipes at the entrance. Clean throughout the whole store, so credit where it’s due.Mar 23, 2025 -
The best local option for food shopping by far.
The choice is fantastic, there are many items within each category to choose from, and lots of amazing surprises too - the live lobster tank, dry aged beef cuts, the oyster selection, to name a few. Love it here.
You also get a great selection of food to go - there's an Asian bar, wings and fries, soups, sandwiches, pizza, salads, hot chicken, sushi, and ready meals. You can take it upstairs and sit in Comfort to eat, too - the seating area is large and there's sofas as well as proper dining tables. Cutlery is downstairs, sauces and napkins upstairs, as well as toiletsFeb 27, 2024 -
My only complaint is that there is only 1 location-based in NY so far. I took a train & bus just to come to Brooklyn navyyard and shop at this place. It's clean, spacious with amazing prices especially on seafood. Also have a huge plant base section of that is your vibe. Plus if you drive there is a huge and I do mean Huge parking lot. There is also a water taxi near by. A small outdoor seating spot. Now the sushi could be better! The rice is too soft and makes the roll to fall apart. Excellent selection of prepared cooked foods as well. A decent beer selection & tasty bakery.
I purchased a month worth of groceries and took a cab home.Aug 21, 2022 -
My daughter got me jazzed up about this store over a period of a year. When I finally visited her in September 2021, we went there together. I should preface this by saying we walked nearly 13 miles that day, including on the Lower East Side, Greenpoint, Williamsburg, and finally to the Brooklyn Navy Yard and it was quite hot and sunny. By the time we arrived, both of us were parched and hungry. I guess I'm just jaded living in suburban Chicago because I have my choice of an abundance of smaller European stores and massive grocery stores with everything you could possibly want.
I was somewhat impressed with the ready-made food section but I can't say the prices were good. My daughter got Sushi and I ended up with a chicken sandwich. The buzzer they gave me didn't work and I had to venture inside multiple times to see if my sandwich was ready. Finally, after about 30 minutes, the bag was waiting at the counter. I didn't care for the outdoor dining area - too close to the sidewalk and we were on top of the narrow little entrance, so people were walking too close to our table. This is the age of COVID after all, so I tried to social distance as much as possible on my visit.
The meat, seafood, and cheese selection was somewhat impressive and the produce looked nice, but the dry grocery section was nothing special. To be honest, the entire experience was anti-climatic.Sep 28, 2021 -
Wegmans in Brooklyn: more proof that Brooklyn is the superior borough. The store is massive with oodles of parking. Free parking! Packed with all the wonderful items you would find at a Wegmans out in the ‘burbs plus a few local specialty items. The seating area has partitions to keep diners (and employees) safe- something not available at other locations. If you are not familiar with Wegmans, here the scoop: it has pretty much everything any supermarket would have but much more. Flowers, alcohol, hot fresh pizza, custom-made sandwiches, sushi, vitamins, and a bakery with some of the best baked goods you will ever find in a supermarket, or anywhere.

Very trendy. Food is very fresh. Prices are okay. Lots of variety including cheeses, seafood, baked goods. Great atmosphere. Workers were all friendly. Bathrooms are upstairs. Lots of free samples. Floors could be cleaner. Red bananas, from all over the world. Check out lines should have been made wider.

Pretty nice wegmans, very big and open. With also good prices compared to other grocery store that look to be at the same caliber. Friendly staff like usual if you've gone to a wegmans before. Bathroom is on the 2nd floor with the sitting area.

Wow wow wow! I'm so impressed with this super duper market. First off, it's huge. Prices ranged from budget friendly products to expensive specialty items. I was able to find things for every conceivably dietary need. And lot of great fully cooked chef quality prepared meals and ingredients. The employees were super friendly and knowledgeable. Decent amount of parking. And the checkout was painless. I will definitely shop here again.

When I was a child, I went to Wegmans in Buffalo. 50 years ago. To see Wegmans in Brooklyn is pretty cool. The obvious competition is Whole Foods and Fairway. Fairway has been my all time favorite for many years. Upon Entering Wegmans you are cast into "their" store with food stops for ready to eat foods , like pizza, Hamburgers, Sushi, and a pretty good hot bar with a whole assortment of hot wings. Adjoining and upstairs there are places to eat this food. It is done a lot differently than the competitions hot bars. Then comes their baked goods like cookies etc staring you in the face and they are pretty good. There is a good meat market with locally grown beef, etc in air tight bags and also a small meat counter. There is a bakery, Fish market and chicken. The deli is pretty cool. They have set out to create their own experience. Now where did the center iles go... they are off some distance to the far end of the store. It is like they don't want you to see those items before you get most of your shopping done. Not a bad idea. Wegmans have a lot of Branded products. My favorite is their sparkling white grape juice made from Niagara Grapes. There is a lot of parking. The prices are right along their competition. Bottom line is Wegmans is a really nice store. Each of the three stores has their strong points and all are a fun place to shop. Welcome to Brooklyn

The Wegmans store is a beautiful one everything is put out very nicely and it's a pleasure to go in there and to see it however they are not cheap as they portray themselves. In fact they are expensive if it's not on sale then it's not cheap they are a cross between a Whole Foods and a Trader Joe's however Trader Joe's has a lot better prices. Being a kosher consumer and the store being in a Jewish neighborhood I expected to find more kosher products however it was very limited ShopRite and Trader Joe's has way more kosher products than they do. It was an experience which we enjoyed my wife and I but we will not be going back there because it doesn't pay to make the trip. I must note that their staff are very helpful and courteous.

It's a nice store and they have a lot of variety, but it's crazy expensive. The classic burger and the maple onion burger were fantastic, although the fried chicken sandwich was just average. I will probably shop here for special occasions or if I want to pick up some prepared food, but the prices were way too high for daily shopping.

Waited a few days and went early to get a look and do some shopping. As to be expected, the store is immaculate, everything is picture perfect. Staff was helpful and warm (hopefully this continues, it's one of my biggest factors in returning to a grocery store.) lots of product including plenty of organic, gluten free & vegan. HUGE space, felt like a suburban grocery store. Prices were competitive, looking forward to trying some of the food from the burger bar and other options cooked on site! Definitely worth a visit.

The place is huge compared to other grocery stores in Manhattan. The aisles wide and items are all well stocked. One can find almost anything here. What I loved seeing was smiling and helpful staff all around the store. I visited during the opening week, so I hope that enthusiasm lasts.

Went on opening day it’s a great place to shop for everyone. Expect large crowds at least for a couple of weeks. I noticed they have such a large selection of gluten free and other items that I feel, someone with different dietary needs may be able to find. It was wonderful to see Danny Wegman himself meeting and greeting customers. There is so much variety with different types of fruits/veggies and items it’s definitely an experience. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. It was nice to see Wegmans giving reusable bags to people for their groceries. Everything was fresh, from the baked goods to the sushi and the delicious burger and pizza bar. I am really excited that Wegmans came to Brooklyn. Looking forward to coming here again.
