They were the third mechanic I tried after two other shops gave me very high estimates and still didn’t identify what was wrong with my car. When I walked into Angel’s shop, I wasn’t expecting much—I was just hoping someone could finally diagnose the real problem. The shop was clearly very busy. Cars were coming and going, phones were ringing, and the mechanics were working nonstop. Even with everything happening around him, Angel took the time to really listen to me. He asked a few direct questions, reviewed the details, and quickly identified the issue the other shops had missed. He explained it clearly and provided an honest estimate that was much lower than the others I had received. While I was there, a few customers stopped in to pick up their cars, and we ended up chatting. Angel is the best mechanic you will find anywhere. He is honest, hardworking, talented, and cares about each and every one of his customers. Especially as a woman who has dealt with a lot of mechanics trying to scam me, I will never go anywhere else.
I had Toyota 2019 relatively low mileage highlander and Angel gave me best price and best service and repair and diagnosed the problem correctly it was Toyota bad design in which they made utter garbage transmission called UA80F and that has active class action lawsuit. Many shops did not diagnose correctly what was wrong including the utter garbage Toyota dealer on Nostrand ave but Angel and his technicians did. Solution replace transmission fluid at 15k miles. Highly recommended shop for their professional work and timely repair and kindness A++++
Angel and team are a delight to work with and I couldn’t be happier with the work I got done from Angel’s. They quickly found the problem with my car (that previous mechanics missed), was extremely clear on what needed repairs and why, and gave me a very fair upfront estimate.
I can’t say enough about Angel’s honesty and professionalism— he recommended only the repairs that were truly needed and even showed me the issue before ordering any new parts so I could see the issue for myself.

Had my AC converted by them and they did it so badly and completely incorrectly that while driving my car the ac completely stopped working and was shooting metal pieces into the air compressor so I had to take it to another mechanic and spend over $1000 to get all of it fixed. 10/10 do not recommend this place. They charged me over 400 for bad work.
Angel Auto is my go-to. They are very busy for good reason, they do great work but don't expect it soon because they are backed up so call ahead to make sure they can make time for you. Update: They don't do wiring or electrical. In four separate instances they completely screwed up wiring and electrical repairs. But great for anything mechanical!
Last summer no a/c in my 2003 Ford Explorer..this year, went to Angel Auto Repair & Transmissions..this heat wave is non-existent when i am in my truck now!! Professionalism at it’s finest!!
Angel and his crew are some of the most passionate mechanics I’ve come across and definitely gave an old school feeling of community my hometown of Greenpoint has been lacking for a decade or so. Freeing seized OEM exhaust manifold bolts with 200k miles on them may as well be open heart surgery, but his skilled team rolled up their sleeves and went at it. The New headers look and sound amazing , I will be coming here for all things I can’t handle for sure!
Absolutely amazing!!! So friendly and honest and reasonable about price! Did not try and scam me as a woman, unlike other shops in the area! Came with my own parts, head lights and bumper install, $175! And I walked in!
They even show you and let you watch. Honestly amazing work! Even gave recommendations to help you out to find other parts! Charlie and Angel, are outstanding. The other staff were friendly as well! So happy to have found this gem of an auto shop!

10/10 experience with Angel. After a criminal experience at the Audi dealership with insane labor charges and price estimates, Angel replaced my tires and brakes as well as fixed my trunk sensor in just two days at a fraction of the price.
Angel did the work fast, cheaper and did a complete solid job. He's my Go-to for my Mercedes. I don't trust anyone else especially in Brooklyn. He even held my car for me for several days. Thanks Angel!!
If I can give negative zero starts I would , believe every bad review you see !!!! They do not know what they are doing and they rushed jobs and they have all cars packed there Hood up car exposed windows rolled down, no supervision at all what so ever Never had an issue with my car bring my car there on a Thursday because my car was nothing turning over but lights came on , new alternator new battery just changed no less then a year ago .. They thought it was an alternator problem took the alternator out and realized that’s not the issue , told me my car would be ready at 1 p.m on Thursday I came at 1 they needed up saying 6 p.m !! Came at 6 they had my car all wired up looking on YouTube to see if rats chewed wired to my car lmao !!! He kept insisiting that’s the issue .. he told me it takes days to troubleshoot my car lmao pathetic! Oh not to mention he told me on Thursday it’ll be ready by Saturday ! Came I gave them till Saturday frustrated now … they told me I won’t get my car till after Monday now lmaoooo I came with my own tow truck and my own mechanic .. why my car was running less then 10 mins when my mechanic arrived ,and diagnosed it .. these idiots took days for a minor issue ? Oh and the issue was my key was not detecting anymore guys do not go to them they DONOT know what they are doing and they can only change tired and do oil changes lmao nothing more they are good at !HORRIBLEEEEE !!!!
Angel is the only person you should ever see when dealing with a car issue. He is very communicative, honest and caring. As someone who just got a car, he was very upfront and patient. Any time I have future issues, I will bring my car to Angel
I've been here 3 times now and never had a bad experience. 2 times for flat tires, this place is above the rest because they'll dismount your tire and patch the tire, not just put in a plug. The third time, my van was rear ended and they just gave me a replacement door they had laying around.
I recommend based on great customer experience and service.
All the work is being rushed Angel isn't doing the work personally. I had work done to my axle cost me a little over 1k just to hace the same problem took it back to Angel for him to make me pay again at the time I had no choice. I will never go here again Angel is a great mechanic BUT is he the one that's going to be working on your car Most likely not just pull up and you will see the B.s. in full effect no where to leave your car in the first place "RUSH JOB" should jump right out at ya

Popped a tire on a pothole on the BQ expy. Really lucky we were near Angel’s when we exited. Called to see if they had our tire in stock, they did and the tire was replaced within half an hour. Totally affordable rates. Great, friendly service with a fast team. Saved the day on a 5 hour road trip day.
IF YOU WANT A PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE and ACURRATE DIAGNOSTICS this is not the mechanic for you. Let me say ok a personal level Angel wears his heart on his sleeve and is welcoming and has a can do attitude to address your car needs. BUT! Buyer be careful. He recently lost his mechanics and has a receptionist who is never there. He is under extreme pressure to finish the cars and I would not recommend. I can not go into detail how I was JERKED and paid 1k for my car and ended up having to take my car elsewhere and pay over 2k to have a functional car. I am not rich and I do not cut corners on car repair, I do not try to haggle pricing or budget as my safety is key and having a reliable vehicle for my small business. Angel was the source of many sleepless nights and chop shop repairs. If you’re looking for an average mechanic and non factory parts and a homie hang out this is your spot. I had to wait two weeks for a receipt so there is insight on the level of professionalism here. I won’t go into further detail because I do not need to rant but so disappointing as Angels personality is kind but he is incompetent as his business is in serve need of organizing and proficient mechanics and operations to help him. This is quick fix, bring your car back over and over let me see maybe I can slap it on and help you auto mechanics. Pay the money and go to a reputable place. Which is not here.
I've been to many auto shops. This one is one of the best in Brooklyn. Angel is so honest and good from the heart that he'll give you the most honest and fastest assessments and will charge only a fraction of what other places will charge you for equal services. There are plenty of mechanics on site and are always busy. That's good news to people who want their vehicles back to them as fast as possible. And they're handpicked by Angel because they all have his ethic. I sincerely recommend.
Angel and his team consistently went above and beyond, providing outstanding service for my 20-year-old Chevy Cavalier over the last five years with minimal repairs at reasonable costs and clear communication. When it was time to part ways, they kindly facilitated the process of junking the car, relieving a lot of stress, and even gave me a ride to the junkyard when I left keys behind. Grateful for Angel and his team, I'll definitely return for my new car.
Came here on a emergency, bff car battery was acting crazy . Went to Auto zone and they tried to get us for $250 for a battery and didn’t want to place it in. Went to Angel Auto, and Angel fixed out issues in 5 minutes and charged us $0.00. He was definitely a Angel and a honest man. Will return definitely

He always fixes the problem, whether it’s an emergency last minute thing or a planned service, he’s helped me when I’ve broken down, find a tow, diagnose issues, even fix my brakes when a bolt came Loose.
That’s just the small stuff he’s also done my AC, Electrical, Starter Motors, Mufflers, and for hard to find classics too!

I brought Angel my new used Volvo V70 last year and asked if he could do a whole look over to check everything out. They did some work (fuel pump $1400, heater core $1200) and resolved some issues. I brought it back a few months later cause wasn’t starting well, and he said it was the catalytic converter codes coming up. I’m no expert mechanic but I was questioning how the exhaust would be effecting the starting power.
I brought it somewhere else and sure enough it was the fuel pump relay that he installed a few months earlier, that and the coolant sensor. Not to mention I’d been driving without my rear brakes working! Dangerous. Annoyed they didn’t catch that when he told me they did a whole look over on the car. I had a feeling they were too busy to actually diagnose what was going on and sure enough that was the case. They are nice for sure, but decent work not great. Glad I brought it to my new spot where I got the attention I pay for.
My clutch needed replacing so I gave angel a call, super nice guy who gave me a good, honest price. Had the job done quickly, did a great job, and the new clutch feels as it should. Will def recommend this shop to anyone that asks!
Angle treated me like family, and did a fantastic job. I've already recommended him and his great team to other family members. And he backs up his work. Angel and his team are hands down the best shop I've used in Brooklyn. Angel is helpful, responsive, and massively knowledgable about vehicles and how to keep them running at their best. He's always given me an honest assessment of the issues, a reasonable rate, and a full breakdown of what I was paying for.
