You people had no business towing my car. What you people didn’t know is that my car has a camera and audio. I am sending it to 311 as well! I saw the whole thing on camera. Let that sink in. My lawyer will also be in touch.
Nypd used crown towing to remove my no license plate car off the street no problem I know I wasn’t supposed to have my car parked with no plates but the tow driver literally is no good & ofc management will save their drivers ass .. I have 2012 Mercedes Benz I litearlly got out the car for less then 30 minutes from completing a Brooklyn to Bronx drive before nypd and a tow truck was taking my car on a Saturday night ! Crown is closed on weekends so I had to wait til Monday which is today go get car pay my fees & car has a flat I think nothing of it cuz it’s sitting for 2 days with no tire air cap I go around the comer from crown to get air and the air is literally hissing , I get a spare put on so I can find a new tire , find new tire get rim changed off old tire and tire guy shows me the big hole in the rim I called crown to see why and all he can say was the car was prolly hit while it was parked before we took it impossible !
Complete scam company. I had a truck towed here because it died and I couldn't get it started again. They charged me for 2 hours to replace a battery (something that shouldn't take more than an hour on the high end), the battery that they installed was not good, and the truck died again around the corner after picking it up. I had to have it towed to another mechanic, only to find out that the original problem wasn't even the battery. I went to them to work it out, asking for a refund for the cost of the bad battery they installed into my vehicle, as well as a refund for the diagnosis time, given that they did not diagnose the actual problem. They basically left me standing in the cold at their window, ignoring me until I pressed the issue, only to tell me no refunds. They completely take advantage of people in vulnerable positions. I will be going to the department of transportation about this. I want to be clear that I rarely leave bad reviews and I never go to the authorities about anything, but this company should not be in business. If you are stuck and they are the only people available to tow you, do not have them tow you to their mechanic; you will spend more money than if you just have them tow you to someone you trust. Awful human beings.
Scheduled a 9am tow with Geico, which was confirmed by Crown. They showed up to my door an hour early and acted like it was my fault when I wasn’t available.

They were/are rude beyond comprehension.
“No pickups before 8AM” means they will sit there watching TV in the booth while you wait in the cold for 20min.
Carlos the tow truck driver at Crown Towing, sent to me by Geigo as roadside assistance, stated EMPHATICALLY that the issue with my car was NOT the battery, but the alternator. So he towed my car to the shop only to find out that the issue was definitely the BATTERY! I got stuck with a $45 diagnostic fee for NO REASON because I would've nevered had my car towed if the problem was the battery because my battery was still under warranty and would've been replaced FREE of charge right at my parking spot. His supv, Rick, cosigned his BS talking about he has to "side with his worker" who LIED yet again stating he told me it was "the battery OR the alternator." He was NO HELP in resolving the situation. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH LIARS WHO'S SUPV COSIGNS THEIR BS!!! Go with a reputable company with honest people & excellent customer service. This place ain't it!!!
Normally I don't do bad reviews, but since this affected my wife and 3 children I want to prevent other families from going through the same thing.Today my wife and I called GEICO, because she had a flat tire that needs to be replaced, GEICO sent this company Which at 4:07pm gave us 6:03pm as an ETA. After that time passed, we call them multiple times and every time they gave us different ETA even when we told them that Mavis 'the tire shop' closes at 6:00pm and they will stay 30 more minutes to wait for our car.
At 6:40pm we called back and they just told us that they cancelled the tow truck, and they did not bother to even gave us a Courtesy call to let us know they weren't coming forcing us to leave the car parked in an unsafe area and GEICO on the phone rescheduling the tow truck for the next day.
I really don't understand how one of the best insurance companies works with such irresponsible companies like Crown Towing.
They have the Crown of the worst towing company in NY.
Never got a chance to actually work with Crown Towing because of some scheduling issues but I received a call the following day from the owner which completely changed my perception of how the company is managed. I respected the following up. For that reason I would use and recommend them in the future.
Afternoon dispatcher has no customer service skills. Estimated time of an hour and half given at 3:32pm. When called at 5:11pm I was informed the driver was 10min away on 199th and Jerome. When called at 6:02pm I was informed the driver was on 195th and Jerome, just moved four blocks and was informed it was slow because it’s a heavy vehicle. Cool, “understandable”. When called again at 6:54pm, I was informed the driver cancelled.
Amazing service, truly. Lesson learned: once someone doesn’t know how to speak on the phone, I will take my business elsewhere. Thank you sooo much for your time. It was greatly appreciated.
THE BEST!!!!!!!!!! My truck was stuck in a garage and several other tow companies could not make the tow clearance or had me waiting 24hrs for a tow because their equipment wasnt ready. COULDNT DO THAT! Called crown towing and their night dispatcher Joey was extremely meticulous in getting detailed info from me so that the tow would be so successful. no one else called provided that level of concern for my situation and this was key to the successful tow! When the field tech Roger came he already was well informed. Roger was the other star of Crown that night. in extremely confined areas he managed my big pick up truck as well as his own tow truck got me out of the garage hooked me up and got us out of there. Mind you this was all done in the chaos of midtown traffic. Roger is a master technician because this was all done in minutes with the smoothness of an absolute pro. These two guys and Crown Towing SAVED ME that night and they are the only ones i would ever turn to again!!!! HIGHLY RECCOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!
HORRIBLE company. They originally quoted me $300 to pick up my car, showed up 4 hours late and blamed it on traffic, and then rounded up and charged me $400. When I asked him why I'm being charged more than the original price he said "It's not my problem". On top of that.. They are NASTY people. I highly advise anyone who needs a towing service use another company.
I used this company through Geico where I have my insurance.
Used the Geico app to request a tow - within a minute of requesting the service I got a call from Joey. He walked me through all the information to make sure it was accurate - AND he suggested a better option - a tow to a 24 hour tire shop for a fix.
Suggestion was great - and not something I would have ever come up with on my own.
Tow driver (Donovan) arrived in 30 minutes as predicted by Joey - load up was fast - drive across Bronx was safe and unadventurous - and the tire shop was able to replace the destroyed tire and get me on my way.
Running a tow truck business cant be easy - dealing with a lot of stressed out people - but Crown did a great job on this occasion - really came through for me.
Called them almost 2 weeks in advance to schedule a pickup on 9/3 3:30pm. On 9/3 I called them to let them know I was in the Bronx. 3:35pm I called them again just to let them know I’m still waiting at the pickup address. The gentleman tells me they have 1 driver and he won’t make it until 7pm. 7pm comes around I call and the gentleman on the phone with an attitude says “I told you when the driver arrives to the location, you come downstairs or meet him and tell him what needs to be done”. 8pm comes around and I get a call from Joey stating no one is coming, the driver is on NYPD calls. My response was I wish someone would’ve told me this 6hrs ago. He said for the inconvenience I’ll put you in for 9/4 10am, but call at 8am before you leave your house to confirm. I called at 8am the morning person is saying, there’s nothing of the sort in the system that reflects what Joey said. Unfortunately I can’t move the truck. The previous owner who is a retired cop from NYPD, passed away and all plates were returned to DMV. Truck needs to be moved from the assigned parking spot in the complex. If there’s not enough man power or if they simply just don’t want to do the job because of travel time, just state that. But don’t string people along giving them dates and times, when they’re still dealing with other things such as a death in the family.
Woke up to my car being stolen after calling around my vehicle was located at Crown Towing when I got there. The gentleman by the name of Hector was very great. Very patient with me during this very stressful process. he took me to get my paperwork. Explain to me all the fees got me out quick and fast. Thank you Crown Towing for being so patient with me during a very good difficult time.
Had a great experience with this company last month. The wait time was short and the driver was very helpful with tips and honesty. Thanks to THERESA for the assistance. Would use the company again if my car ever becomes immobile.
I was stuck in the middle of the road and googled a tow service and came across crown I called them and the dispatcher hector was super helpful and he told that he would send me a truck to help in my situation they arrived super and fast and the driver Raphael was also super helpful they got me out of my nightmare and made my bad experience as good as they could!!! I will be recommending the to e everyone I know and god forbid I need them again I won't hesitate to call them thank you again crown you guys are the best !!!!
Crown Towing provides great service. . They're professional & punctual. They took very good care of my car. Theresa went above & beyond in the pouring rain to get my car on the tow truck. Rick was horrible. He had an attitude our whole transaction , did not communicate properly took my documents and had me wait 40 mins outside in 30 degree weather and when I asked for an update he told his coworker she going to have to wait without acknowledging me . I had to call the business to have them tell me when I was going to get my car . His own workers apologized on his behalf due to his narcissistic way of handling people. People who use towing services are people that for one reason or another are having some kind of issue with their car wether is an accident which is my case or other reason he shouldn’t make their already hard week harder by the way he attends his customer . I’m not asking for a hand out I’m paying for a service therefore I EXPECT good customer service .
My car broke down and I called another company and waited over two hours and no one called back or came so I decided to call Crown Towing and Joey the dispatcher was awesome, very professional. He made sure I understand the process and ensure that when the driver was close by he called. Thanks Joey and to the driver I think his name was Chris thank you for helping out. First time experiencing this and I never regret calling this company.
Attempted to use this service.. an appointment was scheduled the day before for 8:15 am.i had appt for glass at 9 Next day. At 8:09 call to see if they were on their way told me yes. at 838 called again wru hes. Not here yet. Oh wait he's not at work yet but you told me he was on his way this company plays games just to keep you waiting. No respect for your appointments or your life keep you waiting on the street and don't keep you informed..contacted Empire towing they were there within 15 minutes. They kept me posted via text the entire time Big ups to empire towing. I see why crown has three stars too bad my insurance company pick them first Geico was notified

If you want some rude customer service go here. Not complaints about the person who tow my car at all but the customer services once you go there is terrible. First of all they call you to tell you the car is ready but when you get there you have to wait outside until they feel like attending to you but not before giving you a bad attitude. I was very surprised because the guy I was talking on the phone “Mike” was very polite but once I went there the people attending rude AF! Never again
However, I have to say that they only took 30 minutes to get to me to get my car. But I rather wait 4 hours and good customer services.
This business provides 1st rate towing and mechanic services available at reasonable prices. The owner and staff have the customer's best interest in mind. We recently had a engine antifreeze fluid pan burst on Fordham Road Bronx NY. Not only did Crown Towing Service Inc so up in an expedient time, tow truck driver loaded my 05 Honda crv ex onto the tow truck, he offered to garage the vehicle over the weekend, and also suggested their company to repair the damage antifreeze pan.
The next available work day we received at a fair price quote to do the repairs.
We were overjoyed with the entire services provided.
I called Geico because I needed a jump. They assigned Crown. I called to let them know the details. They were polite and professional over the phone. When the gentleman that needed to jump my car couldn't fit his truck into my garage -- he went inside and pushed the car out to the front of the garage so he could jump start the car for me. As a widow, who is alone and doesn't have any help or anyone to help her (friends recently moved away). You have no idea how much this meant to me, that this gentleman went out of his way to help me. He didn't have to and he did. I would recommend Crown to anyone and everyone. They are customer care specialists. Thank you Crown, I appreciate you.
This is a great company. My first experience was over 8 years ago. Every time I need a repair done to my car, they are the ones I call. The service is excellent and the turn around time is great. If you want someone with Experience contact Crown Towing.
An absolute joke of a company, they were sent to assist my aunt with swapping her donut on when she got a flat tire through Geico Roadside Assistance. She was told 1-2 hours, someone showed up 3 HOURS later, fine, maybe things were busy, but then proceeded to tell her he could not change the donut and had to tow, she called me because she felt like they were trying to take advantage of her and I spoke with the operator, he then tells me oh I have a bad back so I can’t do it, I only tow, I told him that was unacceptable, they dispatched him for a flat tire and he said uhhhhhhh, then hung up on me. Horrible customer service for a very quick and simple fix.
I got stuck in a large hole at a shipper under the water were large pallets ripping off my bumper and disconnecting Airlines to my tanks the mechanic showed up on site able to bypass my Airlines making it possible to drive out of the hole the mechanic arrive 60 or 90 minutes later I was able to follow him back to the shop
They are the best my respect to them. I called for service because my truck will not start. Well it was 10pm and I fell asleep in my truck. I had missed a couple of calls from them. But, they still looked out for me and woke up to the maintenance man knocking on my window. I will forever be grateful to them for actually showing up. Thank You.
I only used this service because this is what Geico uses for roadside assistance. I'll never use them again, even if the towing is covered. Took almost 3 hours for the guy to arrive. To fix the issue it took almost a week when it shouldn't have had to. I was calling almost every day and constantly getting the run-around from the mechanic, different excuses every day.
The issue was the ignition cylinder lock was not turning. The car was turning on just fine with my alarm fob. For some reason, he made a whole other key and whatever he did there, now I can't turn my car on with the alarm fob anymore. The problem was fixed, only reason they don't get 1 star.
