This store has poor customer service and their prepaid assembly and delivery services are NOT worth adding for your order. I ordered a bookshelf and added services, at extra cost, for Lowe’s to assemble and deliver the bookshelf. The assembly services delayed the delivery date of the item because the store said they had to wait to have a certain number of items to be assembled for their third party contractor to visit the store and assemble items. On the day the bookshelf was finally assembled and scheduled for delivery, the bookshelf was broken while being loaded onto the truck. The store sent me a photo of the broken item, and refunded me for the cost of the item. I asked to be refunded in full, including the cost of the assembly and delivery services, which I didn’t receive since I didn’t get the item and were nearly equal to the cost of the item. The store associate and store manager said that would be done without issue. It has been about three weeks since they offered to refund in full, and I have yet to receive a full refund. I followed up with multiple emails to the store team, which were not responded to, and I talked to Lowe’s customer service, which referred the issue back to the store. When I called the store and asked to speak to the store manager most recently, I was put on a long hold and hung up on repeatedly. I do not suggest using this store, and if you do, do not rely on their services, just DIY!

I purchased an LG refrigerator for our employee break room on September 10,2025. Less than 1 week later the refrigerator stopped working & all of the food that was in there spoiled. I called Lowe’s & they claim that because we did not pay with a Lowe’s credit card we were unable to return the refrigerator after 48 hours. They directed me to go directly through LG. I have had no luck with LG thus far. I’m a customer experience manager & know that satisfying the customer should be first priority. I called corporate & they reiterated that same policy. I will never buy another LG product or make another purchase from Lowe’s again.

John from the garden center was fantastic, he saw us looking for something and took the initiative to ask us if we needed help. He was so nice and attentive, truly appreciated his friendliness and willingness to help.

My father had purchased roofing material online which he had paid the extra $79 to have delivered to his home as a convenience. Upon inspection he noticed that the material was dry and cracked. We called Lowes.com customer service and were told that we could return/exchange in-store. So we loaded almost 400lbs of material, took it to this store and asked if we could return/exchange it. After two of the customer service personnel were unsure of what to do they called over a manager and we were told that since it came from the North Bergen store we would have to go all the way there to return it even though I had mentioned that Lowes.com said it would be alright to return to ANY store in-person. Unbelievable and ridiculous. Learn your policies.

Been trying to find flooring and paint that really fits our family home and the associate. Lisette has been a nightmare. She had such attitude that made me never want to shop at lowes again. Very rude and condescending.

OMG!! This lows is the best lows in THE WORLD Their Cashier MOEEZA YAQOOB THE BEST CASHIER IN THE WORLD literally she was so kind and helpful i felt i was in a 5 star restaurant!! The incompetency level at this loews resembles that of a wet mop. We walked in today and bought products to be delivered tomorrow, we were informed later in the the day that due to certain trucks not available, we would receive the products on 4/17. We were working with a deadline and so walked back in to pick up the products. We were informed certain products were not in stock. So we asked them to split off the order and we would take what was available today. We decided to make sure the items weren’t available so we checked the isle and we found the product. All this reasoning and back and forth was more in our end as they just played dead, no initiative on their part and more of a carefree too bad attitude. Save yourselves some time and agravation here. Go to Home depot.

Had some plywood cut at this location. The woman who helped me was very rude, didn’t wear eye protection, and did a terrible job cutting the plywood—it ended up with large chips along the edges. I went back another day and a different employee shared his personal story about being really poor and not having enough money for gas. Both experiences were uncomfortable. I was just looking for a friendly, professional environment without the drama. Overall, it’s fine if you don’t need any help. The store is clean, but it’s hard to find someone with a helpful or friendly attitude.

Unfortunately, I went to purchase a vacuum cleaner and spoke to one of the sales reps on the floor that really had no knowledge of the vacuum cleaners.. They didn't know anything about the products, and they sound confused about what the vacuum cleaners and the prices. My experience was as horrible!

I was at the store looking for a recessed light bulb. Since I wasn’t familiar with the lighting, I opened one from the shelf to compare it with the old one I had brought with me, as I wanted to be 100% sure I bought the same thing. When I opened the same one from the shelf a second time to double-check, a staff member yelled at me, ‘How many do you have to open ?” I only opened the same one and put it back properly. I don’t understand why he had to yell at me.

First time ordering from this location online (Jersey City). I received the wrong product, like by a lot in terms of size. Tried to do a return online, but was only repeatedly sent to either the product page or a blank page. Called customer service, to their credit, they tried to resolve the issue. I was told I just needed to take it to a return location, no label needed. But you did need a label. I couldn't get one online, and customer service could not email me one. They suggested I return it directly to the store, but the store was on the other side of the city, and they couldn't even confirm that it could return it there. So, they told me to keep the incorrect item and that they would put in a request for a refund. So, here I am, almost two weeks later, still waiting on my refund which was just $30. Even Lowes customer service was unable to help me, despite their best efforts.

Went to pick up a few items, and helpful was available. It's not like it used to be with a lot of help. You just have to walk around and find someone to help you locate and ask about what you want to buy.

The following fact and future for Liwes Comlpany its true. Lowes is suffering the consequences in sales internally. Lowes will dissappear..The next year will be catsstrofic for the company. Store closing , budget cuts and more. I'm greatful foe the gifts of Claragiyance and More ... and what i see its what I see. Mr. CEO your numbers are bad. You will never have the coverage tha homedepot has .This is typical and very badly for stores like Lowes whom started as mom & pop shop. They add many stores in order to grow while they know they are poisoning themselves. Any financial analyst would back up this fact. NYC / JC immediate NONE UP. NORTH SOUTH WEST. The customer service at this location leaves so much to be desired. I went last Saturday to buy a French door fridge and over the range microwave. I waited about 15 minutes for a sales associate after them being paged twice. A nice Indian lady came over and assisted me. We found a fridge but it wasn’t in stock she kept paging a guy from flooring I’m assuming the specialist to do the order. Once she saw she can’t order the fridge I said it’s ok and left. In order the fridge from hd. I still wanted the microwave so I go today and speak to the associate there. I tell her I would like to purchase the microwave. She ask if I wanted to take it or have it delivered and install. She tells installation is 249.00 and I immediately thought that’s wrong. I say that makes no sense. I asked about haul away and she stated they don’t do haul away. I ask her again because I knew she was lying at this point because I discussed this last week with another employee. She states no they don’t offer that my contractor would have to do it. I just left because I not going to fight them to do the sale. A waste of time.

I literally give no star for the worst customer representative!!! I waited for over 30 minutes for the representative to come back for more information about the washing machine. He completely forgot about me while helping the other customers and told me to wait like it was not a big deal. I went to buy the new washing machine and he placed an order with my membership. He and his supervisor said the delivery will be on Wednesday and should receive a call the day before my delivery date to find out what time my order would come. I never receive a call nor email for my order status. I took a day off from work and expecting my order to come. I called Lowes in Jersey City, they said they do not delivery on Wednesdays and my order was under another person's name instead of mine. I cancelled my order. I cannot believe how careless and unprofessional the customer representative and manager were for messing up my order. They do not know what they are doing. They should be fired. Worst service experience. NEVER COMING BACK!! DO NOT TRUST THEM!!

I had the worst experience purchasing and having a refrigerator delivered from Lowe's. I paid an extra $150 for a 2-day delivery from Lowe's, compared to Home Depot, which had slightly longer delivery time of 4 days. I took a day off work to wait for the confirmed delivery from Lowe's, but it never arrived. Despite attempts to get help from Lowe's customer care, in-store staff, and the external delivery service XPO, no one was able to assist. Based on this experience, I do not recommend buying any appliances from Lowe's. Home Depot is a more reliable and cheaper choice.

Visited Lowe’s today and recently a month ago and Vivian (the Jamaican guy) is the most helpful, the kindest, and super helpful! The other associates saw me struggling but Vivian saw me leaving the garden center with heavy pebble bags and immediately helped me. Helped me at the register. Also loaded the bags in my car since they were heavy. Vivian is the BEST!!! I appreciate him so much. This review is only for Vivian - thank you Vivian for your constant help, great customer service, and for always making my trip to Lowe’s enjoyable.

I'm just now getting around to posting this review. As a former Lowe's employee, I was so saddened at how my husband was treated. Back in mid October, my husband tried to exchange a bathroom vanity. Admittedly, we had it for awhile but because my husband works 6 days a week, he didn't get around to opening it until his vacation. It had sat in the garage untouched. We open the box and this vanity was TRASHED - the counter top was caved into the cabinet; broken and completely unusable. My husband goes to the store to exchange it. He's told by a supervisor, Corey that because it was past 90 days, even with a Lowe's card, it can't be exchanged, only returned (and it was showing as more expensive online than when we bought it). My husband was curious about this since that's not how it's always been. He said it was a recent change, so my husband asked if it was posted anywhere. I guess Corey was having a bad day because he said: "We can go back and forth about this but we're just wasting each other's time because I'm not going to approve it." When my husband was trying to respond, Corey kept interrupting him and said he "has other stuff to do." My husband and I are really chill people, both having worked service jobs. We know how stressful it can be and how customers can be mean and unreasonable, which is why we never give service workers a hard time. I was absolutely mortified that my husband was treated this way, not only as a customer that spent his hard earned money, but as just a really nice guy that would never devalue another human being like that. I told my husband to return it, and we'd get another one at a nearby Home Depot. I guess Corey heard that the vanity was returned and his name was confirmed because he decided that he would look into the product (pro-tip: always do your research before giving an answer to a customer!). Come to find out, they had 1 left and it was on clearance for about $55 (not posted online). My husband had already left! So Corey called my husband about it, so he had to come back across the bridge to get the, now cheaper, vanity. All that sass for absolutely no reason! It could have been avoided by simply scanning the vanity to see if anything could be done. I spoke to a very nice lady at customer service the next day (I'm sorry I didn't get her name. She was very sweet and professional!) requesting a call back from the store manager, Jackie. I felt that this was a great opportunity for a teachable moment. Many other customers would have yelled and screamed but we aren't like that. We get the struggle! She was very appreciative of that. I never did hear back from the store manager, Jackie, so here I am leaving a review. My husband probably caught Corey on a bad day; it happens, which is why we weren't upset, just extremely disappointed. So, Corey: whatever was going on with you that day, I hope it has improved. I know that working at Lowes is a tough job because I had to brave that monster too. However, you took your anger out on people that would 1000% have your back against the "Karens/Darens" that come into Lowes everyday. That and you don't know what others are going through. Try your best to leave your frustration at the door and lead with kindness and professionalism, especially to set a good example for your associates. It can really make all the difference!

ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH IN MY LIFE!!! We all know customer service usually isn't that good anywhere, but this was a whole new level of horrible. From start to finish, every single employee I had to deal with failed miserably at their job. First off, On 3 separate occassions, my delivery date got pushed back several days with no explanation. No exaggeration, I called customer service/this Jersey City location 25 times, and only 3 times did I even get to speak with anyone. Most of the time, the workers pick up the phone and hang it up immediately. Laziest and most inept workers I've ever had to deal with. The few times I did get through, I was met with rude and lazy workers who it seemed like they were bothered that they actually had to do their jobs. All I ordered was a dryer which continuously kept not getting even loaded onto a truck. The standard answer from every person was "I don't know". Then after finally getting through to the delivery department, the manager named James lied several times to me about my order, promised calling me back which he never did and admitted that they had the several dryer models I ordered just laying there, but they weren't loading it on the truck because no drivers wanted to drive a few extra miles to make the delivery to where I live. Nothing but blatant lies and the most incompetent workers here. Please for the love of God, do not give Jersey City Lowe's or any Lowe's in that matter, your time or money. All they will do is jerk you around because it seems all the workers and even managers have no clue how to do anything and lack basic intelligence. Lowe's will never get a penny from me again. Better off shopping literally anywhere else. Please save yourself the stress and annoyances and wasted hours on hold for nothing. Read all the other recent reviews of this place, a lot of similar experiences, especially with appliances. It really is like a store where all the workers are 7 years old and can't help with anything.

I had a horrible experience using them for a fence installation. I was given an instillation date in October, when the date passed nobody reached out me for an update. I called them for weeks on end and they kept telling me that pieces were on back order and that it was taking longer. Every week they told me the same story for a month (and I am the one reaching out to them for the updates), one day somebody actually does some investigation and they find out that all the pieces for the fence had been delivered the month prior before the initial start date but nobody registered it in the system! So had I not been harassing them for weeks I would still be waiting on that fence to be installed, they then give me a December install date! I was furious and luckily another job was canceled so I was able to get it finished by end of November.During that time I received fines from the city because trash had blown in our yard from the missing fence (we really need a fence urgently). I was told I would be compensated for their failures but they will only talk about it after the installation, which is unfair. Once the job was completed I reached out again to speak about compensation and they offered a 25 dollar gift card as a slap in the face. You came even buy a decent hammer at that site with that! Terrible experience from beginning to end.

Nice customer service. I love waiting on hold for two hours then being transferred back and forth. Either you need to close or at the very least take a business class. We will be returning our countertops today and all the appliances as well. Merry Christmas!

I recently visited Lowe’s and when I tell you the customer service was outstanding. I met John in patio and furniture and he made us feel like purchasing it was the right choice. He went out his way in even helping us receiving it and purchasing and making sure we were okay in loading it in the car. We also had the pleasure of assistants at the register with nneta and Nicole I believe I forgot there names already but I know was so distracted on how easy and outgoing they were on helping us checkout. It was a phenomenal experience and I’m happy with my purchase overall. I would be coming back to this Lowe’s in my future purchases.

First time I have visited this place for a quick stop. The place is quite clean and organized, a typical Lowe's. Some of the staffs are nice though they are too quiet, and not even bother to ask customers if they need anything, and some staffs like by the self-checkout area are not having a nice day... just focused on the job, no customer interaction. The branch was not as crowded and for some reason I feel uneasy of the location since there are 2 surveillance trailers in the parking lot. Sketchy. Lo and behold, when I got back to my car a cart is resting next to it and and after checking, my driver side door has a big dent. My front and rear cam didn't record the event. Lowe's parking lot has not enough cart corral so carts are all over the place. Combined this with mindless patrons, damage to property will certainly occur.

Worst buying experience in my life. Ordered an appliance thanksgiving weekend and two months later I still haven't gotten it although it was scheduled for the first week of Dec. After following up with the store and customer service over 5 times I still have not gotten it. Many promises were made but none of them were kept. Neither the store or customer service has reached out to me to apologize or rectify the situation even after I was told someone from leadership would definitely follow up with me. Don't know how I come back.

Had a great experience at this location. Staff was super friendly and helpful, I found everything I needed. Lots of plants in stock if you getting ready for warmer weather (please keep plants inside watered some were very dry and dying). The store was clean, organized and well stock with the items I needed. Worth the drive, will go back again. FYI...they also recycle Batteries and plastic bag, which I was glad to find a location.
