I ordered a birthday cake for my son’s party from BJ’s, and the order was confirmed in advance. But unfortunately, they canceled it at the very last minute without any notice or apology! This completely ruined the party and deeply disappointed my son who had been looking forward to his cake. Extremely unprofessional service with zero accountability. I will never rely on them again, and I strongly advise others not to trust them with important occasions.

Beware: Loyal BJs customers with valid reciepts can still get their car towed in the BJS parking lots anywhere — and they won’t help you. I’ve been a loyal BJs member for over a decade, spending over $12,000 every Year! there during that time. I always believed they valued their customers. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that they absolutely do not. After shopping at BJs (I had my receipt in hand), I came out to find that my car had been towed from their parking lot — by a sketchy towing company that clearly targets families and unsuspecting shoppers. To get my car back, I was forced to pay $182 in cash. On top of that, I had to travel several miles to pick it up. Which was difficult without any transportation. When I called BJs for help, they simply told me to “call the towing company.” Meanwhile, the towing company told me to “call BJs” to understand why this happened. It’s a complete runaround. BJs essentially washes their hands of the problem, leaving customers stranded and on the hook for outrageous fees. Let this be a warning: even if you’re a paying customer with a valid receipt, your car can still be towed from the BJs lot. There is absolutely nothing you can do to stop it, and BJs will do nothing to help you afterward. After spending over $12,000 with them and trusting them for years, this is how they treat loyal members. I will never shop at BJs again, and I urge anyone considering it to think twice. ⸻ I have BJs an opportunity to respond before posting this review and they looked up the purchase I made and I have all records of the events that took place.

If you ever need to be refunded from this company good luck. Also pay cash not card. Someone there took my info and preceeded to order a tv for themselves. I usually check my account and stopped that fraud from occurring. Still waiting for my refund. They said they see I was refunded but my bank assured me it wasn't. Now they say they have to have me wait 6 to 8 weeks more. Seriously don't pay with card here not trustworthy. I finally got my refund but it was mailed to me as a check and 5 months later.

If I could give zero stars I would. I did a pick up order half the stuff that gave me was either spoiled or expiring within days and now bjs is giving me a hard time about a refund for those items I even offered to bring them back to the store. I will be taking my business back to Costco

Customer service is 100% terrible. Never have more than 1-2 people at the busy evening hours and the 1 person keeps needing to run to the register to help associates out. It’s a mess.

I bought TurboTax software from BJ’s, but when I tried to use it, the activation code had already been redeemed. I went back to the store to return it, but they refused to take it back—even though the product was clearly unusable. I reached out to customer care for help, but the response has been extremely slow and unhelpful. Very disappointed with both the product handling and the customer service. I expected better support for digital products. Would not recommend buying software from BJ’s.

Returned to this BJs almost after 8 years to do a pick up since I was in the area. The parking lot has shrunk due to construction nearby. Difficult to get spot on weekend peak hours. This BJs has only 3.5% (half) NJ sales tax. The club is huge, has all the regular electronic, grocery, bakery, household goods. It’s relatively clean and organized. Self checkouts are fully functional. Lines were moving fast. The pick up was little slow. One person was attending both in store and curb side pickups. I had to wait few minutes even though I saw the associate prepare my order but he ran outside to drop off the curbside order for another customer.

shopping carts are terrible!! 2 out of 3 are broken. There is no one inside to ask questions or help you when you can't find the product. The product range is small and of poor quality. Comparing it to Costco would be disrespectful to Costco. There are not enough employees and the ones that do are indifferent.

No less than four employees hanging out and chatting while phones are ringing and three people are waiting at customer service for help

Love how convenient the pick-up is. They bring it straight to your car. Only thing is that you should check your eggs before they leave. There are broken ones in the shelves and workers pick them up without knowing.

Shopping carts are defective mostly. It was a quick shopping. Price is higher than Costco. There was not much line in the cash out. Employees were friendly.

1. People are obviously buying in bulk, but management can’t even provide some functioning carts for better shopping experience. 2. A cashier double charged us for an item and the checker didn’t even bother to inform us, so better to check your receipts before leaving the place as they cannot work w complete integrity! 3. Bread loaf doesn’t have expiration date, so it can placed on a shelf for a month? Will never go back to this place again.

Hello BJ’s Team, I wanted to let you know that I love shopping at this BJ’s and visit daily. However, I would like to request that you restock the Carbonell Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2L. It’s the only oil I use, and I really need it to be available again. May I kindly ask if you could make this happen? I would really appreciate it. Thank you for your attention to this matter :)

It’s a ‘big box’ BJ Membership Club. The stock is not as extensive as other BJ’s and I am guessing because Jersey City apts and houses have limited space so the large items are not as popular at this location. Other than that it carries the same items as the other BJ’s. There is an optical dept up at the front if you already have a script. An optometrist is not available here so you will need to have your eye test elsewhere. Prices are reasonable for their glasses. The auto dept does the typical tire services and prices are somewhat competitive. There used to be a Dunkin’ inside for a few years but it permanently closed in the Spring of ‘24. That was a nice treat to be able to drink a cup of joe while shopping. The PARKING LOT is terrible before the construction where the old Bed Bath & Beyond was located and now it is awful. Shop Rite lost more than half of its parking spots so many shoppers park at BJ’s side, and when you try to visit on the busy weekends you may experience parking rage with other drivers. Overall it is worth its membership especially if you have a family of four or more According to a BJ’s manager it has a building lease until ~2029. Let’s see what happens when Shop-Rite moves across the parking lot

If you are a truck driver delivering here BEWARE. They set delivery times for early in the morning when they aren’t even open. The “department manager” Damon is an ignorant and rude individual who talks to you like garbage and leaves you to sit there for hours and offloads other trucks that get there after you first. Worst place. BJs should be ashamed of themselves for having people like that working for their company. The store manager was of no help either and just told my driver to complain to the broker about it. Very unprofessional.

This place has everything you need. From food to toiletries to electronics to furnitures. And the prices are great in terms of savings. If you're looking to buy in bulk and save money, BJ's is the place to shop at. And the place is clean and easy to navigate through. I give it two thumbs up!!!

I'm a big fan of BJs Wholesale Club. Good, if limited, selection. Good quality. Excellent prices. Quantities/sizes are larger than normal in regular grocery stores, so you have to be thoughtful about whether you can really *use*the enormous sizes packages, but if you can--the prices are difficult to beat. The Jersey City store is not the best BJs I've been to--the suburban stores are *huge*, with wider selections--but it's still a very good option. I'm there once/month for pantry items and some meat and produce. Organic& grass-fed selections are not great. Checkout can be slow--people buy a lot here--but staff is almost always courteous and helpful. Parking got trickier since they turned half the lot into a construction site, but there's usually a spot. Never been towed. The staff checking receipts at the exit are just doing their job--I have no complaints.

Had such a bad experience with them today that I canceled my membership! They always check your cart when you leave, well known while other places don't do it. Today, the rude lady on the exit after two years that we are buying there decided to take all the stuff from our bags like we are stealing from them. I was shocked ! I went to the store manager and she said she is allowed to... If that's the attitude , fine by me. Canceled my membership, and I'll buy my 400$ weekly groceries somewhere else.

I always do in store pickup and they have an extraordinary person working her name is Illeanna she is the one that usually shops your order she is the absolute BEST!!!!! Alway's polite, courteous, respectful... And she often tells me I treat people the way I want to be treated. That is something we should all live by...Keep up the good work they need 100 more like you!!!!

BJ's is a wholesale shopping club and this outlet is based in Jersey City. This always has some great deals on stationary and home office items. You get everything you need under one roof starting from garden kits to sleepwear to bakery and gifting cards as well. There a lot of inhouse brand items which are really good and comparable and a whole lot cheaper than the standard brands. It requires a membership which was traditionally $50 but now due to the pandemic one can get it for as low as $20.

Terrible terrible terrible. I really wanted to like BJ’s, I’ve heard great things so I signed up a few weeks ago. My experience has been nothing but awful. There are never any shopping carts. I’ve had to leave without buying anything because how are you supposed to shop for BULK items without a cart? The selection of items in the store is not very wide, so I end up having to go to other stores to get the things I want anyway. Shopping on the app for in-store pickup is impossible, because there’s no way to sort out the items that aren’t available at your location. You have to just take your best guess and when you go to check out your cart, it’ll tell you “this item is not available at your location” well then why even show the item to me in the first place? It makes the app completely useless. The help desk in the store always has a line, I’ve waited up to 30 minutes before so if you want help, forget it. I’m sure they’re short-staffed right now since they’re hiring, but hey maybe try paying more than $11 an hour? I have no pity’s Customer service on the phone was slow, and hung up on me before the call was completed. There’s always long lines. Don’t get a BJ’s membership if you were looking to take advantage of the “convenience” they promise you of in-store pickup, it’s a lie. Don’t get a membership, especially not at this location because there’s always a line in the store.

This is the place where you can get goods at the cheapest price. They offer wholesale price so it would be cheaper than any store in the area even with the discount coupons especially the adjacent ShopRite store. The only catch is you need to buy the goods in bigger quantities as well. The quality is the same, it is still top notch but the price is really way lower than any store in the area.

Very good range of categories available in the store. Price wise a little expensive if compared to Costco and Sams. Less home appliances, no liquor section, clothings being same for more than 6months and very limited ones. Their own brand Wesley products are good though, which is why little expensive never makes a difference.

Loved the place. Service is fast and you get almost every item you want. The only constrain is you have to have a BJ's card
