I had an issue with my laptop not turning , So i called Hoboken Tech solutions thinking I needed to make an appointment but thankfully i didn’t need one and was able to come in and get it fixed same day . I ended up meeting the owner Jeff who was so nice and was so fast. I wasn’t charged too much as everything was reasonably priced . It turned out I needed a new battery which Jess was able to swiftly fix for me same day. Everything was Fast , professional and affordable. If i ever need to get any of my electronics fixed i know Im definitely going to Hoboken Tech Solutions!
Hoboken Tech saved me . Brought my MacBook to Jeff and he fixed it no questions asked Thank God. All my work info and personal stuff would've seriously been a problem. Jeff is professional and surprisingly fast and the cost was reasonable. . I had dropped off my laptop and within a week it was done. Hopefully this never happens again but if it did this is my first choice for repair, hands down. Thanks again !!!

I highly recommend Hoboken Tech Solutions to anyone in need of reliable and innovative tech solutions for Mac, PCs and Phones...etc. They give free estimates for repairs needed to any device, which include zero cost evaluation of data recovery. Instead of spending money on new tech equipment. It's convenience for me now to go to Tech Solutions.
If I could give this business 6 stars I absolutely would! When I walked in this business I could instantly feel the hospitality it was giving off from the staff to the owner Jeff who personally helped me with building my first computer. Before I came in i had called first to explain the type of computer that I wanted to build , the type of hard drive capacity I needed and backup from a slightly outdated mac book that I have. The way he went into detail and took me step by step through the process he was very hospitable and patient I couldn't ask for a better experience and I love my computer !
Recently went in to get my PC to get looked at due to an issue with my games not running. I met with the owner Jeff and he was such a great help! He upgraded my ram and updated my drivers and even looked at my graphics card to get a better performance. Best thing of all I didn’t need an appointment and was helped out same day. I recommend 10/10! Jeff was a true gem to help me out!
My son Dropped off his computer on November 1st. It's now Nov. 16 and he has had no update, no quote, and getting the run around every time he calls, and that is IF they answer. I just called again and it's someone's personal cell phone and a full voicemail box. My son is a college student, this is his main laptop needed for his classes, and I would never recommend anyone drop off their computer with such terrible service while holding his laptop hostage.

I came to Hoboken Tech when my MacBook Pro screen suddenly stopped working. Jeff was super helpful, ordering a new screen, and when that didn’t work, trying to resolve the issue other ways. I had dropped off my laptop with a three week deadline as I was leaving to travel for ~5 weeks, and Jeff was super accommodating with making sure I had a solution before that time and updating me whenever I checked in. Eventually he told me the laptop repair would be as expensive as a new computer, and offered to instead transfer my data to a comparable MacBook he had in store. (I decided to purchase a new one from Apple because I was overdue for an upgrade). I didn’t have to pay anything, because my laptop couldn’t be fixed.

Jeff is an amazingly talented fixer of computers. He’s my go to guy for any computer issue. He’s fair, reasonable and always very very nice. Highly recommended!
Hoboken Tech Solutions has had my laptop since October 2020. I have stopped by the shop several times to ask about the status of the repair and am always told "it will be ready in two days" THIS IS NOW ALMOST 4 MONTHS AGO. I just want my computer back! Trying to contact this shop by phone is impossible as all calls go to voicemail and, guess what, the mailbox is full! If you can't repair my computer, fine, just return it to me so that I can get it repaired elsewhere. Ridiculous!
Do not give this place any business. Jeff doesn't take responsibility for the fact that he makes errors that cost customers time and money. I brought my computer in do a simple upgrade. When I got it back, there was a new password on it that I had to call him for just to get into my computer, I couldn't get online and Microsoft Word kept crashing. I brought it back for him to fix the things that he screwed up and also asked that he install a new battery, which he said he would do. When I got the computer back, I asked if it had a new battery and he said no, because they take a few days to order. He didn't bother telling me that when I made the original request. Then I get home and find out my computer still doesn't work. I tried disputing the $85 he charged through my bank and they told me I had to dispute it with him because it was a service quality issue. I told him I wanted a refund and he claimed he "had to check his records" about the transaction and would get back to me, and he never did. He wasted my time and got $85 for doing nothing but making my computer less functional than when I started. People like him make life harder for other people who actually do work to earn their money.
I am so glad I found this place. I had 2 hard drives that couldn’t be read on my computer , they were old, and I was saddened by the possibility of not retrieving some old photos saved on there . Jeff brought them back to life , and to top it off he is such a nice guy. Truly a master of his craft! Very impressed ! He is my go-to guy for any computer issues going forward. A+

Such honest wonderful service! Truly an honest guy that was so helpful and fixed my problem in a heartbeat simply couldnt thank him enough and he didnt even want to charge me for it! You cant go wrong here not only is this the best tech shop in town it's also the most genuine and honest!
In an age where nearly all tech support is outsourced, Jeff Cohen's HTC is a true gem--a real neighborhood shop where you're treated like a friend every time you walk in. I brought my first computer problem to Jeff more than four years ago and I've been going back ever since--broken motherboard, crashed hard drive (Jeff helped me recover ALL of my data including pictures), and every type of crazy virus (he wouldn't quit until the virus was GONE). His prices beat the leading big box store and he won't charge you for the diagnosis. The shop is located conveniently in the center of Hoboken. He services both Macs and PCs and can also handle large network jobs as well as laptops. He also carries printer ink at competitive prices.
Best experience I've ever had in repairing anything! I had a computer with a failing hard drive - it made a squeaking sound and the computer wouldn't start right. I panicked, but the computer people did not. They removed my drive, used some special recovery software and were able to get all my stuff back. I watched the recovery run for about two minutes - it took 30 hours because the condition of the drive. I priced data recovery specialists before coming here. Prices ranged from $350 just to look at it up to $1500!!!! My charge from the Hoboken shop? $200 which included a brand new drive with all my files on it. I really could not be happier and learned my lesson - BACKUP! Highly recommended this shop to all my friends, and now to you :)

I went to get my iPhone screen replaced, something that should be a quick and easy. I was charged $85 for this which is ridiculously overpriced. I've never heard anyone charge above $50. I also had to wait overnightt for it, when this is usually a job that can be done overnight. He told me to come back at noon, and when I came back he said it wasn't ready yet. I didn't get an email until about two pm.
That's not the worst part though. Within a week, my screen started going bad. The screen became unresponsive to touch. It wasn't glued down properly and the LED started shining through the crack. The screen started going red wherever pressure was appled. Eventually, the red would spread until entire screen was sucha deep red it looked black. Of course it was completely unusable.
I went back and showed him the issue. I asked for a refund, and he told me that was "impossible." He said it was probably my fault because I was putting the phone in my pocket, which makes no sense because I have it in a case.He said he would fix it again, free of charge. He told me to come back at noon the next day -- it wasn't ready until after 6pm!
Again, within a week the screen was acting up again with similar issues. I went back and again he refused to give me a refund. I brought it to apple instead and they fixed my screen within fifteen minutes of seeing me. It has been over a week, and my phone is in great condition. Clearly the issue was this place and not my phone!
