I stopped in to look into transmission service. Was surprised when I was told I may not need to have it rebuilt and that it may just be a leak. They added some fluid and we'll see how it goes... But I was very happy they were very personable and they were not trying to upsell me!

They have been great to deal with and have gone above and beyond in service and explaining everything that I needed done and their prices were very reasonable

Best shop ever. I purchased a rebuilt 4L80e to put in my frame off restored 1979 Chevy truck. It’s been years now and it still operates perfectly. I love this shop, unfortunately I live over an hour away from it, if I lived closer I would use this shop for everything automotive. You won’t find anyone as knowledgeable as Wayne. His attention to detail and customer service acumen made everything an absolute incredible and educational experience.

I wish I could give one million stars!!! We walked in convinced that our friends vehicle needed a transmission and it turned out it was just a frozen cable and cost less than 220 to fix. They easily could have said sure no problem here’s the quote and honestly we would have said let’s do it. Instead they were honest and upfront, communicated every step of the way and did it all with respect and a smile. There’s a reason they have been in business for more than 60 years and it shows!!

I had the unfortunate circumstance of a blown transmission in my Jeep fall upon me recently. My years of landscaping locally had introduced me to Russell Auto, some twenty-odd years ago. I didn't hesitate to call them once this stroke of bad luck hit me. The price quoted, as well as the time frame and warranty, far exceed what I was expecting, BUT IN A REALLY GOOD WAY. The price, comparable to other shops, but the reputation that preceeds Russell Auto, is priceless. Once the job was started, the turn around on it was faster than I had anticipated. As the work was progressing, I was briefed on the goings on. I can't say enough great things about the team at Russell Auto. Hands down best transmission shops. Wayne and his team are incredibly knowledgable and thorough. We've had 2 transmissions for specialty cars go through there with excellent results. They also worked on one of our Daily Drivers and were able to diagnose and fix a problem that stumped other shops

They are a top notch 3rd generation family owned business. You don't get a more ownest group that this company. Who also stand behind their work I highly recommend them to anyone

I can't tell you how their work is but kevin is awesome. I have brought my car in twice in the past year to check on a small transmission leak. He's checked it, topped off the oil and told me to check again in 6 months. Great service

Spectacular Service! I have an extended warranty on my Ford F150. I was experiencing transmission problems and I called six different Ford dealers. No one could even LOOK at my truck for six weeks. When I realized that my warranty was not limited to Ford I called Russell Auto. They confirmed that they can work with my warranty. They got me in in less than a week. They quickly diagnosed the problem. They worked with my warranty company to approve a complete transmission replacement. I had my truck back to me in another week. I told them that I was using my truck to tow a camper to Florida in a few weeks and they took extra time to go through my truck and provide a few additional service items to prepare me for my trip. I could not be happier to recommend them.

Really fantastic experience with Russell Auto! We had an issue with our van that no mechanic had been able to diagnose and Russell Auto was able to identify the problem, explain it clearly, and work with us to get it fixed up! Fair price, incredibly knowledgeable staff. Having trust in your mechanic is invaluable, and they are the best around. I can't say enough about how much I appreciate their work.

I had a bit of an emergency with my transmission and was able to limp into the lot at Russell Auto with no appointment. A couple of hours later Tory called me to say they'd taken a look, and hopefully it would be a minor repair, which it turned out to be. My car was fixed by 2:00 the following day. I would highly recommend Russell Auto based on my experience, due to their customer service and professionalism.

Awesome work quick and a fair price! very happy! They did not try to sell me on work that did not need to be done I went to one place and they said the whole transmission had to be replaced so I took it to my buddy for a second opinion and he said it was just a sensor and to take it to russell's they will take good care of you and they did!!

You can’t find a more knowledgeable staff regarding transmissions anywhere. Honest and very reasonable. I brought an old Jeep 4 speed to them and was very impressed by how they showed me all of the pieces and explained what needed to be done and what didn’t need to be done. Top notch, couldn’t recommend any higher.

Called to get a quote to get my clutch replaced. The guy on the phone was very nice. Everywhere I called was about the same price range but I decided on here because of how nice he was. I dropped my car off a couple days early because I was going to be out of town for the holidays. Today was the day I was scheduled for and my clutch was replaced and my car was ready to go same day. Everyone I spoke to there was very kind and professional. No crazy upselling or making me feel like I don’t know what I’m talking about. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Took my Jeep Compass in for what I thought was a transmission problem. After a full road test and diagnostic, the transmission came up clean. Without hesitation my technician went right to the problem.... spark plugs. Problem diagnosed and repaired! The cost was quite reasonable and everyone I dealt with was more than friendly and accommodating. Chris & Alkie at Alex Auto Body were correct... Russell Auto Inc. is the first and only place you go for any transmission or mechanical problem.

They installed a dual disc clutch in my camaro for me. The entire experience was a pleasure. Communication was exceptional. It was finished quicker than i expected and was spotless when i picked it up. I could not be happier with the work they performed and would strongly recommend them.

These guys are great--more than fair prices, bend over backwards to get you the best deal. They looked into one transmission and didn't even charge us for the labor when we decided it was just too expensive. Found us a nice deal on a used manual transmission for another car a year later and labor charge was minimal. Highly recommended!

I totally trust these guys! I found them four years ago and am relieved that I can count on them to do right by me! I know nothing about auto repairs and they know what they are doing! I have 2 older vehicles and they have done lots of repairs for me on both of them and they always do a great job! They are reasonably priced.They are really super friendly too! They have a neat waiting room if you don't have a ride. And their bathroom is clean too! My car has 185k miles on it and my truck has 252k on it. Thank you keeping them running!

I have been going to Russell Auto for the past year. The service is awesome. They rebuilt my transmission last year on my Chevy pickup, they also did my front brakes, They diagnosed my radiator problem and replaced it promptly. I will recommend them to anyone that needs auto repairs. Their prices are very fair

Experts! Competitive prices, super friendly staff who aren't looking to upsell. Your safety and your wallet are their first priority. They are knowledgeable about new cars and really helped us out with our 2012 Toyota Camry that had been shaking for more than a month at highway speeds and during acceleration as they had run in to and solved the problem for other clients before us by taking the time and care to figure out the problem

Dec 14, 2015. I just had something good happen for my boyfriend's...car in the shop at Russell's Auto Transmission on South Willow..they close at 5:30. Couldn't get there for that time so he knew how I needed my vehicle back so he said he'd go back to the shop for 7pm if I could get there! I was so happy. So not only did he go out of his way to help me but the bill was suppose to be around $850 to $875 then he told me $817. When I got there he told me just give him an even $800! Went above and beyond. Some nice people still left in this world and care about their customers! Thank you Tory! I'll be back when I need to be!
