I've been taking cars to Ken's for years. They are always friendly, with competent and professional mechanical solutions, great communication, reasonable prices, and above and beyond customer service.
Had totaled a truck some years back had it towed was fair priced and the employee that helped me went out of their way to help me retrieve belongings. Over all good service.
I Brought a vehicle that I just bought and told them what was wrong! They did awesome, however the second time I brought it it and told them it needed a 02 sensor and a crank sensor and they were like no it needs and intake valve cover and other covers replaced and that will cure your problem. They are a mechanic shop so listened to them...... Well $826.00 later it was NOT the problem and my vehicle is still dogging out and dying, tried calling and leaving a message to let them know, even messaged the number and they have completely ignored me and won't call me back! I will never do service with them again and hope you all see this as I am a woman who works full time and lives pay check to pay check!
Dont even hesitate - give them a call. Extremely Friendly, transparent, timely. I could not have asked for more as I needed my son's car fixed sooner than later.
Great quick efficient service! Our Toyota SUV had to be towed there on a Fri 4pm . It was diagnosed Mon 9am & repaired by Mon 4pm! We highly recommend Ken's.! We would use them again!
Update from 2yrs ago til now fall 2025: we continue to use Ken's A1 for our "senior" SUV services! They have done excellent service, repairs & even cked on things at n/c if nothing serious found! They are the best owner, staff & technicians! Good people!

I was driving around asking some places on labor for O2 sensor replacement because I had the parts already. Left my information and said they’d call me back with a price, and never did. Took my business elsewhere 3 weeks later.
Kind courteous and patient. They explain what's wrong and why they think it. If you need picked up or dropped off they bend over backwards to accommodate you. Very professional and affordable. Also great sense of humor. I have spent money and time trying to get to car fixed else where and getting no where and bringing it here and getting fixed right the 1st time.
I was working out of town and on my lunch break when I called and asked about an alternator. They were super busy but got me in and done before I was finished at work. Thanks so much!!! And gave me a ride back to work! Great shop.
Friendly service and was able to get my truck back on the road after I broke down in town the night before. Even though they were super busy and short handed (everyone is these days it seems), they took care of me so I didn't have to make a 3rd trip back 2 hours away. AND, they helped me to warranty the new 4 mont old alternator that took a crap! These guys are the best. I highly recommend them! Thank you!
I have had numerous repairs done at Ken’s, and I have to say that I am extremely satisfied, very honest and do excellent work. I recommend them to anybody and everybody.

Ken, Ray, and the crew are always friendly and helpful and I know that when I bring my vehicle there I won't be taken advantage of and any work performed will be the highest quality! We won't take our vehicles anywhere else.
Brought car in for some issues. Get call all breaks are bad and rusted weathered horribly need complete breaks front and back calipers rotors and pads replaced. Brought to different garage breaks were completely fine pads new and rust was easily removed with finger nail. But the real issue was the front suspension was completely broken with new sway bar and struts needed. Not sure why this shop didn't see leaking broken spring but complete break job that wasn't needed. Maybe new mechanic or off day. Don't think I would use this place again.
We had a truck break down on our way to Canada, for a vacation. We towed the truck to their lot, without any notice. The shop was closed, although an employee was in the lot on this Saturday and took the time to speak with us. He make me feel so much better and we made arrangements to continue to Canada. The shop kept in constant contact with us. GREAT people!!!
Friendly staff. Had our car in and out in 3 hours. Went for a balance for the kids car and left with many new parts but now it's safer for when she drives in the Minnesota Indy everyday to work!
Ken's A1 is the best around!!! Called for my tow, they were here within 20 mins!! Fixed my van and I was on the road! Great service, super friendly, timely, and very fair, affordable prices!!!

I'm very satisfied with the work Kens A1 recently did on my 2002 crewcab F250 turbo diesel. With 418,000 miles on this truck a good mechanic is definitely needed to keep her on the road.. Shes a big heavy duty truck most shops don't have lifts capable of lifting such a heavy & long truck.
They had a large wrecker come tow my vehicle since my tie rod snapped, and had the vehicle back to me in less than 48 hours. I was extremely happy when I didn't have any other additional parts or labor on the bill. I asked them to replace a steering component I thought was bad. The mechanic said not only was that part good, so we're the other components I was wprried about (ball-joints & u-joints).
With this struggling economy its hard to find a shop thats not trying to squeeze you when they have the opportunity to do so. Kens A1 were honest on their bill and inspected my vehicle for any other possible potential issues.
This shop has my trust and my business for the life

Kens A-1 the best automotive/truck repair on the range
Ken's replaced the motor on my 2001 Camry. The motor ran fine, except I had a problem
with the motor dying out at stop signs, stop lights, etc. When I told Ken's about the problem, they immediately told me to bring it in. All parts involved with the throttle were replaced
free of charge. They even fixed an emissions problem which was unrelated to the motor
change and didn't charge me. Car is running super now. Ken's has taken care of my vehicles
for over 30 years. To put it simply, I trust them. I have never had a complaint about their
service or professionalism. They have earned the highest rating possible. I appreciate
having a local shop which demonstrates integrity that one can have confidence in when
needing advice about auto maintaintence.
Excellent Service! I received estimates in Minneapolis (at my car's dealership and an import repair shop) for two repairs my car needed. Both estimates totaled approximately $1200.00+. I was in town, and brought my car to Ken's A-1. My car was repaired for a small fraction of the cost. Also, I got it back the same day. I cannot say enough about the service I received.
It was a nice feeling to be dealt with in a professional and honest manner. I will use them again and encourage my friends and family to do the same.
The staff was helpful, but when my boyfriend told them to check on parts prior to him bringing his car in they didn't. They never called an left him a message saying they weren't going to do the work so when he got there after work he was shocked. I don't think we will go back there for any repairs.
I've been here a few times in my life to get work done on my vehicles. Always did a great job. If there was a problem that arises after driving my vehicle out that's related to what was fixed by them they were quick to respond to it and fix the problem without charging me. A big plus to Ken's was the loaner cars that was nice, but unfortunately they're not doing that no more which was a big plus. I hope one day guys go back to offering loaners because that was a big perk. Great staff. I recommend this place to anybody.
