I need a pair of gas springs to hold up the hood of one of my vehicles, I need a pair that is not searchable by year make and model as it's a custom installation. I need 75 lb units with half inch body diameter, 20 inches center to center extended length compatible with 10mm ball stud interface and 9 inch collapsed travel. The employee was unable to look up gas charged springs by dimensions details. He was helpful otherwise.

I had an amazing experience at this advanced auto location. Billy the GM helped check my battery (which then needed to be replaced after my car did not start) and it was a quick and easy replacement. In addition, Billy answered my questions as I watched the installation and gave me helpful tips to remember. The other employee working was also very friendly. I will be coming back with any of my auto needs!

I went in today to purchase a new battery for my car. It says they offer free installation. I asked if they could install it for me one of the men asked the other if they had the staff for that today as if I was an inconvenience to which it was responded “oh yeah we do” followed by “we won’t be able to though because it says here it’ll take 45 minutes to replace your battery and we don’t do the complicated ones, maybe try battery plus off excelsior.” So I did just that. And let me say I purchased my battery (cheaper than it would have been at this store by the way) and had my old one out and new one put in by an amazing man by the name of Steve. I was out of batteries plus in less than 25 minutes! As a woman who already feels uncomfortable going into auto parts stores that was just turned away for what was clearly a lie that was very frustrating and upsetting. I will not be back.

Bought a battery here and they installed it. 2 months later the battery won’t hold a charge. Employee says I need to bring the battery in for testing, but I’m here so I say take it out now. He says he can’t, they aren’t allowed to remove a battery, except they removed the old one when they installed it so? Then he says he can’t do it now because he’s the only employee. So basically, they find every possible excuse not to honor a warranty. Stay away

Tried to order headlights online and do store pickup for a 2018 Chevy Cruz that matched my specs on the website. Associate said they didn’t have the headlights in stock (even though they were listed as in stock) and gave me a set of Xtravision H11 headlights. Come to find they didn’t fit and wouldn’t take them back because they had been opened. Terrible store policy.

I wish I would have asked the young man's name when I was there, he had longer blonde hair and had a red winter jacket. I was very appreciative of the service I received on Monday when I visited! I was almost certain I needed a new car battery, and I he listened to me and checked to make sure they had the right battery in stock. He helped check my Subaru's battery, alternator, and starter and determined it was indeed my car's battery. He changed it while I got to relax in my car (I always appreciate a little quiet time because I am a teacher...ha). Before I left, I said thank you and he responded "Happy to help!" Great experience.

Exceptional customer service. The General manager Billy is extremely knowledgeable and can help with just about anything. I never felt like I needed to go anywhere else. Even if some where else did or does sell something for cheaper this store is always my go to just because the customer service is top tier.

The Advance Auto store in Knollwood has the best manager. I have been there for wiper blades and windshield wiper fluid this year. The manager is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He goes out of his way to help me with installation and goes above and beyond to ensure that my vehicle is running safely. This store is my go to for help.😊

I have to give a shout out to Billy, the GM. Every time I go here, he provides the absolute best customer service anyone could ask for. I appreciate his knowledge, willing to help and going above and beyond to make me a satisfied customer. And before posting this, I read through some of the other reviews, and to no surprise, many others wrote a positive review that included his name. This is the only auto parts store I shop at.

This location is most always out of stock on everything. May as well just head to Lake Street & save yourself a stop- as you'll end up going to Lake Street location or ordering for pickup in a few days anyway.

My 83 year old mother had a taillight go out on her minivan and wanted some oil. So, we headed to the auto store. We were greeted by Billy, later found out he is the General Manager. I have to say he is one of the most helpful, patient and pleasant people that I have met in a long time. My mom even asked me if she should be tipping him. He replaced the bulb, on top of that he checked her oil level and all the other fluids for her. Thanks so much Billy for everything you did for us !

I brought my 83 year old mother here to get a bulb for a burnt out light on her minivan. Billy was amazing !!! He told my mother to pull up right in front of the building. He checked every fluid, transmission, oil, brake, even the blinker fluid. Lol Also, just he replaced her burnt out bulb. I honestly can't even remember the last place that I have been they had someone with such a pleasant attitude and so helpful !!! Then I said if your name tag says general manager !,? Such a humble man. Thank you so much Billy for helping my mom ! Keep up the awesome work !!!

When we discovered that my battery wasn’t in good condition, Billy didn’t just point us to a new one — he helped me pick out the perfect replacement and even installed it on the spot! He was incredibly kind, patient, and had such a warm, genuine smile throughout the whole process. bought a battery from there and asked for it to be installed. When they were removing the bracket that keeps the battery in place, the hook broke. instead of replacing it with material that they had in the store, they sent me away and told me they couldn’t help me. i had to scramble to find another auto part place to install my battery.

The shelf price for the item I wanted was not accurate. I brought the item, marked $84 on the shelf, to the counter, and the dismissive employee told me that isn't the right price, it's actually $139. Well, why doesn't it say that on the shelf? So I put it back and left and he didn't say a word. Extremely unhelpful and unprofessional - you only get one chance to make a good first impression!

Everyone was very friendly to work with. Had to special order a battery, was told it would be there the next day- it wasn’t. Left my number to get a call when the battery came in. Called two days later- oh yeah it’s here, let me put a sticky on it. Very friendly, but no one seems to communicate with each other. I’m grateful I kept my receipt (though I wasn’t told to) because it doesn’t seem their system even has the ability to look up who ordered what, for who, when, and if they paid or not. Plus when I arrived, they couldn’t even find where the battery was set aside. Best part of the experience was the younger blond gentleman who did his best to help me install the battery, even though he was the only one working and couldn’t really leave the store unattended. If you have basic needs (in and out, don’t need a part ordered) this store is great. Otherwise it leaves a bit to be desired. All issues were logistical. Everyone on staff I dealt with was incredibly helpful and kind. Maybe they just need to come up with a better system to communicate with each other.

Quinnten is the man! Great service team with knowledgeable and helpful staff. When my cars battery died, Quinnten let me take his portable jump starter for free to jump it. I’ve visited this AAP multiple times before and have never had a bad experience. 5 stars 👍🏼👍🏼

Bought headlights from here and on the package it says white lights, and when I installed them they turned out to be yellow. I try to return them and advanced auto doesn't take returns or give refunds if the package is open. What kind of backwards ripoff are they pulling? I feel cheated and would not recommend advanced auto parts to anyone I know.

So two strikes never going back. Bought an alternator here. Installed it. Still had electrical issues. Tried taking it back "we can't take it back because it's used, verified correct for you truck, and it tests good." I end up wasting a ton of time going down every internet rabbit hole repair to no avail. I gave up and took it to Chevy. Cost me a ton of time and money to find out they had sold me the wrong alternator from the start. I should have never accepted their off brand part in the first place. Today, changing the oil on my truck. Couldn't get the oil filter off so I ran up and grabbed a filter wrench. Went home got stuck in a conversation with my neighbor for about an hour. Afterwards go to take off the filter and the wrench is broken in the package. I go back to the store about 90 minutes later and they refuse to exchange it because "its clearly been used." This was the same guy I had just bought it from 90 minutes earlier. "Maybe it looks used because you repackaged a broken tool!" I guess this big brain thinks I'm trying to run a scam for a $9 tool. It was the same employee for the alternator and wrench. Worst auto parts store in the world. Do not go here. Just wish I could pick zero stars.

Staff was extremely helpful. Was trying to help someone jump their car to no avail. Stopped by to see if anyone could help. Employee was able to help diagnose the issue and get us the tools we needed to fix the problem. Got the car up and running again thanks to the helpful employee behind the counter!

The store clerk came over to help me when he noticed I had been staring at my phone for a while. Not only was he helpful in getting me the correct air filters I needed, but he was super cute to boot. Filters are now installed and I'm breathing clean air once again. I'll be a return customer when the time comes.

Great experience, took 30 seconds to get someone to test my battery. The readout on their machine is clear and easy to understand. I had them replace my battery and the one they recommended me was actually reasonable, as I could have paid way more for a battery that would also fit. They installed it quickly while I just chilled in the car. All in all it took like 15 minutes! Perfect experience.
