This is a great place to take outdated computer components to. They destroy the hard drive, while you watch, so you know it's useless! They also take the cords & keyboards. The gentleman who greets you & takes the equipment inside is such a nice guy! So good to know all that all that doesn't end up in the landfill!!!
Outstanding service. I watched him drill FIVE holes in each hard drive (Banks usually do just one or two). He took my old computers, monitors, wires, and will even take old, flat screen TVs (but not CRTs, go to ERG in Livonia for those). I tried to tip him I was so happy, but he politely refused. Great experience and piece of mind knowing my I for is safe.
This is a great place for recycling newer electronics! The owner, Al, was incredibly nice and made sure to show me how he destroyed the hardware. Be aware that the place is a bit hard to find! If you use your navigation system and it tries to lead you through a cemetery, ignore that, drive to Joy Rd instead, and look for a rectangular building all the way in the back at their house number.

I'm happy I found this place. I recycled 3 laptops and a few other small items. I'm most impressed with the destruction of my hard drive. Al (recycling staff) added multiple holes with a drilling tool to 3 hard drives, and added liquid to ensure the drive was destroyed. Thank you, Al, for your help and expertise. I was very happy to find this location in order to recycle my old laptops and computer. They were fast and efficient and destroyed my hard drives while I was there. And there was no charge! It was in a bit of a run down location without very clear signage, but I sure was glad I found it!
Free SSD/HDD destruction and you can witness the owner Al destroying the storage devices right in front of you. They also took 20 years plus worth of network, audio, video, cabling, and computer equipment to recycle it without any charge.
Great customer service. I brought four laptops and two computer towers this week. All hard drives were removed at my request and destroyed while I waited. I will definitely use this company again.
We took 20+ years of computer stuff to NCR. We asked that 4 of the hard drives be destroyed. The owner had us stay and watch as he drilled them out. We will definately use this company again. All of this for free!!!

I called in advance, the stuff was very nice, transparent and informative. I dropped off 18 computers and laptops, they destroyed all the hard drives right in front of me. They could sell them online but they won't because they care about customer's privacy. Recommended to whoever want to recycle their old computers and other electronics.

National Computer Recovery (NCR) meets a valuable and important need that many people have. Al Makled is a great person to work with. He met me in the parking lot and brought a cart over for me to unload into. I had multiple boxes of stuff to recycle: cables of all types, old phones digital cameras, CD/DVD players and many other miscellaneous household electronics that had passed their 'use by' dates. I also had my kids' old laptops and Al took the time to explain how he would remove the hard drives and makes sure that he made them unusable to make sure that my data and privacy were protected and then did the work in front of me, in just a few minutes. The only things he can not take are old style CRT TVs and computer displays. I highly recommend NCR as a great business to work with and Al a terrific professional to work with!
