If I could give them no stars, I would they’re scamming! I got a call saying they could not complete my alignment because my lower control arms upper control arms (front and back) and inner and outer tie rods are all bad I said that’s funny because I’m a mechanic and I personally replaced everything myself so I know they’re good (only reason why I came here is because I don’t have an alignment machine) I had the receipts for all the parts so I go up there only to get told “oh well your rack and pinion is leaking from the seal” never said anything until they seen I knew what I was talking about so that’s why they couldn’t do it lol this shop is full of rookie’s, they struggled to even get my car on the hoist I watched it off of their own camera smh I only went to pioneer because of the Groupon deal went down the street to Midas and they had me out in 1hr with alignment complete crazy I had to pay $45 to them, I would never come here again for an alignment I will be notifying Groupon about your scamming! (Don’t comment and say I’m lying like you do to these others comments because again I replaced everything that needed to be replaced so you guys couldn’t say that because I read the reviews and I thought because I’m a mechanic I could easily say I replaced everything personally and they wouldn’t pull that but they’re just a rip off!) Go to Midas down the street! Pioneer auto should be ashamed, you guys are a major reason why good mechanics get looked at sideways because scammers like this shop horrible!!!

This was my first time coming here and the service was great! DJ was very upfront and clear about the steps of the process as well as the cost. I was satisfied with everything overall. I will definitely return for future maintenance on my vehicle!

I went into this auto repair shop and I must say I was very impressed! Dj and Rob are extremely professional and courteous. This is an honest and reliable shop. They didn’t try to over sell me and they told me the truth about what’s going on with my vehicle. I highly recommend them for all your automotive service needs.

I called in and talked to a guy by the name of Dustin who was actually really friendly and helpful. Gave me some really good advice and also was very knowledgeable. I’m gonna go to this place here in a couple weeks and get some work done. It was nice to actually talk to somebody and he took the time out to explain things to me and did not make me feel like I was rushed. Thanks again Dustin for the conversation on the phone I will see you in a couple weeks thank you again

Let’s be clear — the issue was never confusion about Groupon details. The issue was that your business responded to a customer by calling them a “donkey.” That was unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely unnecessary. I stand by what I said regarding your advertisement. Instead of addressing it professionally, you chose to insult me publicly. An apology that dances around the real problem doesn’t fix it. Businesses should treat customers with respect To Pioneer Auto Car Care, Let me be very clear: your response calling me a “donkey” was entirely unprofessional and unacceptable. Making insulting remarks from behind a keyboard is not how a reputable business conducts itself. At no point did I bring my truck to your shop. We spoke only on the phone, and during that call you stated that you could not perform front alignments on lifted trucks. I accepted that and requested a refund—especially since nowhere in the Groupon does it mention any restrictions regarding lifted vehicles. For your information, I am an ASE Certified Master Mechanic with over 40 years of experience, including extensive alignment work. I know exactly what I’m talking about, and I do not appreciate being dismissed or disrespected. Your comment was out of line and uncalled for. A professional business would issue an apology, I purchased a Groupon for a front-end alignment at Pioneer Auto Car Care. Nowhere in the Groupon details did it state that they cannot perform alignments on lifted trucks with oversized tires. After purchasing, the owner told me their shop is not able to handle my vehicle. The new shop manager DJ was friendly and great to deal with. Came in for an oil change and didn’t feel pressured into anything beyond the oil change which is real nice. Being a girl, shops always seem to try to sell you on so much more even when you know you don’t need it. Thanks for doing a great job, I’ll be back in the future.

Very disappointing experience, ignorant, and rude employees. Charged me for programming rack and pinion when they couldn't do it! They said the part is no good you need to replace it. I went to another guy and he reprogrammed it in no time. I don't recommend.

I came into this shop to get a wheel alignment and both interactions (On the phone and in-person) I had with the receptionist, Angel, were exceptional. She was very polite and thorough. The mechanic that performed the alignment was very knowledgeable and observant about anything that may be going wrong or about to cause issue on the vehicle. All-in-All, good experience and I recommend them

This review is in regard to customer Javier Moore who wrote 1 star review. I was waiting for my Oil Change to be complete and I overheard Javier's conversation with Angel and Jerry. Both Angel and Javier were very professional, never raised their voice and did not hang up on the customer. Javier did not like the answer as he asked Pioneer Auto to break policy. Just because Javier did not like the answer does not mean he got poor service and did not justify him yelling on the phone and saying he got a lower service level which was not at all true. To try to disparage people and company based on non-truths and writing a poor review is not professional on his end.

ANGEL and Jerry, gave some of the worst customer experiences I have EVER received. Angel hung up on me as I was on the phone and talking to her asking a simple question. Jerry continued to cut me off as I was talking to him. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

First time being here, Groupon brought me in. Everyone there was friendly and my alignment went well. I do know a bit about cars and there was no upsell which is huge in my book and I’ll definitely use this shop again in the future. Thanks guys

I bought tires from Walmart under the premise that they would give me free tire rotations, After Walmart turned me away from their store in new Hudson twice. Even after I made an appointment. I drove about a half hour away to Pioneer auto in Westland. They were pretty busy but they didn’t turn me away. And I got a pretty good deal. I would go to the shop again !

I agree with Robert. Got a wheel alignment coupon from Groupon, thought it was gonna be quick and easy. Nope simply I have a rotted bushing in one of my lower control arms and was denied the wheel alignment. Not like I was asking for a warranty on it. 35 bucks for a diagnosis. I paid 36 for the wheel alignment. 380 for the repair for a 80 dollar control arm that takes 15-20 mins to replace. Then the mechanic tells me the brake rotors have hot spots. Yes. I just recently swapped them and I had embedded them. 10 years of being a friction dynamometer tech at Tenneco should give me better knowledge on brake systems than the average mechanic. Ended up taking it back to another shop to have it looked at. It wasn’t dry rotted. It was the at205 I had sprayed to condition the bushing. So I don’t believe realistically most of their mechanics are even ase certified. Technicians. Right really certified my rear. My car is more prestine then your dump you call a shop. Stop advertising on Groupon if you’re so well off.

Purchased a Groupon for an alignment, only to be told AFTER having my car in the back for an HOUR that they couldn’t service my car because it’s a 2024 and their equipment “isn’t updated for newer vehicles.” I’ve never heard of anything so ridiculous. It feels like they lure customers in with Groupon deals just to take your money, especially since nowhere on the Groupon does it list any limitations or disclaimers. Complete waste of money and an hour of my time. Absolutely do not recommend. UPDATE AFTER OWNERS REPLY: “If you're so adamant about getting your alignment done and it's the 2024 you should be under warranty from the dealer. Why would you even buy a Groupon?? Read the fine lines before you purchase something next time” Who would want to spend money with such a business that speaks to their customers as such? Very rude/unprofessional And CLEARLY completely uneducated about cars, what dealership do you know that covers alignments under warranty?? Wheel alignments are natural “wear and tear” maintenance on a vehicle which unqualifies it for warranty! How as the owner of an AUTO SHOP do you not know that? and also nothing in the “Fine print” of the Groupon does it mention that their machinery is SO OUT DATED and OLD that it cannot properly align a vehicle that is now nearly THREE years old like I said HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I had a terrible experience here at Pioneer Auto Care. The customer service was awful, the staff were as rude as could be, sarcastic, and dismissive when I asked simple questions. Instead of helping me, they acted like I was bothering them. Definitely not a place I’d recommend if you value being treated with respect. I wouldn't recommend at all.

I had a disappointing experience with this auto care shop due to false advertising. I purchased an oil change through Groupon, and the shop listed one price without mentioning any additional fees. However, when I showed up, they tried to charge me an extra $55 on top of what I had already paid. This information could have—and should have—been disclosed in the advertisement. Instead, I drove all the way there only to be surprised with hidden costs. This feels misleading and unprofessional. Transparency matters, especially when customers are trusting your business with their time and vehicles.

Went in for an alignment. Because the shop I always go to was a little busy. I would check them out. Due to control arms needing to be replaced. They wanted to charge 1100. We didn't agree to have them do the control arms for 1100 they wanted to charge $35 which was never agreed! Jerry didnt want to give the keys back until mention of the police. Then knowing that since there was NO MONEY EXHCHANGED AND NO WORK WAS DONE they cant charge it. Everyone needs to go to A and Q 1716 S merriman in westland which is another shop who cares for the customer and is not gouging customers. YOU NEED YOUR CAR FIXED GO TO A AND Q IN WESTLAND

The gentleman at the desk was very Personable and I don’t feel they could have a better person for the job! The lady at the desk across from the place you check in was pretty amazing too! I have the worst people anxiety, and they literally made me feel like I was at home! They were very informing about pricing and the things they could, and could not do ahead of time! I would take my car back! I definitely recommend you take your car there and see for yourself! Cheat code: check Groupon! Very affordable discounts!

Exceptional customer service, all around outstanding experience! We were in for a 4 wheel alignment after having our suspension completely overhauled at another shop that could not do the alignment. The young mechanic who was working on the vehicle noticed right away that there was a issue with one of the tie rods, the boot was torn and it was leaking. He understood that we had done the work elsewhere that we would return to them to get the issue resolved. They did an excellent job communicating with us not to mention understanding what needed to take place. With that said, we decided to go ahead and just let them fix it after we discussed it with the shop who had done the work and said they would go ahead and refund us the difference. We could have very easily left and gone on back to the shop where we had started, but decided we wouldn't do that out of respect for the way this job does business. Thank you for your honesty and that goes a long way in this line of work...

Took my SUV here for a pre purchase inspection and everyone here was great. From the front desk guy Jerry, to Abe who reached out to me to keep me updated regarding my vehicle, the mechanic and even the ladies who work here. Everyone was professional and was able to assist me. They even offered to help me find a rental car if it was needed. I would definitely bring my car back here.

Brought my car in here because they were under my warranty. The job they did was fantastic. It did take a bit to get all the work done, but even as frustrating as it was I also understand that the best shops are the busiest, especially if they are a warranty shop. Abe was great at communicating and keeping me in the loop. Outside of the length of time it took this shop was great, and somewhere I’d definitely return too.
