And I'm gonna tell you one of the MAJOR reasons is the scale they use is PERFECT ! I've always wondered when I cash my scrap in, how do I know if the scale is right. I mean for the most part I have no idea and I'm sure none of us really do. That being said , I made a video earlier this afternoon and put the scrap on my scale at home. It came out to 29.4 lbs with the tote. So I pull in about 9 minutes before they close and even with a packed lot. One of the nicest staff members in that yard let me in. So I carry my tote up and set it on the scale. I really thought they were going to say a lower number then 29 and guess what. I looked up with doubt and saw 29 ! Wow , what more could you ask for. ? A super friendly staff and a scale that don't lie ! Why the Sam hell would you go anywhere else ? I know for a fact , that IS MY YARD FROM NOW ON ! If you want to see the video let me know. This business is under new management. I have been go there for four years and today I went there and it was all bad. My job creates truck scrap and as the manager it is my job dispose of it. I was there just a few weeks ago and I went back today and I was told they are not buying scrap from customers of the former business, only new customers. I was rudely told to leave and not come back. Your business isn't going to do well if you turn away customers. This location is far from my shop and the only reason I went there was because the prices are good and the people were nice, that is all gone now. there are plenty of other scrap yards in the area, stay away from this one.
The normal guys are good people they no what there doing and never scam or short you,you can ask questions and they won't hold you up, the fork lift drivers are sweet drivers too
they will rip you off hardcore. i had a lot of grade a aluminum and i recycle it all the time and iv been doing it for a really long time casue i get all kinds of it from my job so i knew exactly how much i had and exactly how much i would get for it at any other place. there price was 50 cents a pound at the time and i got about $80 for over 300lbs which i would have gotten at least $150 anywhere else. there scale is cruddy and old and looks like it dont even work. the employees were horrible. one guy was playing on his phone the whole time i was standing out there waiting for some kind of customer service there all lazy and rude and the place is a rundown ghetto craphole. dont take your scrap here go to the place right down the road they will treat you right
