On Saturday night, 7/12/25, my husband and I hit a pan, yes a pan, in the middle of the northbound lane on US-31 near the airport. We couldn’t avoid it due to oncoming southbound vehicles. We pulled in the parking lot and immediately smelled gas. There was gas pouring out from under our vehicle. We live 3 hours from Manistee so we called 9-1-1 and they sent Cliff from Van’s Towing as well as a deputy from Manistee County Sheriff’s Department. Cliff then towed our vehicle to Linke’s for repair. However, on Monday when we called Linke’s, we found out they don’t replace gas tanks on vehicles as well as two other repair shops in the area don’t service gas tanks. Cliff also called my cell phone on Monday morning to check on the status of our vehicle. I told him the situation we were in. He took it upon himself to find an auto repair shop to fix our vehicle and also towed it there at no extra charge from the original tow. He towed it to Parkdale Auto Sales & Service and they repaired our gas tank and we were able to pick it up on 7/21/25. Thanks again Cliff for going above and beyond!

When folks are in need of a tow, you are very often frazzled and aggravated, and his kind demeanor is refreshing and appreciated. Excellent customer service, and prompt response time! We cane to Manistee from Indiana for a long weekend visit. Before even making it our destination our vehicle died on the side of the road. We had no idea how to call or what we were gonna do without a vehicle! DJ came to our rescue, refereed us to a fantastic mechanic & help with finding a rental. Weekend saved!! Thank you so much!!
My Nissan wouldn't start and I called for a tow to the mechanic. Dillon answered the call ticket and after asking about what's going on with my car he tried a battery charger and got my car running!! I'm very thankful for his help, advice and being so kind!! Again, thank you so very much Dillon!!
Called on a Saturday evening around 6pm because my sister had locked the keys in her car at the beach. A business that is located almost an hour away was there in 40 minutes and had the car unlocked in less than 10 minutes. Saved the day.
I had to run for work and locked my keys in my car. Dj showed up quickly and solved my issue within 5 minutes. I highly recommend vans for any towing or lockout issues. Great service!!
My husband and son got stuck in the snow deep in the woods after dark while deer hunting. Van’s went out and pulled them out, made sure they got to the main road, then called me to let me know they were safe and on their way home. Kevin was very calm and reassuring. We are all grateful for their help and recommend them highly.

Had a flat tire on the way home from the beach. Called my insurance and A wonderful young man from Van’s quickly came and changed the tire. He was so helpful and he was so very nice!
