This review is in response to my recent phone call I had. Tried to get a hub assembly for my vehicle and was told that I need to place an order to get to me which wasn’t an issue. I asked what location was the closest one that would have it and he said Indianapolis. I then proceeded to call the Wayne location and they said they have 2 in stock. Seems like he was just trying to keep business to himself instead of pointing me in the right direction EFFICIENTLY. That’s not efficient having me wait another day when a store in the SAME COMPANY has what I need.

Was trying to sell my car and they had the codes scanned, the worker INSISTED my cars odometer was rolled back which is 1000% not the case. I have all documents to prove milage is correct. We were able to remedy the mistake thankfully, but nearly cost me a $5000 sale due to negligence and misinformation.

I am writing this review specifically about my most recent service experience. To be clear, my previous two visits to this O’Reilly location were excellent, which makes this experience especially disappointing. When I asked about an AGM battery, the employee’s first response was a condescending, “That will be much more expensive.” DUH??? 😂 I did not need to be warned as if I were unaware of the price difference. From that moment on, it was clear my knowledge was being dismissed. From testing to installation, the same employee displayed visible irritation and impatience, despite the fact that I requested nothing beyond standard service. While I understand it was cold outside, taking that frustration out on a customer is unnecessary and unprofessional. After installation, no basic charging-system check (such as alternator output) was offered, reinforcing how rushed and incomplete the service was. During the initial install, I correctly raised the concern that a height adapter might be required, as the Group 34PLT battery is shorter than the factory Group 24. I was immediately brushed off. After leaving, I confirmed the battery could be moved by hand, literally an unacceptable safety issue and a known cause of premature AGM battery failure. I was forced to return for reinstallation. On my return, the same employee and a colleague openly exchanged annoyed looks and expressions in front of me. Feel free to complain and vent when customers are gone, but this behavior was simply disrespectful and unprofessional. Additionally, my vehicle was handled roughly during both installations, and a weather seal was displaced and left uncorrected, showing a clear lack of care for customer property. To management: if you do not want customers returning for “fixes,” ensure the job is done correctly and safely the first time. I sincerely hope the quality of my Super Start Platinum AGM battery is the opposite of the service attitude I experienced, and that it lasts long enough that I never need to return to this location.

First snowstorm of the year and my battery died. Got a jump and drove to O'Reilly to buy a new battery. Tyler installed the new battery in the wind and cold and sent us on our way. Great customer service!

WE CAME IN FROM GRAND RAPIDS TO GO TO WOLVERINE LAKE...Our battery light came on John help us he was amazing he checked our battery and alternator and found alternator bad he sold us a new one and charged our battery so we could get to our destination thank you so much...I replaced it at our destination and it worked perfect.👍👍👍

I called to get a part for my truck. The fitting that goes on the end of a heater hose that plugs in the firewall. They don’t even know what I’m talking about. I asked somebody didn’t know what he was doing to look it up . Maybe they need more training or something I don’t know, but I’ll never go there again

I need oil in my car my windshield needed replacing and my left blinkers was out. Omg let me tell you how great Max was he helped me fix every single thing I didn’t have to touch a thing. I offered Max a tip it wasn’t much but it was all I had left in cash he said no you’re ok u don’t have to tip me it’s my job to help all customer. I was so grateful for the assistance. Great job Max for being thoughtful and helpful!!!

Amazing customer service! Maxx and his coworker not only helped us find the proper replacement bulb for our car, they even installed it in the pouring rain. Thank you so much, you did not have to do that! We will be back!

It was mentioned that the coolant was 9.99 and was written as a hot deal. But Michael, the assistant manager, charged me 10.99$. When I asked him, he said it is what it is. Worst first experience.

Came in super stressed about an issue my car was having and JOHN was a Godsend. He helped me out and for the first time it felt like I could trust someone in this industry. He pointed me to everything that I needed without trying to upsell and was so helpful. Genuine good dude. Thanks, JOHN.

Had a headlight out and although it should have been a pretty easy bulb swap, it had been previously tied on too hard from the past owner. John came to the rescue with his brawn and saved the day and night! Thank you, John!

Employees were super unprofessional. If you’re looking for assistance with anything, I definitely recommend going to a different O’Reillys. These employees are not built for good customer service. I’m giving this three stars and not one because I only had an experience with two of the employees and not the rest of the staff.

Guy was super unhelpful. I don’t know much about cars so I lean on places like this to help me out. Check engine light was on and just needed a scan. Guy wouldn’t even do it himself. When I came back and nothing was on the scan, he didn’t offer any help or troubleshooting. Went to another O’Reilly and they helped me immediately and gave me the read out. I wasn’t asking for much.

Did not help me! I was going through a rough time and I couldn't breathe because of the severe weather advisory for heat. I didn't have ac. I had a can to recharge it and the only person willing to help me was an Irish man. He pulled up a 8 min video for me to watch to learn how to recharge the AC and after I watched it I was able to make it home to Ferndale Michigan in a much cooler environment and I felt so much better. Thank you for your kindness

Not sure why I shop here, other than it's close to home. Store employees aren't much help, unless know exactly what you're looking for. Then they can go find a box on the shelf and hand it to you with the best of them. I think I'm done with this location. Won't be back

My recent visit to the store was unfortunately tarnished by the poor service provided by the assistant manager, Jorden. The lack of effective communication and seeming absence of listening skills turned what should have been a routine visit into a challenging encounter. His demeanor was rather off-putting, making it seem as though he was doing me a favor when he reluctantly fetched an oil filter for me, even though I had to show him how to find the UPC code. I understand that everyone can have a bad day. However, if this type of service is typical of Jorden’s approach, perhaps it’s time to consider a career change. Unfortunately, as long as Jorden continues to work at this location, I would recommend others to consider avoiding it. This kind of service is unacceptable and not conducive to a positive customer experience. I’ve voiced my concerns directly to upper management, hoping it will bring about necessary changes for improved customer service. However I am reluctant to believe much of anything will happen.

Lazy employee's working at this location. Went in this morning and waited for one of the two guys behind the counter to help me (I was the only customer in the store). When one of them helped me they were short and walked away. I then left and went to Menards and bought the exact same item for 60% less. Huge savings and went to where I feel valued as a customer.

Picked up parts today. The boxes were pretty solid/dirt covered so I asked for a few bags to cover and carry the parts as I was wearing a dress sportcoat (No other customers in the store) The attendant was really irritated that I made the request, but he reluctantly put the bags over and left the counter without a word. Not a big deal but I had to make 2 trips to carry the parts, and not to mention kick the door open. You can do better O'Reilly's. And maybe that's the reason no customers are in the store?

I stopped by today to test what I suspected was a bad battery. Pat greeted, promptly checked my battery, confirmed my suspicions, gave me my options, and installed the new battery in the windy, blistering cold all in under 30 minutes. He was awesome and I’m so grateful for his help and fantastic service!!!

The store manager, Pat was very helpful when I needed a new car battery. He even installed it for me while it was raining outside. This is a type of customer service that you don't often see. Thank You O'Reilly in Novi, MI.

Just walked in a few minutes ago, was looking for a brake controller box and I just simply asked if this was the correct one for my truck. Ron behind the counter show no interest in helping me at all. Then wanted to see if it would be cheaper to put it on my business account, and show no interest in looking that up for me either. Overall is very unprofessional. And this is why I go to the O'Reilly's in South Lyon,w everyone's there wants to help you out. Never coming back to the Novi location. And this isn't my first bad experience with those two gentlemen inside.

Just walked in and while I wasn't greeted with a hello, an employee who was not with a customer did ask me what he could do for me. Caucasian male, bald, with glasses. I asked if the pulled codes, as I have a issue w my car. He said sure and then the phone rang. He proceeded to engage the caller about starters for a particular automobile. Not once did he place the caller on hold to address me nor did he look at me. I stood there for 3 to 5 minutes. If I could give zero stars for unprofessional and rude customer service, I would. Won't return nor shop here ever again.

Too many reasons to list in the short space but they went out of their way above and beyond to help me and the parts we are all reasonably priced and it was pretty quick service even though I had to keep coming back because I kept adding on to my projects but they didn't fail me
