This could not have been an easier experience. They brought my vehicle into their garage shortly within about 5 minutes to inspect it. I was informed about 20 minutes later that my online offer amount was confirmed. I had the title, and they were able to process all the paperwork and issue me a check shortly thereafter. On top of it all, they provided a complimentary Lyft ride back to my home. In total, I was at the location for no more than an hour. On top of that, the staff I dealt with were all very professional and friendly. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Everything was great. EXCEPT the Express pickup was anything but that. It took over 2 hours to get paperwork done. Also, when having to sign documents electronically the WiFi at the location was almost unusable. Other than that all the people there were fantastic.

I love their stance, the price is the price. No bs haggling. Our rep, Chris Andrews at the Westborough, MA store was fantastic and a 5* rep. I would recommend him highly. The loss of the 5th star is due to the time it took to complete the sale. We did everything up front so we could have the 45 minute express checkout they promised, including approved financing through CarMax 2 weeks before. Took 2.5 hours. Nothing to do with Chris. Some kind of plate issue, which could have been avoided had they told us about the issue beforehand, which forced us to come back the next day to pick up my new plate. The kicker was my wife had to come back too, as we bought the car together. She's a hair stylist and had to cut out on her clients early. Stuff happens. Not ideal, but I would gladly buy another car from Chris and CarMax.

James is friggin amazing I walked in he immediately helped me with everything I needed quick and easy helped me threw the whole process I would have walked out with the car yesterday if insurance didn’t take for ever not his fault at all he kept in touch with me threw out the next day so next day today everything was all set got my car and i am so grateful and so happy James is the best!! Thank you again !!

Carmax was amazing from start to finish. Codi was amazing, even the lady (I do not remember her name) that I was on the phone with was amazing. I love my car and I appreciate all the love and compassion that went into me buying my car.

I am so impressed and pleased with my experience at this store. Chris helped me find the perfect car! He was so helpful and walked me through the whole process clearly. There was no pressure. Found my perfect car in one afternoon, and picked it up the next afternoon. Such nice people!! Super impressed.

Bought a car (Armada) with them this week. It was a pleasant experience. Chris was very helpful and answered all my queries and made sure things were checked out and never had to spend more than an hour any time during the test drives and purchase experience. Purchased my vehicle yesterday. I had filed all the applications online prior to the appointment which made things easier. When I arrived I was early, and my salesman Chris was tied up, so Austin came to help get the process started. I have bought cars from dealers, private sellers, dealt with registry, this experience was NOTHING like any of those. Everyone was polite, professional, and wanted to make the process as easy as possible. I dont see myself returning to another dealership. Ill be sticking with Carmax. (It's been a day, so knock on wood i dont jinx this haha)

Great experience! We sold my vehicle to carmax today, what an easy experience. We did the pre-process online and arrived early for our appointment. The amazing staff quickly took care of us, getting us all situated and back out the door in under 20 minutes. Everyone we worked with were professional and made this the easiest vehicle transaction in a long time.

It's getting harder every day to make deliveries at this Carmax; the people who work here show little respect for the drivers who are delivering cars to them! They ask us to wait 5 minutes and then they take an hour.😡

I did not expect to be at CarMax, but I found a great car that I really enjoy. Very fair price. However, I feel like it's important that every vehicle come with at least two keys and the second key should have been made and given to me even if CarMax bought the car without one. It's a huge expense and very problematic to only have one

We have purchased cars from CarMax more than a few times. Each experience has been better than the one before. It is seamless, fair pricing, convenient, and above all, trustworthy. In all of our purchases, we had one small potential issue, which actually cannot be considered an issue because the staff worked proactively to resolve it quickly with solid communication throughout. They are quick to respond and truly look to make the experience simple and beneficial to all. We will continue to use CarMax for future purchases.

Do not at all costs buy from carmax unless you want to get scammed and lied to at every stage of the process. We picked out a Kia sportage that we, at the time didn’t know was put out at $2000 above market value. We did the paperwork for the approval of our loan and later found out the dealer Tony Coghlan put in that we had a $0 down payment after we already confirmed we would have a $3400 down payment (that we later changed to $4000) with no difference in the apr later. We also found out that they put my credit score in as 746 when in reality it is 771. We did our 24 hour test drive and didn’t and took the car to a mechanic who used to work at carmax and said he quit because he morally couldn’t work for a place that was scamming people so bad. We took it to another mechanic too where they found the car had been in an accident that carmax tried to hide from us. When we told the sales person he pretended not to know anything about it and that carmax couldn’t have known when in reality if they actually did the 125 point check that they claim to run on each vehicle they would have known (it is illegal to even pretend to not know when there is an obvious sign of an accident). Mind you I’m pregnant and they were perfectly fine with sending me out in a car that wasn’t in the condition they claimed, they also added extra air to the tires making the pressure 41 which the mechanic told us places do that to make the car more difficult to handle. So they were trying to get us to potentially pop a tire or even crash knowing just a break check can kill a growing fetus. When I brought this up they said they legally can increase it unless it gets to 50, so they’re aware that it was wrong and were scamming in their legal bounds. Finally when reviewing our paperwork (that they gave us a 1 hour time limit to fill out) we found that our apr was 16.39% which seemed insanely wrong and our mechanic asked to make sure they didn’t mean 6.39%. When I called to ask why the apr was 16.39% when the average is 11% it was Tony who answered and he had an attitude and claimed that he wouldn’t know anything about why they chose that Apr rate for us so he transferred me to the carmax auto finance people who was the only nice person I spoke to there and she said that it would be carmax business offices that would have the answer as to why it was so high. I got transferred to Alicia who I’m assuming got yelled at or something before the call because her voice was already shaking and she had a really bad attitude and said that it would be the finance department that would have the answer to my simple question, at this point I asked to speak to someone else because she was being so rude and unprofessional. When I told her what Tony had said to me already she tried to claim that there was no Tony that worked there until I told her I’ve already met with him in person there before so she dropped the act. That’s when I got transferred to a sales manager who tried to also play dumb and act like they have no control over the Apr rates and prices of cars. He had a very bad attitude he was yelling at some points and when I mentioned how we already had a past crash with the vehicle being hidden from us he said “it sounds like you just don’t like the car” and I said “the car can’t lie to me and overprice itself”. In the end 4 people talked to me and all 4 people were lying, 3 out of 4 were rude, and 0/4 answered the simple question as to why did they choose to give us a high apr of 16.39 when average is 11% and our credit and downpayment would have made the Apr lower than 11% instead of higher. Which is when we looked over the paperwork and found out they tried to get away with basing our Apr off of a credit score that was lower than ours actually is and a $0 down payment when in reality we are putting down $4000. The car was $13,998 for a car supposed to be priced at $11,000 but this car had been in an accident so in reality it should have been $9000. And everyone that works for this company is beyond morally corrupt.

I went to the CarMax in Westborough after going to the one in Danvers MA.. and not liking their options. ( I suggest looking at their cars online before deciding, when I went to the one in Danvers that was the first time I went to a dealership.. ever!) With that being said Tyler Hall at the Westborough location was very friendly and patient with me.. a first time car buyer - although I was sad to trade in my older vehicle. I think I made the right decision. Financially, because they were able to take my down payment and my credit score when alot of other places wouldn’t. The only downside is I wish they had more vehicles to choose from - which isn’t a big deal because I got the car ( 2025 Madza3 in black and I wanted it in red) Would highly recommend them! :)

I paid $150 to have a very pretty blue SUV moved from CarMax Long Island to CarMax Westborough. I didn’t know what to expect from CarMax. I’m 65 years old and have bought from dealers and private sellers over the years, but never a place like CarMax. I guess I thought it would be pushy sales people and lots of hidden fees - but spoiler alert - I was wrong. Online, the SUV was exactly what I wanted and spending 150 bucks to bring it close to me was cheap enough, so I took a chance and had it shipped. That process took about a week and then I got a text and call about making an appointment for a test drive. The onsite experience could not have been better. Ok, maybe stronger coffee, but that is just my coffee addiction talking. The sales person was thorough and knowledgeable about the vehicle. The test drive went really well. The vehicle was exactly as advertised online. Actually, better than advertised, because I still haven’t found the second paint chip they showed online. Maybe I am showing my age here, but the lack of sales pressure still seems weird. There was no sales pressure, the price was set, and there were no hidden fees. I mean, they did want to sell me a service plan, but it wasn’t a hard sell and the plan actually seemed pretty good. I passed on it because they are a bit far from me. Anyway, In conclusion, I bought the car and drove it off the lot a few hours later. The whole process happened in one visit. The price was a bit higher than I wanted to spend, but the mileage was lower and it was a newer model, so I went for it. Plus, it was impossible to walk away from such a “pretty" vehicle. I give CarMax five stars. It was an excellent shopping experience. Big smile when they put the ribbon on it, which makes no sense, but it was pretty fun.

CarMax has a great selection, and had the vehicle I was looking for. Worked with James, and he was AMAZING! Highly recommend. No pressure, very informative. Great shopping experience.

I got a really good deal, so far. I have had the vehicle for 2 weeks now, and no complaints for a 2015 car with 44,300 miles. From selection to financing to registering the vehicle was a quick and hassle-free experience. I would encourage you to make CARMAX your first stop in getting a new car or replacing an old one.

I am writing to express my frustration with the service I received at your dealership today. I arrived at the location ahead of time to request a quote for my friend’s car, about an hour before she was scheduled to arrive. Both of us were at the store by 4:45 p.m. and were told that it would take about 15–20 minutes before someone could assist us. After waiting for 15 minutes, I checked in again to ask whether anyone was available, and I also mentioned that I might be interested in test driving another vehicle while waiting. Unfortunately, I was told that I would have to wait another 15 minutes since there was one party ahead of me, and that I could only test drive after the vehicle estimate was completed. By 5:25 p.m., we still had not been called or assisted by anyone. At that point, I became very frustrated. Despite arriving early and waiting patiently, the lack of communication and delay in service were extremely disappointing. I value CarMax for its reputation for efficiency and customer care, but this experience fell far short of those expectations. I hope that management can look into this incident to ensure better scheduling and customer communication in the future.

CarMax makes car shopping simple. We have purchased two cars from CarMax and are likely to purchse cars only from them. Find the car(s) which appeal(s) to you online. The listed price is the only price, no haggling. Talk to a sales person who will take your information, and then drive the car yourself. If it meets your needs, figure out the financing with sales, which includes the CarMax offer on your trade-in, sign the final papers, and voila! You have a new car. Sweet and simple.

Hands down easiest no BS car purchase in the 42 years I've been driving. Researched the car I was interested in. Found one on CarMax with low miles. I paid to have it shipped for a test drive. The car exceeded expectation. CarMax was straight up with financing. Gave me several lenders to choose from and drove away with the car the same day. This will always be the way I buy a car now.

Sold us a car, engine blew 3 days later on the way home from the beach. Sat on the side of the highway for 3 hours waiting for a tow truck that they called and didn’t get home until almost 2am. Then lied to us saying it couldn’t be fixed and said they’d buy it back from us. After about a month of back and fourth, they fixed it and am now trying to register it at the rmv but we don’t have “the original title” apparently so we took a day of work off for no reason. Not to mention, getting calls from the Westborough location threatening us that they were gonna come and tow our rental if we didn’t bring it back on time? It seems like nobody is on the same page. This has been extremely frustrating & i just Need a car to get to and from work and i cant Believe how disrespectfully they talk to their customers who THEY have wronged. No apologies or anyone looking to make things right. If i could take this all back and go with a different company I’d do it in a heart beat this has genuinely been awful. Also the guy that works here named Sean was SUPER rude i cant Believe he talks to people like that. Insane.

The process of selling our vehicle to CarMax was easy and comfortable. We stated up front that we were not looking to buy a car, just sell ours, and there was absolutely no pressure to buy from them. The appraisal process was easy and quick, and the price offered seemed fair to us. All the staff we encountered - the welcome desk guy, the appraisal/garage bay folks, and the business office people - were professional, efficient, and pleasant. We appreciated the evening hours available, so we could come after work. Thanks for making our experience so hassle-free.

Great experience overall. From pre approved to approved financing, to transporting in a timely manner (earliest date they stated for arrive.) to already having the paperwork sign, sealed, and delivered. Definitely recommend this as it saves all the hassles at other dealerships. The added bonus they offer 10 day return if not feeling it. I am keeping mine and enjoying it. I highly recommend checking Carmax out for your next vehicle.

If you're like me and you hate the car buying experience then I highly recommend that you give CarMax a shot. The experience was unlike any dealership ever. Easy, lots of choices, no pressure! We had the pleasure of dealing with Nevanka. She is an amazing representative of the business. Knowledgeable, friendly, easy to work with. We'll be back on TUE to take delivery of a very nice 2018 Toyota Camry!
