I sure wish I read the reviews before dealing with Adam at the service department. He tells me I’m due for some flushes and I tell him that I believe I got most of them done. He ignores what I just said and then brings up how I can finance the flushes. As I’m waiting for my ride I overhear him try to swindle another person. I went home and checked my records and I was up to date with all my maintenance! Adam does not care about you or what you have to say. He just wants to finish his sales pitch so he can move on to the next person. I will post this review on every website until they change things!

The entire team from the sales rep to F&I were easy to work with and very responsive. Perhaps the easiest car buying experience I have had!

I am wholly impressed at the standard of customer service and professionalism set forth by this dealer. Keith, Mena, Bobby and Lisa treated me like a gentleman from the moment that I called. Although such treatment should be the standard this specific dealer goes above and beyond, especially when compared to others in the Industry.

Just purchased a car at this dealership today. I have to say it was the most frustrating car purchase in my lifetime. The salesman did a great job but the dealership isn’t able to accept ach bank transfers so I needed to wait 3 additional days to pick up the vehicle so they could receive my bank loan check. I definitely know where not to go for my next vehicle.

Gave me a roundabout on the vehicle, a test drive, and pricing, and wouldn’t accept that other dealers were giving out higher discounts and wouldn't play ball. Would highly recommend Robert at Quincy Ford, much more willing to play ball. I was told they would bring a truck from another dealership so I could do a test drive, I said ok and waited for the 2 days, only to be told to come in and work on paperwork when they didn’t even bring the truck for a test drive. Then they told me to kick rocks when I said it could be done remotely, since they don’t even have a truck to test drive.

This was an astonishingly unprofessional experience, made worse by the fact that it came directly from the General Manager, Scott Lewis. After reviewing pricing in person, I declined the deal due to an extremely high monthly payment for a base vehicle and clearly stated I was no longer interested. What followed was a series of emails from the GM that demonstrated poor attention to detail, defensiveness, and a complete misunderstanding of the customer experience. In his response, Scott referenced an entirely different vehicle than the one I came in for—despite claiming he had reviewed recorded calls, texts, and emails. That level of inaccuracy from a general manager is unacceptable. Rather than acknowledge the error, he pivoted into explaining and re-explaining numbers, reframing payments, and making assumptions about a deal at another dealership that he had no involvement in. The repeated attempt to justify pricing through internal tax breakdowns completely misses the point. Customers care about one number: the real, all-in cost they are responsible for paying. Trying to win an argument after the customer has already walked away doesn’t build trust—it confirms why they left. Even more troubling was the tone: dismissive, condescending, and argumentative instead of professional and concise. When a customer asks to end communication, the appropriate response is to respect that—not continue sending emails that double down on inaccuracies. If this is the standard of leadership at Herb Chambers Ford of Braintree, it explains a lot. I would strongly advise prospective buyers to take their business elsewhere.

This service department for this place is a complete rip off. Everything is overpriced from parts, labor, and diagnostics and their huge profit margin. Their estimates are meaningless. Expect to spend at least 25% more than the original estimate. Their attitude is terrible. They act as if they are doing you a favor by repairing your car at astronomically high prices. Avoid this place at all costs.

i’ve been bringing my explorer here for several years. the team is always super helpful, conscientious and good at communicating about repair status or concerns. recently i ended up with what would have been an incredibly expensive repair out of pocket to replace my leaking sunroof. however adam livingston was like my real life super hero! he worked tirelessly to have the replacement covered under my extended warranty. this involved him going well above and beyond with his time to ensure i paid ZERO $$ out of pocket. thank you adam and team!! highly recommend for honest and fair FORD service.

My dad went in for a just a recall and was greeted by Adam and paid over a thousand dollars in maintenance services that he did not need yet. My dad who is much older was told by Adam that they are running a special on the flushes which was a lie. I called the service department and spoke to another advisor and they confirmed there are NO SPECIALS on anything. I have been a service manager for a long time so I understan you have to make money but why pressure an older person who’s only income is social security???!!!. I never ever leave reviews but this deserves one. I wished I worked at Ford so I could have done the recall but I trusted sending my dad to a herb chambers dealership. BIG MISTAKE!. If you go see Adam, make sure you have enough money for the maintenance flushes you don’t need. What a joke!! First and last visit there for my 80 year old dad

I purchased a 2020 Jeep Compass from this dealership in March. Just after Christmas, the vehicle completely broke down. The day before it died, I could press the gas but the car would not go faster than 15 miles per hour. Because the vehicle was under warranty, I had it towed to the dealership. The day I dropped it off, no one even looked at the car. The following afternoon, I was told by an associate named Nicholas that it needed a new battery and that the sway bar might be covered under the warranty. Throughout every interaction—both on the phone and in person—Nicholas spoke down to me in a condescending manner. As a woman, I felt I was not taken seriously and was treated as if I didn’t understand basic information, even though the information he provided was incomplete and unclear. He repeatedly interrupted me, would not allow me to ask standard questions, and ultimately hung up on me. I was later contacted again and told that the sway bar would be covered, but with a $100 deductible. After that, I spoke with the manager, Dave, who did not apologize for the situation and simply answered questions about the parts, stating it would take another day to complete the repairs. Spending three days in the shop for a battery and sway bar is unreasonable for a dealership that claims to be professional. This is not a small, independent shop—it is a dealership. Overall, I would recommend going elsewhere to purchase a vehicle. It is ridiculous to have to pay for a battery on a car that was purchased less than a year ago, especially when the warranty turned out to be essentially useless.

I bought a used 2018 Ford F150. had engine trouble first weekend to owning it, which got fixed for free. Now the doors fly open at certain speeds in certain weather (below 30 degrees) recommend getting a second opinion on any used vehicle you look at.

I've now had 2 separate, negative experiences at Herb Chambers Ford of Braintree's service department. My F150 had a metallic grinding sound, which this dealership serviced and wasn't able to completely and effectively resolve the issue on two separate occasions. At first, I was charged $300+ for them to shave the torque converter bolts down, then I was charged $200+ for an incorrect diagnosis fee on a 2nd trip to this dealership for the same issue. After taking my F150 to a different local Ford dealership, they replaced the spacer plate, which was covered under powertrain warranty, and it completely resolved the issue (metallic grinding noise) that Herb Chambers Ford of Braintree wasn't able to fix. They also avoided any warranty work at all costs. I spent hundreds of dollars at this dealership on unnecessary repairs and misdiagnoses, just to have the correct repair and diagnosis done by another local Ford dealership under my powertrain warranty. I reached out to the GM, Scott Lewis, twice via email and once by phone and I never heard back from him, which is not surprising whatsoever. This was the worst car dealership experience I've had and I will certainly not go back or recommend this dealership to anyone. EDIT: Scott Lewis, you clearly don’t actually read the reviews, do you? If I already emailed you twice, why would you respond telling me to email you??

Mark D did an amazing job on my Escalade! Need bodywork? Ask for Mark. He’s communicative throughout the process and his work his top tier. This collision center made the process so easy especially with Enterprise working right there with them. I showed up, dropped my car off and jumped into the rental to head off to work. Same with picking up my car. In and out.

if ZERO STARS were available for pricing this dealership qualifies. Not only was the cost of an oil change mark up of $44; to charge 8.90 for a repair order when it was neither requested or done is inappropriate. It is certainly not ethical. When I called the service rep told me it's because they have to pick up a tool to do the oil change. If you have money to burn by all means go to Herb Chambers to service your car!!! In addition please not they are not Better Business Accredited. Can you imagine what would happen if you purchased a car from them & their was a problem. Good Luck with that!!

I recently purchased a used Volkswagen GTI from Herb Chambers Ford, and was happy with the experience. My salesman, Charlie, was great. He has a lot of VW specific knowledge and was super helpful. When there was some delay in getting the car ready, he took me to grab some lunch and we talked about cars until it was done. Would purchase another vehicle there in the future.

I told them that we were interested in the car on the website and they said the car was in stock and we could come and look at it. We drove for 1 hour and I am 8 and a half months pregnant. Even though we had an appointment, when we arrived we were told that the car was sold. It was a complete disappointment. I definitely do not recommend this place

My Sales Consultant Clyde Castro was most pleasant sales person I have ever met and wish more in his profession would be like him. He silenced to my request and showed me my options. The show room was clean and comfortable. I will make my next purchase from Herb Chambers and Clyde. The financing officer Lisa Chamberlin also worked with me on the options that I only wanted and did not try to upsell items I didn’t want.

The finance process was pretty seamless as well, no hard sells on the extras. Overall we highly recommend seeing Clyde!

I had a wonderful experience buying a Ford Mustang Mach-E from Herb Chambers of Braintree this month (November 2023). The communications, both in person and virtually were top notch. Setting up an appointment was easy, with text confirmations. During my first visit, Keith Jafri let me test drive the car (unsupervised) and, after a brief conversation, I walked out with no pressure applied. That meant a lot to me. After test driving a couple of Tesla's (Models 3 and Y), I couldn't get that Mach-E and the visit experience out of my head. I came back to Herb Chambers and Keith to begin the process of purchasing the car. It was seamless and easy. Though I would have liked to have gotten more for my trade (I didn't check the Kelly Blue Book values prior to negotiating), the car is phenomenal. A dream to drive! (And I'm a car guy). It was delivered much earlier than expected. The FordPass app is very impressive, Apple-ish in user experience. Overall, well done!

Bought my F350 here back in 2019. Derek in the truck service center is great. They have done all routine maintenance and any other items that have come up. Always fast, clean and I have never had to go back twice for the same problem. They take good care of my truck, they respond fast and with info you understand. I'm very fussy about my truck, Derek and his team are great and have always taken it.
