I would strongly caution anyone considering moving to this complex.
Approximately one week ago, my ceiling began leaking. The issue has progressively worsened. Most recently, I spent the entire night changing soaked towels on the floor while listening to continuous water dripping from the ceiling. This is not a minor inconvenience — it is a habitability issue.
I reported the problem to the leasing office. Maintenance was sent, but no actual repair was performed. I was informed that nothing could be done at this time and was offered a bucket to collect the water. That was the proposed “solution.”
I have since learned that multiple top-floor residents are experiencing similar roof leaks. If you are considering renting a top-floor unit, you should be aware of this ongoing issue.
I pay approximately $3,500 per month for a 2,5 bedroom . Due to the active leak, one of the rooms is currently unusable. When I asked about rent adjustment given that part of the unit cannot be used and no repair has been completed, I was told that the complex does not make concessions, that they have attorneys, and that pursuing the matter would not benefit me. The tone of this response was dismissive and unprofessional.
In addition to the unresolved maintenance issue, there is a persistent smell of marijuana throughout the property at various times of day. Parking enforcement also appears inconsistent, as vehicles are frequently parked improperly, including blocking lanes or occupying multiple spaces.
For the rent being charged, the condition of the property and the handling of serious maintenance concerns are unacceptable. I am looking forward to the end of my lease.
I have been living in The West Village for the past 2 years and It has been a great experience. This community is truly a gem in a city, offering a perfect blend of comfort convenience, and beauty. It is close to essential amenities such as grocery stores, restaurants, and public transportation.
The facilities here are top-notch. The community offers a range of amenities. The gym is well-equipped, and the swimming pool area is always clean and inviting.
The apartments are beautifully designed, with spacious living areas, large windows, and high ceilings that create a bright and airy atmosphere. The maintenance team is prompt and efficient, ensuring that any issues are resolved. The management team is exceptional, always responsive, and attentive to residents' needs. They organize regular community events, which are great opportunities to meet neighbors and build connections.
The landscaping throughout the community is beautifully maintained, with lush greenery and colorful flower beds.
They have enough parking spaces and they just had a seal coating all over the community which looks beautiful. Also, the way they managed the parking areas throughout the whole process was commendable.
Living at West Village has been a wonderful experience. The combination of excellent amenities, beautiful surroundings, and a strong sense of community makes it a place I am proud to call home. I highly recommend this apartment community to anyone looking for a high-quality living experience.
Bella enjoys her walks on the premises and the other fur babies and owners. We both enjoy our apartment especially the outdoor spaces. The grounds are well kept and a pleasure to the eyes and nose. We both enjoy this beautiful place and all the friendly people that we have met. This is a community that has it all. The maintenance team is exceptional and the staff is fantastic as well. Matthew and Russell you make this an exceptional experience.

Living at West Village is great, from the friendly staff to the well-maintained amenities, every aspect enhances the living experience. The sense of community here is unparalleled, making it truly feel like home. The staff and maintenance team is always prompt, courteous, and go above and beyond to ensure residents are happy and comfortable. Their dedication truly makes this place feel like a caring community rather than just an apartment complex.
Beautiful apartments. Attention to detail throughout. Well kept grounds with nice views. Office staff and maintenance guys are top notch. Expensive rents are the only down side.
West Village Mansfield is a nice, quiet, and peaceful community. The property is well-maintained and well-kept to the eye. The residents in the community are friendly and nice as well. The property management makes an effort to make living in the community enjoyable with options for resident inclusive ideas for events and activities. The management also provides interesting activities for us to participate in. I’m happy living here.
They won't tell you that your neighbors are so noisy people have moved to different apartments because of it. We specifically asked about kids upstairs as we have newborns and don't sleep at night. We were told they couldn't divulge that because of fair housing which doesn't apply to us and also was a super racist thing to say.
The option is to again pay movers to move us to a different apartment when there was another apartment open that we could have originally taken to avoid this.
Be wary.
I have lived here for about 4months.the management team keeps on top of things but it's a shame when the residents cannot put their trash in the dumpster and continue to add boxes to recycle not broken down. today was the icing on the cake as I was cleaning up the recycle area and someone through dirty diapers into it.
Moved in about a month ago. Love my little apartment, very quiet ,the patio is perfect for enjoying the birds and crickets. Very friendly neighbors and the leasing office has been excellent. Jes loves the doggie treats there.
Would advise you to look elsewhere if you want to enjoy coming home everyday. They claim it a "smoke free" environment in the apartments, yet every time we arrived home, the hallways smelled ungodly of cigarettes and weed, continuously made the office staff aware of this and were utterly ignored, they were rude and it became unbearable to live there. With their prices, you'd think they would be better managed...unfortunate.
EDIT: Yes I am sure that this review is for West Village Apartments in Mansfield Massachusetts. I have also recieved messages on Facebook with people that have the same issue and that management is no help what so ever. It's crazy that people who live there are having such an issue that they seek out help from a stranger on the internet as to what they should do because the living conditions are that unbearable.
Terrible place to live, office does not respond to complaints, quality is far below expectations and price, hallways smelt like smoke, amenities were useless and never open when you want them too. All around a very dissapointing place to live, please look elsewhere.
EDIT: Yes I did live here with my girlfriend and we were both on the lease. Mansfield, Massachusetts, right down the street from the Home Depot.
I can’t say enough good things about living here. I have lived here for almost 12 years and don’t intend to move. The apartments are great - all different sizes to choose from etc but what makes WV stand out is the staff. The office staff (Russell, Raychel and Matt) are simply outstanding going above and beyond wherever they can. Maintenance staff is also excellent, prompt and friendly. Couldn’t ask for a better place to live. .
I have been here since 2009 when they first opened. I have been extremely pleased and do not intend of moving at any time. The administrative staff, Russell, Racel and Matt are extremely professional and knowledgeable. Our maintenance staff, Manny and Bobby are great and always very timely on fixing any problem (although there have been very few in 12 years!!). If you are looking for a great place to live either long or short time, you need to visit West Village.
We chose West Village because we love the style, location, and amenities. As well as being conveniently located within walking distance of restaurants, parks, entertainment, hospitals, etc.
So far since we have moved in we have enjoyed living here.
There were a couple of bumps in the road but the issues were addressed and taken care of. Although I was a little upset with the fact that one of the major reasons we chose WV was that we were told the floors above us were all concrete so we would not hear the neighbors. And this is not the case. You can hear neighbors above but they are actually pretty respectful and not loud like others here complain about their upstairs neighbors. I guess we got lucky on that for now.
Drawbacks:
-My number one complaint is the doggie area in Bldg A. As we do love having access to it, however, residents were not having respect and not cleaning up after their dog. Also the other doggie park area at Bldg C, residents don't pick up after their dogs and it's always dirty with dog waste.
We love the staff here. They are doing the best they can to accommodate everyone here. They are professional and super nice.
Feeling safe here at West Village - Definitely feel safe.
Amenities - Pools, BBQ, doggies areas with waste boxes, entertainment, conveniently located by parks, stores, entertainment, restaurants.
Not every place will be perfect, just need to talk to management to figure out what to do and they quickly address any issues.
We hope to continue to reside here at West Village for a few years.
We just moved in and Kayla & Russell were so helpful! We were in a rush and they helped get us all situated within a weeks notice. The grounds are beautiful and perfectly kept. The rent is on par for luxury apartments especially in this area! Plus the amenities are much nicer than other places. We absolutely love it here so far!
Lived here for two years in my early twenties. The people here were nice and the staff was great. Every problem we had was always fixed. Russell is a good guy who does a great job running this place. Thumbs up.
The ambience of the apartment complex is peaceful and very secure. Russell Smith at the office is extremely wonderful and helpful with all the procedures. The facilities are good. A few inconveniences during the move in but otherwise everything seems to be absolutely fine.
I'll start off by saying West Village should be anyone's top choice for an apartment for so many reasons.
The community is super friendly and welcoming especially at fun events that management hosts such as paint night with snacks and wine or fun for the whole family at the pool, barbecues, and movie nights!
The property is always maintained and in perfect shape – Whenever I have company over they always mention how beautiful the apartments are and how serene the landscaping is.
While both of these reasons are why I love West Village, my favorite thing about living here is the super energetic and friendly staff! The management team at West Village truly will go above and beyond to exceed expectations and make sure that everyone here has an amazing experience. You will definitely feel a sense of community living here.

West Village is great! I lived here for a couple months while doing an internship about 25 minutes away and could not have made a better choice. The clubhouse has a gym, pool, and most importantly many friendly workers! There is plenty of parking for both regular cars and EVs. The community at West Village is so welcoming, and the surrounding areas outside the complex are very safe. I highly recommend this location to anyone, especially with its easy access to nearby highways like I-495 and I-95. You also have many stores and an outlet within 20 minutes of you.
I am so relieved we chose West Village for our family. The apartment itself is beautiful with so much character and amenities at a reasonable rate! All residential communities have their maintenance issues. Within the first few days we did encountered some issues within the apartment. Once I contacted West Village staff (on the weekend too!), I had someone right at my door to take care of the issue at hand. Even the little concerns (I report those through the awesome residential portal) get addressed within 24 hours. If staff cannot get there right away, they always contact me to schedule a time. Since we moved in two months ago, the West Village staff has addressed every issue and answered every question thoroughly and professionally. From the maintenance team to the manager's office and staff, I am very pleased with our decision to move into the West Village neighborhood! I definitely recommend to anyone, especially with kids and/or pets! They accommodate all!

a team are incredible. They are very professional, knowledgable,
and dedicated individuals. Along with that they are friendly, down
to earth people who genuinely care about their residents. This is
what made the decision to renew my lease an easy one. Also, the
apartments are beautiful, very comfortable, and well maintained.
I feel like I'm living in a 5 star hotel yet it feels like home. To sum up
West Village in one word, "impressive".

Very helpful when I walked in for a tour. I felt bad because I didn't have an appointment. I met with the manager and although she looked very busy, she was very friendly and upbeat, and more than happy to show us around. I'm waiting for our home to sell but I will definitely return.
Friendly staff. Apartments are very, very new and clean. Maintenance crew was very quick to fix things, always same-day. Lots of parking. Awesome pool. Very quiet area. Make sure to get a spot facing the woods!
