This places doesn’t deserve any stars in my option but it made me pick one to leave the review first off I wanna say the owner is a joke he’s rude to woman and is consistent DRUNK on the job , I brought my car in for an exhaust repair , 1.3 months went by and my exhaust is hanging and super loud! 2 things I have a receipt from them costing 500$ claiming they fixed! I went and to another car place and they looked it over and now wanna charge me the same but more but of other issues but the main thing is they never even fixed what they claimed and charged me 500$ for !!! DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR THERE ITS ALL A SCAM when I confronted the “owner “ of the place he refused to hardly even listen to me and WOULDNT EVEN WALK OUT FOR ME TO SHOW HIM MY EXHUST

Most reliable thing they offer are the pens. They are nice pens. Cars from there, I wouldn't trust. Don't "join the party!" when you're left with a white elephant gift of a lemon. Last year, less than 2 months after I bought a car from this guy, we had to rent a car in order to make do. His response was to suggest selling it on Marketplace, so someone else (read: sucker) might give me back some of what we lost.

SCAM! DON'T BUY! I tested 3 cars and asked a mechanic to check them. All completelly rusted underneath and some showed even electric problems. It would not last more than six months. Those stickers they put on their cars are worthless.

*NOT TRUSTWORTHY* *DO NOT BUY HERE* Paid $5,000 for a Subaru Forester on March 16, 2024. Not only was the inspection sticker invalid (this car should NOT have had an inspection sticker in the condition it was in), the sticker was marked a week after the sale date. Key points of inspection include the exaust/mufflers, seatbelts, and more. The passenger seatbelt had inch wide cuts in it, as though someone took a knife to it. The exaust had to be fixed and completely replaced, due to exaust leaking into the vehicle. The owner claimed the brakes had "just been done", yet one of my calipers was completely loose, and dangling. The wipers on the front windshield and rear cannot be operated according to the switch indications, so I cannot use ANY wipers without them being damaged from the errors. The cost of continuously repairing this vehicle have amounted to just about what the vehicle cost. When I called to speak with the owner (Patrick), he was dismissive of the issues he sold the car with. I have not even owned this car a year, and have about DOUBLED the price he sold it at. DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE HERE! The car he sold me should not have even been on the lot to test drive. I was tricked into believing this was a reliable vehicle, and that was WRONG.

REVISED REVIEW Since we’ve had the car passed its 1 month or 1000 mile warranty. I want to start this review by saying I believe in honesty and integrity especially when it comes to reviews. My wife purchased a 2014 Jeep Compass from Rivertown Auto and Pat was a super nice guy no issues there. We took the car for a test drive and everything was fine. There was no check engine lights, no overheating no nothing so my wife bought the car and drove it from the dealership to the tanning salon in Bangor and the car overheated so bad that she barely made it but we didn’t freak out, I called Pat the following morning and informed him of the issue and without hesitation he said he would come get it and I said no need I can drive it there and drop it off. The following day after WE had to call and ask if they figured it out yet. He said it was fixed and it was a temperature control sensor that they had to replace and he said they also had to replace the oil pan because it was rusted. Now I just wanna be clear. This is the part where we stopped taking the vehicle to them because it was clear that we weren’t going to get what we needed fixed from them. So that temperature control sensor they replaced never really fixed anything my wife car was still overheating and after I did some further investigating Because I’m very mechanically inclined, and we also got a legitimate diagnosis from a certified mechanic I found out that the reason the car is overheating is because one of the cooling fans is not activating so I had to remove the bumper and the side plastic and trace power from the fan because the fan was still working it just wasn’t getting power. I eventually got to a relay box that is mounted at the front of the Driver side tire behind the bumper plastic. Now I can’t say it was Riverside dealership who did what I’m about to explain but not a lot of people know how to cut and re wire in a regular relay when it was an automotive relay before hand and that’s exactly what I found. Somebody didn’t want to take the time to order OEM relay or didn’t have an OEM relay on hand so they cut the original wiring to the OEM relay that supply’s power to that fan and wired in a regular standard relay and that standard relay had gone bad. So I replaced that relay and the fan came and the car no longer overheats. Now let’s go over the new oil pan that Riverside put on. They put it on with NO oil pan gasket and ONLY used gasket maker so my wife’s jeep was leaking oil bad. So I had to remove the oil pan and that was no easy task because that stuff is like automotive superglue. Then I cleaned off the bottom side of the motor and the oil pan and put it back on with a OEM (which stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer) oil pan gasket. This is crazy for a dealership to be sending out a vehicle in this shape. These are not minor issues or cosmetic issues these are serious issues that could potentially ruin a vehicle that my wife just bought and spent $7,000 on and I shouldn’t have had to take 2 days of my time diagnosing the actual problems then another day ordering parts and then another 2 days replacing those parts when this jeep was just purchased from this dealership. So all I’m going to say is you better prepare yourself to have this scenario or something like it happen when you purchase a vehicle from this place. I have all receipts and video proof that everything I stated in this review is absolutely true and I have no problem proving it. I just want to save someone else the headache.

Scam artists. Bought a car they said was fully serviced and inspected. Prompto said the oil was nasty and hasn't been changed in probably a year. Then the car stalled- had rivertown fix it under warranty. Turns out they did not have it fixed and also was not able to show receipts or proof it was fixed. Car has all kinds of expensive problems. Do not buy from them.

This dealership told me they would hold a car for me so I could come buy it. I went to get a bank check and called them back to make sure and they told me they sold the car 20 minutes ago. I wasted an entire day for this. Don’t trust pat he lies about stuff stay away from this place.

I bought my car from Pat in April 2022. Had a lot of problems some he fixed others his mechanic kept ignoring. In October I sent my car in to be repaired, just had it towed off today still not fixed, but missing parts that were in it 2 and a half months ago when they got my car. Never sending my car back to this scam artist again.
