They are really nice friendly and knowledgeable here however I had a car that I recently bid on I won the bid and then after negotiating with the insurance company that listed the car they accepted my counter offer.
So I took off from work which I’m a truck driver so I missed out on some good money I booked a flight considering that I live in Charlotte nc to be able to go and get the car to drive back and then about 2 hours after I had made flight reservation and even got a cashiers check to pay on the car I had got a call from a guy there in the branch to inform me that the car was stolen by some teenagers in the area and joy ridden and those same teens got caught by the cops driving it a chase ensued and they flipped the car so the listing was correct but the pictures weren’t.
So he canceled the sale after I said I wouldn’t want the car I had to return that money back to my account and even cancel my flight that by the grace of god I was able to get a refund. this is my first and last time trying to buy out of state I don’t want to even encounter this issue again
If there was better security measures this could have been avoided but I understand that things happen sucks that some low lives caused this issue going forward this is something that I will be checking for.
Customer service is not the priority; cars are sold without the titles being readily available; Buyer Services is a joke! Unless you want to spend four hours on hold just to be told, “Not our problem” or conveniently disconnected after that long wait.
Operator Amy is all smiles and great conversation. She took the time to move my car with extra care. Much appreciated for all her and the other ladies in the office for my car services.
Dealing with Amy at IAA Davenport is like a breath of fresh air. My husband buys a lot and every time we buy from another locations we always have title troubles. Amy gets it all straightened out for us, especially when the people at the other locations blow us off I worked at for six months last time and then after speaking with Amy, she was able to take over and got the issues resolved!). Scott County Iowa has some pretty stringent laws on how titles from other states come over and Amy makes it happen correctly. I don't think I've ever seen her standing still, if she's not loading she's taking care of business.
Amy has always done her best to go above and beyond to help me not only with my purchases from her Branch in Davenport. But after the 6 months of chaos that happened with Tucson IAA Branch because Arizona Title was signed incorrectly by their staff. My wife and I didn't know what to do but to go to Amy who loads out better than anyone I've ever met. She was able to correct IAA error, out of customer service she was then able to have it properly title on my behalf because she always let's me know that I Matter!
Amy is the Rock star of the Davenport IAA, she has the most personable personality of anyone I have ever meet and definitely the go to person when there are any issues, she always goes way above and beyond to take of you and to get the issues resolved.
The Davenport IAAI location just wouldn't be the same without seeing Asian Amy's face when picking up a vehicle. She goes out of her way to help you any way she can to make the buying process easy and enjoyable. Don't let her small size and bubbley personality fool you, when she's not working in the office this chick can run a fork lift loading cars better than any of the guys.
We have purchased many vehicles from this IAA in Davenport IA. Always hoping we get a the lady named Amy to load our vehicles. She is very polite and knowledgeable. Never once have we had a problem with more damage! This lady can load better than can be expected.
First time buyer and everyone was very helpful at assisting me.
The young lady Amy driving the loader took time to air up tires for me & answered all questions I had.

I give this location a 5 star ever since I met Amy but before I would have given it one ⭐ . She always makes you feel welcome and is patient with the loading process. I’ve been helped by her in the office and she has loaded my truck before. She is a wonderful person to speak to and is always smiling. Very helpful.
Second time buying at this location in a 2 week period , I thought maybe i was just having a bad day the first time i came to pick up but here i am second time & same horrible service! 1 Loader for two yards is a clear statement that they can care less about our time. We have other pick ups ,& Deliveries to make . Who in the right mind wants to wait for over an hr to get a vehicle loaded, Potentially loosing another load. Not to mention there is fee that is charged to buyer for loading?? No consideration for the drivers nor their customers! Poorly managed and unacceptable customer service! Stop being Cheap and hire more help & Get the drivers in and out! IAA makes on an average $500 per vehicle why are you being cheap!
IAA is a joke!!! BEWARE of the lies they tell buyers & sellers! They pay insurance companies when they sell a vehicle but wait until buyer pays to pay a DEALER if they sell a vehicle! No other auction does this!!! Oh if buyer doesn't pay , YOU HAVE TO PICK UP OR RE-RUN 3-4 WEEKS LATER!
Grossly mismanaged place. One loader for two lots. Virtually a ghost place. But prepare to wait for the loader. And their excuse for making you wait is: "Do you know that Houston has 3 hours wait?".
Followed by explanation how they have the upper hand ("they have done all that they can" but you are very "demanding ") and leave the choice to you - take it or leave it.
And with their fees ( IAA and Copart are subsidiaries of THERE IS A FEE FOR EVERYTHING HOLDING - min 15% of the sale price + "internet" fee, storage fee, mailing the title fee, disposing of loose parts on parking fee (there is no dumpster)) buying crashed car on Manheim Auction is pretty much a bargain all the time

waste of time and money.let me explain how it works: the car you're bidding has a reserve price (you'll never know it). The bid will be canceled if it doesn't meet the price they want. If you win, the inflated price will be further inflated by auction fee ($300-700), internet bidding ($50), pull out of the car ($50). plus you need a yearly membership ($200) to even bid. So the already secretly high price will be super high by the time you take possession. You can never start/ drive or otherwise mechanically inspect the car. Save your cash. Buy private
My experience is with the head management at IAAI. I believe the "business plan" they operate on is to have any complaints or issues directed to the home office where your letter or e-mail goes to a dead file. Don't waste your time trying to get a resolution to any problems or issues that you may have with IAAI...you'll never hear from them.
