This place was a life saver for me. The people are great humans to work with and do a wonderful job. The price was better than just reasonable as well. I highly recommend this awesome place.

I'd give more stars if I could. They checked out 2 vehicles I was thinking of buying. (1 was a lemon. 1 was good.) Spent time on the phone, explaining their findings and did all this free of charge. Great mechanics who care about people!
Great people, excellent customer service, reasonable prices and quality work. When I had to replace my battery, I swapped it out myself but I needed the computer reset and they did it as a courtesy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

They do quality work, explain what’s actually needed, and stand behind what they do. On the rare occasion something needed attention afterward, they took care of it — and then some — without hesitation. That’s what separates a good shop from a great one.
Finding a mechanic you can trust is hard. Once you find one like this, you stop shopping around. I wouldn’t take my vehicles anywhere else and recommend them without hesitation.
I had a clutch job done and chopped 10 different mechanic shops. Some of them wanted 150 $140 an hour, but Russ was such a professional Russell the muscle Owner was so kind Professional down to earth and worked with me and out of all of the shopping around going to two mechanic shops I came to the conclusion that he not only knew more. He knew how to make it an affordable price and then at the end through in a complementary roadside assistance for two years and a warranty of two years on parts and labor. What an outstanding man. It was a pleasure to find mechanics who still operate under the old. It ain’t about the money it’s about customer service professionalism, and his 30+ years of experience have turned him into one outstanding business man in town. I highly recommend his shop. I can’t say enough words about how impressed I was and he is now my mechanic on all matters from here on out he’s got a large team working for him all respectful Mario did the work was helpful enough to help put on her because I’m so exhausted you helped me put on a windshield wiper blade.
Before I drive back to Florida to a small apartment to keep my health I have stage four cancer. Russ said swing back by before you leave. It will take a last minute look over. Make sure that you’re safe on the road brother. What kind old-fashioned service rest my Hat is off to you.
Would I choose these people again? I’ve already chosen for every job in the future so long as I live between Fort Wayne and Florida and I’ll even save repairs from Florida. They can wait and have Russ do them when I return. Someone preferred me to R&l automotive to what I needed taken care of with my automobile I went there and from the time I walked in the front door. I was welcome with smile and a handshake I describe what was going on with my car right away. They knew exactly what was wrong. The cost was very reasonable. I was very happy after a couple of days I received a text from them wanting to know how my automobile was running. That is really outstanding for some company to give you a follow up I highly recommend RNL automotive I will definitely be back with my automobile needs

I moved to this area and needed to have my passenger side light and high beam replaced. I did a Google search and this place came up with a rating of 4.9!!! I called and since they wouldn't need to remove my bumper to replace the bulbs I was told it wouldn't be expensive. Boy did I feel stupid, when I told my brother that I paid $141.00 for 15 minutes of work to change 2 light bulbs. He said baby sis stick to books and computers. Next time call me or Any Other man in the family! Do Not use this auto repair shop unless you have knowledge of cars and the cost of repairs! THIS is the type of auto shop that gives the industry a bad name! Their phone skills are Awesome but once you come in...seriously rude/mean demeanor. The BEST PART...I mentioned that I was having a little problem with the driver side door. Get home and Now the door doesn't open. WOW what coincidence lol. Very expensive life lesson learned. But if one person learns from my mistake, it's all good. Clearly the owner needs money for Christmas. So, enjoy that $141.00 fleeced from me to replace ONLY 2 bulbs (15 minutes of labor) and have a BLESSED holiday. Because the God I serve Will help me to replace this money so my kids can have the Christmas they deserve.
Went to R&L (due to the stunning reviews) for a second opinion on another quote we got and everyone is correct! Service was quick, honest, and reasonable pricing. Shopping around for mechanics can be difficult but we've definitely found our go to spot! Thanks again to the team
Easy to make an appointment and services completed promptly. Oil change and tire rotation completed within 40 minutes. Excellent service as always. So happy to have found R&L automotive two years ago.
My dad is a mechanic and took care of my vehicle(s) when I lived back in Kansas. Unfortunately, I do not have that luxury any more. So, after I experienced my 2016 Jeep Renegade having some problems and having it diagnosed as spark plug issues. I brought my vehicle to R&L Automotive who took care of it swiftly and also diagnosed that my car had a leaking valve cover gasket which took them less time than they estimated and I can't help but appreciate all the hard work, great shop personalities, and incredibly transparent but fair pricing with their establishment!
The entire ride home was the smoothest ride I have had all week and it's all thanks to them! If I have any other issues, I know to call Rick (accompanied by a very snazzy, well-paid swear jar) and the team at R&L for all my automotive needs!
I would never take my car back here again. I paid $56 just to get my car back even though they didn’t fix or properly diagnose anything. I clearly explained that my 2015 Nissan Altima only overheats after driving for a while and that they’d need to drive it longer to see the issue. They said they’d “squeeze me in,” and I understood that, but if you didn’t find anything right away, why not just hold the car until you had time to actually test it properly? Instead, the guy started yelling and arguing with me on the phone, acting like I was the problem. I would’ve gladly let them keep the car until they could really check it, but they rushed me to pick it up for no reason.
On top of that, he randomly told me I had “a bunch of oil leaks” but couldn’t tell me where they were or what kind. He said they’d have to run more tests to find out — so why even bring it up? The shop smelled horrible when I walked in, the environment was gross, and the staff was rude and dismissive. I felt completely disrespected and taken advantage of. Total waste of time and money.
They can definitely work miracles. Did an excellent job in a pinch. Went above and beyond to make sure my truck was sound and safe. Prices are extremely reasonable! Thanks guys!!! Excellent job. They solved a problem i had long labored to fix on my own. Had some bad headlight wiring on a PT Cruiser which complicates things a lot but they got it done. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that they broke 2 of the lugs on my RF wheel and charged me to replace them. Other than that the service was exactly what I was looking for.
Had clutch and flywheel replaced on a 2015 Dart that no one else wasted to touch. I guess they were scared. I dropped it off over the weekend and they had it finished by the end of the day on Monday. These guys are amazing. No fuss at all. No extra BS either.
I’ve always had my dad work on my cars so since my dad passed I was so nervous about finding a trustworthy place to take my car. Someone on FB told me R&L Automotive was the only place they take their cars and said they not only were trustworthy but fair in prices as well. I picked up my car after my car started to leak oil and not only did they do a great job and at a fair and reasonable price but they communicate so well the entire time they have your car. Which they got me in on short notice and got right to work on it! I appreciate Russ, Greg and Dick as they kept me informed with what was going on and even before I could get my car there, Russ made sure I knew to check my oil and add some if needed so I didn’t ruin the engine. I hadn’t even taken my car in yet and they cared enough to make sure I knew what to do before I could get it to them. I am truly grateful to the person who recommended I go to R&L Automotive, as the guys there genuinely care about their customers and the quality of work they do. A place that cares about doing the job right and at a fair price, with excellent communication definitely gets my trust and repeat business! Our first visit to R&L Automotive was exceptional. After several negative experiences with a couple other local shops over the last few years, this was a positive and refreshing experience! My initial phone inquiry was answered immediately, their quote was accurate to the PENNY and the work was completed very quickly! All my questions were answered with courtesy and respect. No one wants to have to car troubles but, we will absolutely return to this shop for all future needs!
Edited to add: we've now visited this shop a couple more times for various issues that pop up and as was our prior experience, each visit is handled with prompt and honest professionalism.....this shop really is a standout in this city!!! Really exceptional service, you just cannot go wrong by using their services!!!
Pretty impressed, all things considered. Had electrical issues non-starting, called for an appointment and was able to get in faster than any other shop I’d called. Fast turnaround time, only took a few days, made sure to let me know what was happening, excellent communication, the price wasn’t a huge sticker shock to me, I’m definitely coming back the next time my car has issues. Only issue is I still have my rental car for a few more days because they got my car back to me in less than a week, the best problem to have.
I recently had a catalytic converter done on my Acura TL and I brought in the part myself (which I thought to be very cool since some places I called din’t do take-in parts). The check engine light was on and now is still off since my visit at R&L. The price was very affordable even for this college student. I was very happy with the service done and the team’s environment. They were able to show me the process and didn’t get impatient when I went back to check on my vehicle. They even showed me the old converter they had taken out. They were honest and that is hard to come by for vehicle shops nowadays. I’m satisfied because I do not have to come back for future things and my car drives like new again. I will be going back for upgrades to the engine in due time. Great shop I was thanking God for sending me to these folks. Honest, nice, hard-working men.
My fiancé and I got our brakes replaced here last month, and there were a bunch of issues with our insurance, and everyone at R&L was nice, and they were able to help us out. However, today our brakes completely failed while we were on the road. Luckily, we were not on the highway or anything. We were extremely lucky that we were right next to a shop, and were able to have someone look at it right away. The mechanics who fixed our brakes never tightened the hardware after replacing the brake line. Don’t want to bash the company, but this could have gone very differently. Just want to make people aware, and warn others to always check to make sure everything is in order!
Very good shop very honest and forthcoming with the work and actually recommended that a go to a actual chrysler dealer. The dealership however was 3 months out on their work and I had school and a new job starting in 3 weeks, so I told them give it your best shot. And boy was a best shot what I got. They fixed my engine problem and could of really took me for a ride but even in that they were good people and kept the bill in mind for me.(2500 was what I paid had they kept going it would of been upwards of 5k).
It's been over 3 years sense the repair and no engine codes other than a thermostat issue. All in all great people my only wish is they had a bigger shop so they could take care of more people so that way the dealerships aren't taking advantage of so many. hats and hair off to the owners.
