They solved a problem i had long labored to fix on my own. Had some bad headlight wiring on a PT Cruiser which complicates things a lot but they got it done. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that they broke 2 of the lugs on my RF wheel and charged me to replace them. Other than that the service was exactly what I was looking for.
Had clutch and flywheel replaced on a 2015 Dart that no one else wasted to touch. I guess they were scared. I dropped it off over the weekend and they had it finished by the end of the day on Monday. These guys are amazing. No fuss at all. No extra BS either.
I’ve always had my dad work on my cars so since my dad passed I was so nervous about finding a trustworthy place to take my car. Someone on FB told me R&L Automotive was the only place they take their cars and said they not only were trustworthy but fair in prices as well. I picked up my car after my car started to leak oil and not only did they do a great job and at a fair and reasonable price but they communicate so well the entire time they have your car. Which they got me in on short notice and got right to work on it! I appreciate Russ, Greg and Dick as they kept me informed with what was going on and even before I could get my car there, Russ made sure I knew to check my oil and add some if needed so I didn’t ruin the engine. I hadn’t even taken my car in yet and they cared enough to make sure I knew what to do before I could get it to them. I am truly grateful to the person who recommended I go to R&L Automotive, as the guys there genuinely care about their customers and the quality of work they do. A place that cares about doing the job right and at a fair price, with excellent communication definitely gets my trust and repeat business! They aren’t my dad, but my dad was definitely looking out for me when I was pointed to R&L Automotive!!

Our first visit to R&L Automotive was exceptional. After several negative experiences with a couple other local shops over the last few years, this was a positive and refreshing experience! My initial phone inquiry was answered immediately, their quote was accurate to the PENNY and the work was completed very quickly! All my questions were answered with courtesy and respect. No one wants to have to car troubles but, we will absolutely return to this shop for all future needs!

Pretty impressed, all things considered. Had electrical issues non-starting, called for an appointment and was able to get in faster than any other shop I’d called. Fast turnaround time, only took a few days, made sure to let me know what was happening, excellent communication, the price wasn’t a huge sticker shock to me, I’m definitely coming back the next time my car has issues. Only issue is I still have my rental car for a few more days because they got my car back to me in less than a week, the best problem to have.
R&L provided me with exceptional customer service as well repair service. My vehicle has never run smoother after a scary transmission issue came up. And I can’t thank R&L enough!
My son is trying to keep his 14 years old Ford running with the help of the awesome guys at R & L. The mechanic I went to for many years retired, then someone told me about R & L and I’ve been very happy with them the two times our car has been in their shop. They figure out the problem and get it fixed quickly and without breaking the bank!
I recently had a catalytic converter done on my Acura TL and I brought in the part myself (which I thought to be very cool since some places I called din’t do take-in parts). The check engine light was on and now is still off since my visit at R&L. The price was very affordable even for this college student. I was very happy with the service done and the team’s environment. They were able to show me the process and didn’t get impatient when I went back to check on my vehicle. They even showed me the old converter they had taken out. They were honest and that is hard to come by for vehicle shops nowadays.
I’m satisfied because I do not have to come back for future things and my car drives like new again. I will be going back for upgrades to the engine in due time. Great shop I was thanking God for sending me to these folks. Honest, nice, hard-working men.

I don't trust just anybody to work on my vehicle. I usually do the work myself. But getting a little older and finding time makes it harder to do. A friend recommended R&L and I couldn't be happier with the work they did for me. I now recommend them to all my friends and I won't take my vehicle anywhere else. If you're looking for a honest and fair repair shop,you can't go wrong with R&L.
My fiancé and I got our brakes replaced here last month, and there were a bunch of issues with our insurance, and everyone at R&L was nice, and they were able to help us out. However, today our brakes completely failed while we were on the road. Luckily, we were not on the highway or anything. We were extremely lucky that we were right next to a shop, and were able to have someone look at it right away. The mechanics who fixed our brakes never tightened the hardware after replacing the brake line. Don’t want to bash the company, but this could have gone very differently. Just want to make people aware, and warn others to always check to make sure everything is in order!
I am from Kokomo. I was in Fort Wayne for classes at my union hall. My car broke down on the way home and was stuck on the side of I 69. I called R&L based on their reviews online and It turns out their reviews are well deserved. Rich got my car in there very quickly figured out what was wrong and was fair and honest. Very quick turnaround time and a very fair price no BS. If I was local, I would only take my car to R&L to be repaired
The guys at R&L are awesome! They worked with me to get my truck back on the road safely after I broke a bolt off in my caliber. Got me in fast to Replace all my rotors and pads and then quickly had me back on the road. These guys are top notch!
Best service & pricing in Fort Wayne! My car was in & out and they even asked me to come back in a few weeks to make sure everything is still running properly. Hard to find such a great auto repair shop these days but R&L is the place!! I won’t be going anywhere else as long as I live here

They confirmed diagnoses, stuck to their original price quote and when they discovered another problem not previously known they were honest about its severity and didn’t try to talk me into adding it on.

Was so so so so Pleased with this mechanic..I called he got me in that morning and by noon I was ready to pick up my car. He fixed what I asked nothing more nothing less and was very reasonable..I promise this will be our home mechanic from here on out. ( The job we had done was a power steering pump hose replacement and diagnostic all for $104) And dropped it off at 10 am and was done by noon. Amazing work and prices highly recommend..
What an awesome experience. I always dread that my truck might break down. Yesterday I got in the truck and it wouldn't start. After reading some reviews we decided to call R&L. They were able to get us in and serviced today. There were efficient and didn't try to run up our bill. I even called back and asked them to do an oil change before we picked it up. They were happy to do it and even called an hour and a half earlier than they quoted. We were so happy, we dropped off our other vehicle for an oil change and service check. Thrilled that we found this place and will definitely return for all our future repair needs.
Very good shop very honest and forthcoming with the work and actually recommended that a go to a actual chrysler dealer. The dealership however was 3 months out on their work and I had school and a new job starting in 3 weeks, so I told them give it your best shot. And boy was a best shot what I got. They fixed my engine problem and could of really took me for a ride but even in that they were good people and kept the bill in mind for me.(2500 was what I paid had they kept going it would of been upwards of 5k).
It's been over 3 years sense the repair and no engine codes other than a thermostat issue. All in all great people my only wish is they had a bigger shop so they could take care of more people so that way the dealerships aren't taking advantage of so many. hats and hair off to the owners.
