Purchased a $30,000 but the title did match vehicle description. Title was a 2001 , although I purchased a 1934 . If that wasn’t disturbing enough, I get to the DMV only for them to tell me the title wasn’t for the 34 ford! Shocked to say the least, he would think when they take cars in on consignment, they will at least take time to make sure the title is correct. Thought I was going to be stuck with a car with the wrong title now it’s a car with no title, wouldn’t recommend to anyone, stay away, be wise and buy your classic car somewhere else, I still have no title to this day
If you are a fan of beautiful classic cars or if you are looking to buy or even sell a classic car these are the folks to see. They have 12 different locations all of the Country. The one in Fairview Heights is their corporate headquarters. The cars in their showroom are beautiful. It is like a trip down memory lane to walk through and see all of the wonderful cars. Some are from the early 1900's and some are from the 2000's so there is lots to look at. They even have car shows in their parking lot where you can bring your own car and show it off. If you love cars it is worth the trip to go and visit these folks and you might even want to add their other locations to your travel itinerary.
Extremely unprofessional! We rented a space to celebrate our daughter’s Sweet 16, paid in full, and we’re in and out over a course of three weeks measuring and ordering things to make the space beautiful. One day, my mom randomly went to the website and saw a banner that said “we are no longer doing events”. Surely they weren’t talking about our event that we already paid for and ordered table cloths/decor for! Yup!!! They were. Not a call to tell us anything. My dad had to go check it out and to ultimately get his money back. “oh we emailed you” No, you should’ve called.
They threw a huge monkey wrench in our event planning. If this is how they move then please be wary when purchasing a classic car from them. Double check EVERY detail as they CLEARLY can not be trusted.

However, despite what they tell you on the phone, they will not take a credit card for total purchase. And you better buy a warranty on the car BEFORE it leaves the showroom. They disconnect the batteries and it (in my opinion) causes other problems with the car.
Make sure to check over anything you buy with fine tooth comb bought car from here and didn't notice substantial frame damage due the how low car sits . I made it known to staff and sales rep that I was driving car 12 plus hours away. Upon getting to my destination and getting on a lift several large rusted holes were discovered in the frame of this car and wiring done that could have resulted in a fire. This car shouldn’t have even been on the road let alone driving 12 hours. Recent repairs/ patch jobs done on the car shows signs that these safety issues were known but ignored. I understand buying an old car has its risk but if I was aware of these problem I could have trailered it to my destination or passed on the whole purchase and not have put myself in extreme risk
awesome place to walk around if you're a gearhead. giant consignment used car lot that functions as an indoor museum with all vehicles kept in showroom condition.

The help was very accommodating, very nice people to work with. The venue is beautiful and your guest will have something to do while you are having some photos taken or just need a few minutes for setup of your next event. We loved having our daughter’s wedding there! Jennifer is such a sweet lady, she was at your service for every need!! Thank you again for making our daughter’s day her dream come true!!
Such a cool place for people that love cars! I found something I was interested in online last year. Went to check it out a couple times and ended up bidding on it online. The whole buying process was super easy and simple. The staff is all extremely friendly and welcoming. I’ve been back a couple times since then just to walk around for fun. Nice little gift shop too. Definitely a must stop if you’re in the area.

Was looking for a custom metal bumper C3 for a while. Was working with another shop when I came across the 71 on the Interwebs. I Phoned up Jason Powers and we talked through the car and over 118 photos. Jason and I agreed on price and things were set in motion to purchase just 3 days later the deal was complete and the car ready for shipping. He took pictures and videos of the loading as well. I’d put my trust in this dealership and Jason in a classic car purchase. Do your homework and remember your buying an old car not a new one from the factory and you will be pleased too.
This was a very interesting place to visit. Great looking huge variety of cars being offered for sale on consignment and some by auction. Very friendly people to answer any questions but they don't follow you around like a hungry salesman. Had a blast. I saw many vehicles I would have been glad to own.
First time here and the amount of classics in one place for sale is amazing. My disappointment falls that about 75% or so of the vehicles they had in there the paint jobs all had some pretty substantial imperfections in them. If I’m going to spend 30k, 40k, 50k plus on a vehicle I expect the paint job to reflect that but sadly in most cases this was not the case. Don’t get me wrong I don’t expect a car to be perfect but when it’s obvious the vehicle has been restored it should have a great paint job to match the asking price. I want to be able to take something home and sit back and admire it, not go well where do I start correcting this paint job…
Needed to kill a couple of hours while in town.... what a great place to go...crazy collection of both vintage and newer cars and trucks...every aisle seem to have something better than the last...wish I could have brought all of them home....if you love beautiful vehicles and you are looking for a new "toy", you must check this place out... almost every one is for sale. Free admission for military...
Had an awesome time...what a great experience. I was even invited to come back to caffeine and Chrome event on the last Saturday of every month by the owner..lots and lots of cool cars and history here ...would definitely go back.
Loved this place. They have several areas to rent for Private parties. The staff was really nice. Really spacious area. The cars are an added bonos to the rental space. I would visit the previous location. This is a definite upgrade, very nice space.
On 01.28.2023 I went to Gateway Classic Cars Caffeine & Chrome event. It turned out to be a wonderful event! My only suggestion would be for them to have signage to come inside the building to see more cars. When I arrived there were a few outside and it was not clear that a treasure trove of cars were inside to be discovered. But after I found my way in this gurl was a happy car geek. I loved that they also had a Soapbox Derby going for the kids. Several more events are scheduled. Check out Gateway Classic Cars website.
My hubby and I are both gearheads. We were looking for a place to get married and when we found out this place has an event space we couldn’t pass this opportunity up. The staff was extremely helpful, you are given the WHOLE day to decorate, they assist throughout the event and you can select a car to be placed within your space for guess to take pics. The cars made a perfect backdrop and didn’t need anything more. To sum everything up the whole experience was freekin awesome! Thank you Allie and staff for your hospitality ?.
Great people to deal with, and very knowledgeable about the vehicles and the process of selling my car worldwide. I will definitely buy and sell with them again.
My boyfriend's cousin, celebrated ? ? his 50th/retirement party @ Gateway Classic Cars on yesterday!!! It was fabulous!!! The showcase of all the classic cars ? on the showcase floor was beautiful!!!! The decor ? they had for his birthday/retirement was on point ? I really loved ? this and had a fabulous time, he had a dj, photo booth, balloons, candy ? bar!!! Lounge chairs, cozy chairs, love seats!!! If your thinking about having a party ? for your birthday, retirement, anniversary or for whatever reason ? I recommend this place!!! We had a ball!!!

The family had a blast there and enjoyed it with all the vehicles and food from the areas. We had 2 3 year olds and really luved it there. Thank you will b back in time lol maybe looking at a wedding venue. Great time and awesome vehicles.
Even with the challenges of having the showroom closed, Gateway Classic Cars provided outstanding customer service to us as we were purchasing our 1956 Chevy 3100. Damon Bounds, the manager, was very communicative and quick to respond when we were coordinating our trip to come see the truck. He walked us through every detail and answered every question we had. He is extremely knowledgeable about classic cars and has an evident love for his job.
The whole team at Gateway helped make our transaction go smoothly. They even set us up with a mechanic and arranged for shipping. We couldn't be more pleased with the service we received at Gateway in STL!
